My wife and I stayed for one night in a room overlooking the harbour and loved every minute of it. The hotel is going through some reno´s at the moment, but that is a none issue, everything needs upkeep from time to time.
This is the second time my husband and I have stayed at this Hotel. I did not think that it could get any better but our stay on Christmas Eve was outstanding. From the moment we checked-in on Christmas Eve to our departure on Christmas...More

This is my second visit as a local to the Hilton for there amazing buffet breakfast.
A big thank you too Nadine Shields for recognising me from my last visit. We loved the selection of hot and cold buffet.
We will be back!
Excellent service and staff. The breakfast buffet had good variety as well. The location was prime - less than 5 min from the reef boat dock, a number of high-end restaurants and the Cairns night market. I would definitely stay at the Hilton again for...More

This hotel is generally nice and located in a central part of Cairns. The rooms, facilities, and amenities are acceptable but need a lot of updating. Certainly not a 5 star Hilton. Breakfast buffet is probably not worth it if you want healthy options or...More

Hi, I'm an Aussie, been to Cairns a few times. Some need to know, January is HOT and Humid so be aware. Hat, hydrate and sunscreen. If you go out to the Reef, which you probs will, take seasickness tablets if you get motion sickness. Called Kwells or Travel Calm. Get from a Chemist. $2 per tablet on the boat. Wear a Stinger suit if you're snorkling, stops sunburn besides the Stingers.
There's many tour companies that go on the Reef. I sent my sister with Tursa. She loved it. Smaller boat than the others = less people.
Go for a tour on the Daintree to see some Crocs.
Go up to Kiranda via train or gondola or drive.
The Hilton is very central in Cairns.
