Hilton Sydney has always been one of my favorite hotels in my book and I can’t remember the number of times I keep returning to the same property each time I visit Sydney. On this particularly occasion, my appreciation to Angelica for the last minute reservation even on a Sunday morning! Hilton Sydney has never failed to impress me. Whether it be an impromptu or planned visit to Sydney. And the City Suite is just as beautiful and the city view is stunning! As a traveller and guest at Hilton, a last minute request for a night at Hilton Sydney due to my twice cancelled domestic connection flights by Qantas following the long overnight flight from London (via Singapore). I was knackered on an early arrival at Sydney airport after a 2 hour delayed at 7:30am, my missed domestic connection as a result and the subsequent 2 cancelled connecting flights home. I called Hilton Sydney and I was so glad that I know I could count on them for an impromptu overnight stay and rest. I had the deepest nap soon after I checked-in. I went to the Executive Lounge for an evening drinks and canapés, I couldn’t believe how crowded it was and I expected service standards would have dropped somewhat but it was quite the opposite, drinks are poured promptly, dishes were cleared and tables were cleaned. Everyone at the lounge has been extremely friendly and passionate about their work and it was good to see how business bounced back to its pre-COVID level. Back to Glass Brasserie for breakfast, although some new faces I haven’t seen, I was glad to see Julianna with her warm trademark smile! She recognised me and insisted to organise my favourite peppermint tea with honey, sunny side eggs with spinach and avocado, and my fresh celery and carrot juice! Even the young Kevin came to say hello and welcomed me back to Hilton Sydney! I can’t express how delighted I was to feel like I’m simply just “home away from home”! Every time I return hoping to be disappointed, however I leave full of joy - and still carrying the calories I collected from Hilton Sydney! As I checked out the next day and bid adieu to Hilton Sydney, I couldn’t help but hoping I could stay longer. Thanks again for another fond memories.…
As previously covered here, you couldn’t be more centrally located in Sydney’s CBD when staying at this Hilton property. With trains, light rail, buses and taxis literally on the doorstep, and ferries just down the road, getting out of the CBD is also very easy too. This was not my first visit to this highly maintained hotel, and as expected, the staff were professional and friendly, and the hotel offers all the features and services expected of a 5-star hotel. On my last stay, I was left underwhelmed with my overall experience, but this time was completely different... I was only there for a midweek one night and had been notified by email of a room upgrade a few days before arriving, but was thrilled to be advised at check-in that an additional complimentary room upgrade to a City Suite had been confirmed as a thank you for my HH Diamond membership. On this occasion, I didn’t dine at the hotel but did get the chance to experience the executive lounge on level 36, which is expansive and available to eligible guests all day and night, with meal options available throughout the day, starting with a self serve breakfast, through to cocktail and nibbles in the early evening. And notably, no request was too much for the lounge staff. They are a credit to this property in my experience.…
Great location in the heart of Sydney right opposite to QVB ... Great view from my Executive room able to see the Westfield tower in front of our room window...the king bed was very comfortable, the room was clean. The executive lounge on level 36 is accessible to breakfast, afternoon tea and cocktail canape' with unlimited coffee, tea and soft drinks . The staff at the the executive lounge were extremely helpful and friendly. The really make you fell at home. All in all, I was pampered and I will come and stay the Hilton Sydney.
The Hilton is conveniently located on George St right outside a light rail stop. It’s a short walk to most popular destinations within the CBD and surrounds. The hotel is gorgeous and I felt like it was worth every cent. Staff are charming and very friendly. Will be heading back there again next time I’m in Sydney.
We live staying at the Hilton if we're in Sydney. It's a perfect midtown location, right opposite the Queen Victoria Building (in fact you can see the QVB from the hotel dining room or the hallway to your room), with the Westfield shopping mall and Hyde Park just two blocks away. If you're flying in, it's ab easy airport train trip to Town Hall Station. Rooms are always solid and well equipped, staff are friendly and efficient. And if you do have the chance to try their buffet breakfast, don't miss it as there's a great selection plus a stunning view to go with it.
Absolutely brilliant. We were upgraded to a suite in recognition of our Diamond status. Room was beautiful. Fabulous spa bath, comfy bed and soft linens. Executive Lounge amazing. Plenty of snacks and variety of alcoholic beverages. Breakfast was yummy. Lots of choices. In room dining was excellent. Food amazing. Staff however were wonderful. Exceeded our expectations. Incredibly friendly and helpful and went over and beyond. Well done everyone at Hilton Sydney. You’re a credit to the Hilton brand. Can’t wait to return. If traveling by train from airport get off at circular quay then L3 light rail to QVB. Stops right outside hotel. Too simple
Sydney Hilton has the best location. It’s directly opposite the Queen Victoria Building and on the light rail line – just a short 3 stops from Circular Quay – making it the perfect place to explore Sydney. Sydney Town Hall is a 2minute walk, Pitt St Mall is a 1minute walk and Darling Harbour a 5minute walk. And Hyde Park a 2-3minute walk. Brilliant. A wonderful welcome including a call from the Executive team – recognizing my Hilton Honors status. I was given a room on the 42nd floor which had great views and ensured no city noise. Loved it. The room was spotlessly clean, and the bathroom included a bathtub and an incredible shower (complete with multiple shower heads) – and a bonus was being able to dialup the water temperature to super-hot (which I loved). The towels were white and fluffy. Sydney Hilton has an executive lounge which is also excellent – lots of space to sit and relax (or take a call) – with a coffee machine, great range of tea and cold drinks. Plus, nibbles and alcoholic drinks late in the day. The highlight of my stay was visiting the Glass Brasserie for breakfast. The staff seating customers were excellent, fast and efficient. I requested a table a little out of the way and this was easily accommodated. The breakfast buffet is excellent – catering to paleo, gluten free and with everything from cereal, pastries, yogurt, meats and plenty of hot dishes. Perfect. One of the staff during the morning breakfast was simply amazing – “best of the best” – Junisa. Junisa made eye contact, was attentive (refilling coffee, refreshing water) and working tirelessly to ensure plates were cleared and tables reset – and all with a smile and professionalism. (I did make a point of meeting the manager to highlight how amazing Junisa was.)…
Stayed at the Hilton in Sydney this August for 5 days. Had a fabulous experience. The hotel is centrally located on George Street with everything available in the vicinity. The rooms were spacious, clean and equipped with all amenities. I was on the top floor- 43, with a splendid view of everything. The only thing I would say is that the dining experience at the Restaurant was super slow- Glass. The marble bar is a great place to hang, but the staff was too eager for you to finish up quickly. My colleagues and I met up for drinks several times. If you are a business traveller, this hotel should be perfect for you.
From check in experience, room allocation, Executive lounge through to my breakfast at Glass found all facilities and service to be back to impeccable standards. All my expectations had been exceeded as a long term guest. Thank you.
Hotel reception staff have been very unhelpful. I checked on a 'pending amount' on my personal card twice during my visit, they said it would be refunded. 10 days later no refund. No help from the Hilton. I have already paid for the hotel before I left but they're still holding a large sum against my personal card. How is that service? Surely that's an unnecessary delay in the era of internet banking. A hotel that
