I had a great gluten free dinner and breakfast. The gluten free breakfast also included 2 pieces of gluten free pumpkin toast which was amazing. Staff went to a lot of trouble to cater for me. Made my trip wonderful.

As a local I really needed to get away for a bit of coolness and comfort but didn't really feel like travelling.
I had heard the newer rooms at the Colonial Club were really nice and I've always enjoyed the pools there so splurged and had a weekend of comfort.

Simply one of the worst hotels I have ever stayed in. Put here by Quantas when flight cancelled who should be ashamed of themselves when good hotels are plentiful in Cairns. Hotel is used by two diets of customers. Firstly at least three airlines for housing passengers with cance

Dear JohnandFlo I appreciate you taking the time to share your experience here at the Cairns Colonial Club. Understandably it is quite devastating for us to read reviews like this. We are a conscientious team who constantly strive to provide guests with a clean, comfortable and relaxing environment. While it’s true we are an older resort, we are widely known for offering excellent value for money. I would like to learn more about the specific negative experiences you had during your stay so that I can take up with the appropriate departments. Would appreciate it if you could please contact me directly at dosm@cairnscolonialclub.com.au or on 07 4053 8816 to discuss further. Thanks again for your comments and I wish you safe travels with no further flight delays!

What price do the night time meals range from. Is it a buffet or individual menu choice .
They have options where you order from a menu or the buffet bar. I took my sister and the two girls. Kids meals are available at good prices. The menu ranged from appx $15 to $30 depending what you're ordering. These prices may have change since I was there. Ring them for appx costs. The buffet which has meat, salad and desert was appx $15-25 depending on child, adult etc., The girls loved the desserts.
