Beautiful resort Sales Team scam
This was our third trip to Desire RM. The resort is beautiful the service is great the people are friendly but watch out for the “sales team” trying to sale you a “premier membership”. Our second trip we paid 25,000 cash to the resort sales team in exchange for “membership benefits” that included 20 free nights at a Jacuzzi Suite and future discounts on future stays. It turns out they put a lot of exclusions so they you pay the money but they end up putting you in a down graded room when you try to book saying that the rooms are all booked. This happened on the next two trips we made. Basically they scammed us out of about 10,000 dollars. To make it worse out last trip they offered us a free massage and then when we checked out they said we had to go to another sales pitch to get the massage so the charged us 400 dollars. The resort is great the people are great but do not buy anything from thier sales team. It’s a complete scam.…

Good times
This is the best lifestyle resort in the world. Playmakers, action, fun. Restaurants could have some more variety and the rooms could be renovated. Beach is ok, but not excellent. Overall very recommendable.

Best vacation ever 😜
We just visited from 27 Dec-03 Jan. We had a great time. Everyone we have meet at the resort are awesome people. We are glad we meet all of you. Staff is by far the most friendliest, great to hangout with and super helpful anytime of the day and night. Special Thanks to all the Playmakers: Branko, Pao, Bee, Kevin, Richi, and Yuni, you guys are awesome and we can’t wait to see you all and party like Rockstars again😜Playmakers were very professional and respectful at all times. They were always there to help out when they could. Their ability to get everyone involved in fun activities added to the great DRM experience. Job well done!!! Can’t wait to see you all again guys. Hi me and my partner have plan to stay at desire riviera maya.but we have some doubts plz help us. Can we have sex near to nude pool? Sex is restricted ? Can she wear sexy sheer dress on resturant or bar? Sex is allowed out side the room on nude area?
1. They say no sex by the pool besides selected months for swingers month. 2. Sex is not restricted. You can have sex by the jacuzzi 3. As long as she’s covered up when going into the restaurants, the sheer dress should be fine. The bars are outside, no clothes needed. 4. I’ve seen sex going on the couples patios, jacuzzi, and their rooms if the doors are open. I hope this answers your questions/concerns

We're a lesbian couple and I'm wondering if the resort has any issues surrounding the "couples only" policy regarding the LGBT community. I know 2 single guys or 2 single girls could easily show up and claim to be a "couple" for a couples only resort as a loophole.. so we're worried about booking, showing up and being told that they don't believe us to be a legitimate couple simply because we're 2 women. Has anyone run into this? I've heard horror stories of similar situations. Thanks!
2 females can go during Aug, the resort doesnt have a problem with FF couple.

Hi, what currency would you advise taking? Dollars or Mexican pesos? And what will we be spending it on if we stay in the resort? - Should we tip in pesos? (also wondering how much to take for 9 nights?)
We take Dollars. It’s up to you if you want to tip. Some do and some don’t. We tip $2 for waiters and/or cooks if we order something from the grill. A little goes a long way for the maids, bartenders, servers, and Butlers, if you have one. $20-$30 per day will go quick. It’s not expected but appreciated.
