2 great pools that were never too busy. The reception staff were friendly and professional. Unfortunately the cleaning of the rooms left a lot to be desired, the ashtray was emptied once in 7 days. The floors were never cleaned, neither were the cups or glasses, we made a cup of the awful instant coffee on day 2 and couldn’t drink it, the cup with mould growing was still there when we checked out. The cleaners only set the bed and changed the towels. A couple of days we had a group of about 6 to 8 boys jump the fence and take over the pool, they had to be forced out by guests, the boys then damaged one of the gates and started throwing stones at us. The management, who is aware of the issue, needs to perhaps employ some security. The hotel needs some additional sun lounges , also a cafe.

Nice hotel in the suburbs of Cairns, rooms are nice, clean with a couple of nice pools to swim in. Check in was easy and staff seemed very helpfully. Being in the suburbs and Cairns not having a very good public transport system, I wouldn’t stay here if you don’t have a car.

We really enjoyed our stay. Beautiful pool are!!! Clean, beautiful view over the pool area, a lovely balcony with comfortable chairs. Beds great. Shower very good pressure. The only downside no bbq, no cooking facilities. It gets bit expensive to eat out every night, some nights we bought food and used a public bbq. Although we had a great microwave! But we knew that when we booked the place so no dramas. Just a wish for the future. Very well served room with daily housekeeping if wanted. Highly recommended!!!

Location: The hotel is located in a suburb called, Manunda, in Cairns 7-11 Chester Court. It is about 5 km from the CBD. If you have a vehicle to move about, the location is a not an issue at all. There is ample parking within the property. However most of the vehicles were parked on the streets closer to the occupants’ rooms. The resort consists of three blocks at a triangular shaped block surrounded by Western Arterial Route 91, Cochrane Street and Chester Court. All the rooms by the side of the Western Arterial Route experience traffic noise. From traffic noise point of view, only the rooms on the side of Chester Court and some rooms along Cochrane were satisfactory to us. Most of the rooms appear to have noisy very old type of air conditioners. We state this because we changed rooms three times during our very short stay there. The entrance doors to the rooms face the road side. The opposite sides of most of rooms are on the pool side having a balcony and balcony entrance door. These doors are glass and wooden louver type. As such there is lighting coming through to the rooms. Combined with traffic noise, air conditioner noise and light coming through the louver type doors (on pool side), the sleep quality is extremely poor. Amenities: The rooms were very spacious. There was tea/coffee making facilities with ample supply of tea/coffee/sugar/cream. Every room had a mini Fridge, ironing board and a key operated safety deposit box. The beds were very comfortable. The cleanliness was impeccable. Wi-Fi was breaking off very regularly. Reception/Service: The reception staff was extraordinarily helpful and friendly and tried to help us within the limitations of the property. Breakfast/Restaurant: There is no restaurant/café. There is no breakfast served as well.

We found this hotel to be very comfortable. Our room was larger than expected and everything worked well. The hotel has two pools and both looked very inviting. Note though, that some rooms are affected by road noise during the day. The location of the hotel means it is only suitable for those traveling with a car.
