Excellent value for the Club Lounge and lovely Room looking onto Centrepoint Tower. Such a convenient location in the city for shopping/ train travel to North Sydney or other parts of Sydney. If there's a good deal on highly recommend the Club Lounge experience. We stayed 4 nights and it was worth it to have breakfast included and be able to enjoy relaxing at night after business meetings in the lounge. We had a really delicious meal also in the downstairs bar area - best pasta I've had for some time. The chef happily made up a vegan meal for hubby as well. The only downside of this hotel is the gym. The bike and the rower had issues and need repairs. Customer service is excellent in this hotel from front of house to housekeeping/club lounge and the breakfast area. I would definitely stay here again.…
We booked a room with a view of Darling Harbour that gave my partner a view of water that she wanted & all 3 of us were able to see the planes coming into land as well as take off. The room was very spacious, close to the lift & access to the rooms was via 2 separate lifts than eliminated any security problems that could occur. The buffet breakfast was superb & you did not leave the facility feeling hungry. My daughter had without a doubt the best breakfasts she had ever had in her life. Location Location this hotel had it all. Walk to the left & you are in Hyde Park. Go right & it's Darling Harbour. And they are both easy walks. Best of all is the Light Rail stop 50 metres away in George Street just around the corner that is 3 stops to Circular Quay for all the ferry rides. Woolworths or Coles just around the corner If you need a hotel that has it all IT IS SWISSOTEL IN SYDNEY We will be returning in 6 months time because both Sydney & this hotel can compete with anything there in the rest of the world…
I paid for 4 nights at the hotel the club lounge is okay very small and room was nice and clean . the breakfast is very small and lots of kids running around I ask the hotel to send me a copy of my invoice and I ask 3 people to bring milk up to the room . took over a hour to get some milk . also went to club lounge on saturday for afternoon tea tea scones and sandwich small selection when I went to get some all the kids took them. when I went to breakfast on sat before flying home kids were running around the hotel like it was playground staff didn't seen to care. the pool is ok and spa is ok not very heated. will not be retuning .
We had a great stay - it was so good I am going to rebook. Excellent location + perfect breakfast + great club lounge. The professionalism and friendliness was consistent from all team members. I could go on it was such a great stay.
I used to look forward to this hotel’s sleek service and refinement. The hotel looks like it needs lift maintenance & more attentive staff who looked tired. The breakfast and business lounge food declined in quality and selection. I wouldn’t reccomend to pay more for the breakfast and executive lounge anymore.
3rd time staying with swisshotel Sydney and for this trip, I am very happy with the service level of front desk and we were given a room to our request which proves that they are serious in meeting our request whenever possible One big disappointment is their breakfast which is so standard like other mid range hotel. The reason why I chose to stay with Swissotel this round is because of their breakfast spread and I am not paying cheap for my room with brekkie. Hotel is in the heart of shopping belt and near to Darling harbor but bear in mind the parking charges (unlimited entry and exit) on site is AUD 90 per day. They no longer offer valet service and parking can be tricky. I will choose to stay elsewhere the next round as there is not much from this hotel that sets them apart from the rest and I could save some money too.…
Location was very convenient. It is close to malls and train stations. The staff were courteous. The breakfast was ok but the same everyday. The guy in charge on luggage and the guy at front of their restaurant that was on duty on the night of June 25 were very helpful when I asked for their help
This would be the worst “5 Star” hotel I have stayed at (and, yes, I have stayed at a huge number around the world over the past 40 years). The room on Exec Floor was ok. Everything else, especially the bar/restaurant, were terrible. Staff were in very low numbers and those that could be found didn’t seem to have a clue about their own hotel and/or how to treat a $550 night customer.
We had a prolonged check in on arrival and the priority line for Accor members whilst there, was not in operation. In fact after standing there for 5 minutes, I was asked to join the only other queue which had 3 people ahead of me. Staff member was extremely busy but remained polite given the pressure she was under. We were then told to come back later as our room was not ready and that we would receive a phone call. This never happened and when we came back at 3.00 pm we still had to wait but were happy to have a drink in the lobby lounge for a short while. The wait staff in the lounge were unfortunately either new or inexperienced as the young lady did not know what a Chardonnay wine was. After writing it for her on her order booklet, she came back some time later to say that they didn't stock Chardonnay but invited me over to the bar from where we were sitting, to come and see what else my wife and I would like to drink. Not to make it difficult I pointed to a bottle of champagne she had open and asked for that which she acknowledged and said she would bring it to our table. A little while again ... later ... she returned with a bottle f Chardonnay in her hand to ask if this is what I meant :) ... and then finally returned moments later with our drink. We also had dinner that same evening in your restaurant, where the staff struggled despite receiving advance notice & acknowledging my wife was a Coeliac, to accommodate her with gluten free bread. The room was pleasant and the remainder of our stay was fine. We would most likely come back again as I always like to give any establishment the benefit of a second chance. Thank you…
I stayed here before 5 years ago and it was wonderful, so I booked again. It was a total transformation, in the negative sense. The rooms looked tatty and not well kept, room service could only be ordered through online and not by calling and when calling about late order arrival, they were very rude. Every day, there was long queues for both lifts and it took forever to get a lift from your room to lobby. I was surprised on how different the hotel was and would certainly not stay again. Very disappointing.
