The Corcal de Liebana is located next to Potes, in the countryside and surrounded by mountains. It is a typical construction of the zone, which maintains a rural aesthetic combined with design and decoration with all the necessary services to enjoy a holidays . The hotel has 14 rooms and 2 apartments. We have gym and relax area with Jacuzzi and sauna where you can relax after a busy day touring the Picos de Europa area. In a nearby building we have Casa Fofi Restaurant, founded in 1865 with great tradition and recognition in the area, specializes in traditional home cooking with local dishes like Cocido Lebaniego and meets . Nearby you can visit places of great natural interest as many routes through the Picos de Europa , ride the Cable Car of Fuente De , visit Potes , Santo Toribio de Liebana or close to know the beautiful beaches of the Cantabrian coast.

Stopped here for three days as part of a motorcycling break with a friend. The hotel is clean, very comfortable and perfectly located for the Pecos. Rooms are large and well equipped with very comfortable beds, and with fab views from the small balconies most seem to have. Lockable garage is available for bikes but cars must park on the road a short distance away. Handy bar close by. I do not hesitate to recommend this hotel.

A wonderful small posada in a small village - quiet and tranquil, but only a short hop to Potes if one wants the range of groceries, restaurants, and other diversions of the main regional tourist center. Spacious rooms, good breakfast, and nice views of the Picos. A short 1-minute walk to a restaurant owned by the same people (Restaurant Fofi) that has an excellent menu of the regional cuisine at prices we found especially good. There is far more to do in Picos de Europa than we could accomplish in the three days we spent in there, but for sure this will be our base when we return.

We looked for many options to stay at or close to Potes, since it could offer benefits when staying close to downtown. Fortunately, we decided for Posada Corcal de Liebana even though it was some miles from the town. They provide not only great accommodations and service but spacy rooms. However, you may have to take into consideration that the rooms do not have air conditioning that could be an issue during hot summer nights.

We stayed there in a triple room (2 adults + 1 child). Our hub for the first part of our stay was Potes, but was charmed by the images of this hotel so we booked with them. Our choice proved right - Potes was pretty hectic and crowded (summertime), so we enjoyed staying at a place which is more relaxed, yet in the vicinity of Potes and its restaurants. The Posada had a nice garden with sofas to enjoy some time outside. Our room was clean and spacious. Breakfast was good. The next supermarket was 5 minutes' drive from us and Potes 10 minutes, so ideal location. Will be back!

From the story the owners told about the hotel, we had expectet a hotel with more atmosphere of a family run hotel. Posada El Corcal did not at all meet our expectations. Scented commen areas with lounge music everywhere might apply to some, but unfortunately not us. We had booked for 5 nights, but we left after 3. Three stars? A very helpfull staff, a clean room and nice breakfast.

Lovely setting, beautiful views from the balcony of snow capped mountains, clean, well equipped and decorated rooms. Staff very friendly and helpful. Local bar and restaurant were excellent. We could not ask for more. Will definitely pay another visit.

We stayed here as part of a package with Colletts Mountain Holidays. We would return on our own so impressed were we with the friendly staff, good service and value for money food. Authentic, rustic local dishes were enjoyed in the adjoining restaurant. Try the fish soup if you have the chance; it's amazing. Much better to stay in this establishment than further up or lower down the gorge as you are in a more 'open' situation. No parking at the hotel which might put off some, but the parking is in lay bys on the main road beside or near the restaurant and we could see our car from our bedroom. If you don't want to take your car to Potes there is a pleasant 40 minute walk alongside the river on a jeep track; otherwise Potes is just a few minutes drive away.

This hotel is superb, very clean with all the creature comforts of home, rooms very well appointed and great location for Picocs de Europa. The owners are so helpful and pleasant. There restaurant bar serves great food at very reasonable prices. Would recommend.

This small hotel was comfortable and had good facilities for the price. It offers good value accommodation, is spotlessly clean and has additional services such as a small gym, hot tub and sauna. It is also well placed for the Picos de Europa and only a couple of minutes drive from Potes. The neighbouring bar / restaurant is also part of the establishment and convenient as we simply put all drinks and meals on the final bill - which was very reasonable after 3 nights.
The hotel I'd just of the main road around the Picos but that isn't so busy and we found it very peaceful. The only real niggle was the amount of noise that had a tendency to come in from the corridor but there is a second door between bedroom and en suite that can keep that out.
The variety and quality on offer for breakfast was OK and what we expected for the price, not as good as other places we stayed at but this was a cheaper stay and, we thought, perfectly adequate. The main deficiency was the lack of a good range of fruit (although there were apples and oranges).
If we visit the Picos again I wouldn't hesitate to book here for a simple but very welcome and peaceful place to stay.

Hi,
The hotel set about 50m from the main road, which is not that busy. You can park on the road, we never had an issue doing that (in July), and easily roll your cases to the hotel. If you need help with anything the hotel staff will happily offer it, it's a very friendly place.
