I had to move out from the original hotel I stayed due to fully-booked. Since my flight is at 9:00 am, so I thought staying close to the airport would be good since I would not need to wake up early. Searched in Google Map for hotels near the airport and decided to stay at Prince of Wales Hotel mainly because it was reasonably priced with many cafes/eateries nearby. Arrived at the hotel around 6:30pm tired and hungry, but was told that the room booked had already been taken up by mistake. The lady in-charged was quick to offer an upgrade (no more studio room) with free dinner because the room needed time to be cleaned/tidied up. We ended up in a 2-room suites and the dinner was great! But we had to change room the next day after they had vacated the original studio room that I booked. For all the trouble the hotel gave me a 5% refund. Though I experienced some inconveniences, I applaud the way they handled the situation, and I actually felt that they respected their hotel guests. The studio room is quite small with attached toilet & bathroom. Unlike the 2-room suites facing the main road was quite noisy, this room at the back was quieter. The fixtures were aged. All the hotel rooms are on 1st floor with no lift. We were given 2 keys, one for the room and one for the entrance downstairs. We stayed 2 nights and left around 6:00am, just dropped the keys at the box next to the entrance. We pre-ordered Uber and it got here right on time and it took about 10min to get to the airport. Lunch menu was great with a good selection of $13-$15 options and the food portions were huge. Food was surprisingly good and quick and it was a credit tot the cooks/chef. Very relaxed atmosphere but could do with a little refresher/refit and I think the bar maid was drunk or on drugs. Happily go there again for lunch.

The rooms are clean and very modern in comparison to recent pub motel visits in the area. Great location across from Woolworths and 10 minute walk to Nundah station and less than 15 mins away from the airport. Great spot if you're in town for a quick visit with the City and Airport easy to get to without any fuss.

This is now our local. And we have had many great meals there. The Ribs are so so devious. The meals are generous. The staff are friendly. Go try it. Have not stayed in the acclamations. They also have two meals for one price on a Wed which is such good value.

Delicious meals at Prince of Wales Hotel! I had a steak and chips for only $9.90!! The staff are great, are very friendly and smile a lot. Great place to take the family for a meal. Highly recommend!!

I stayed here for 1 night in February 2019. The sole purpose of staying here was so that I was close enough to Brisbane Domestic airport without having to pay to stay at an airport hotel. To this end, this hotel served that purpose. The room was clean, the bed was relatively comfortable, and there was enough room for my bags. The shared toilet is annoying, however, for the price paid it was a fair trade. For those interested, there is also a bar, pokie machines and restaurant downstairs. This hotel is also directly opposite Wayne Swan’s office.

The only reason that this place gets bookings is due to the glossy and persuasive photos that they have online. Note - not one photo of the bathrooms! Now I know why. Factor in that this is a $60 return trip in a taxi (UBER was no cheaper) Making the room, with no breakfast $169 a night. Not good value - a total rip off. Whoever has reviewed this property in the past, I hate to see where you normally stay if you give this hovel any more than 1 star. Check-in - is at the Pokie counter, yes. Stinky, smelly, smoke-filled pokie counter. Gross. Rooms - the only nice thing is that the bed has clean linen. The bathrooms - if you can call them that! haven't been updated since the 60s and resemble something out of a prison, rather than a 'hotel' (I use that term lightly) The 'hotel' claims to have private bathrooms, however, my first room, had a door on the other side with key access? Private bathroom - NO! The carpet is disgusting and the rooms smell like a cross between a bad retirement home. I had zero sleep as they ran the dryer all night - and it sounded as though it was coming through my wall. Worst hotel I have stayed in for a long time. Access is difficult, with the stairs literally starting at the door - so it is dangerous dragging your case up and down the stairs. Deceptive marketing and descriptions - I would never recommend anyone to stay at this 'hotel' it is a joke and more overpriced hostel / backpacker accommodation. Oh and BTW there is no actual way to secure the door to your room, the only lock is the key on the outside of the door. Not very reassuring, nor safe. They should not be able to claim they are a hotel on Booking . com - they are a hostel at best.…

Just departed this morning from a 5 night stay. The stay was awesome! We stayed in the 2 bedroom unit during this time. The room was quite, tidy and clean. Nice and reasonbly modern, could have a slightly more powerful Aircon unit and a higher shower head. Shirley who was a cleaner by day and waitstaff by night in the bistro was excellent! Very atentative Professional and polite. Room was cleaned to a high standard, and her service in the restaurant was outstanding. Taylor the function manager was fabulous for the function she managed was great, her service was excellent and excution of the function Aplus! Good provided was beUtiful for function and meals! Will be staying again

Walk through a bunch of slot machines & loud people to find a bar-reception desk. We checked in & the guy took us towards our room. The first floor was a loud kareoke bar... Our room was in the secord floor. Stinky room. Very stinky. The guy said he didnt have any more rooms&left. The room was clean though...

Probably good for those people like us who just need an affordable night to stay after a late flight out from the airport. It was very close by the airport. Bathroom and toilets were quite standard. They had a small fridge and included tea, coffee and milk. The hotel is above the pokies, which we thought was amusing.
