All you expect of Hilton. Reliable in all aspects. Wonderful position. Good buffet breakfast for all tastes. Lots of harbour front restaurants close
by. Excellent position for the Green Island ferry trips too.

This is a very competent and efficient hotel, well placed on the boardwalk. It wasn't very atmospheric or trendy but we did have a small problem we reported it to Housekeeping and it was rapidly fixed.

Hi, I'm an Aussie, been to Cairns a few times. Some need to know, January is HOT and Humid so be aware. Hat, hydrate and sunscreen. If you go out to the Reef, which you probs will, take seasickness tablets if you get motion sickness. Called Kwells or Travel Calm. Get from a Chemist. $2 per tablet on the boat. Wear a Stinger suit if you're snorkling, stops sunburn besides the Stingers.
There's many tour companies that go on the Reef. I sent my sister with Tursa. She loved it. Smaller boat than the others = less people.
Go for a tour on the Daintree to see some Crocs.
Go up to Kiranda via train or gondola or drive.
The Hilton is very central in Cairns.
