Although the weather is always better than the Midwest, we always look forward to spending warm days by the pool. Unfortunately the pool was so cold and was empty most of our stay. Very disappointing to not see the kids enjoying the sun in the water. Hotel is nicely kept and does have things for the kids but if I’d want them indoors we can keep them home.

I booked a last minute family trip on a whim here and had a hard time believing this resort could be five stars and the price I booked it for - but it totally was! I almost hope it stays a hidden gem. Definitely a family oriented resort - highly recommend for families with young children. My kids - 8, 5, and 3 - had a blast. I could not get them to stay away from the Kids Club which meant hubby and I had a lot of kid free time by the pool. The kids club is wonderful - they had lots of activities, the indoor gym/play area is awesome. The other kid offerings are great - indoor climbing wall and trampoline area, zip line, video game room and bar with board games all set up. There is a movie theater that we didn’t use but they show movies every day at 4, 6 and 8. The other element that kicked this to five stars for me was food quality. Normally all inclusives have pretty bad food on offer but this food was all wonderfully made and beautifully plated. Highly recommend Gallerie de Sens - make reservations in advance as there are only ten tables and it’s adults only (we dropped our kids at Kids Club). The Mexican and Steak restaurant both good. Italian was meh. The tea house has gourmet gelato which was delicious. Note on quieter weeks only two restaurants are open per night but we didn’t find that problematic. The room was spacious and the kids bunk was nice, plenty of room for all of us. I wish the rooms had a tub and not just a shower. Pools are beautiful - I don’t think they are heated however. Adults side is very nice, with plentiful cabanas. Hot tub not hot though. Spa is gorgeous - I wish the hot tub there was hot but my treatment was great. The resort is brand new (cab company didn’t even know what resort I meant) and so there are teething pains. The last hurricane caused a lot of destruction which they had to rebuild from. My only criticisms are related to the teething pains - our first room smelled of mildew but they switched us to a new room. The service in the restaurants is incredibly kind but can be slow - be patient. They seem to be trying to figure out how much staff they need as the resort can be very quiet or busier and we stayed at the end of off season. Language barriers do exist - not everyone speaks fluent English - but I didn’t find this to be a problem. And I can’t expect everyone to speak English! I would definitely return and hope the resort maintains its wonderful peacefulness. The service is excellent even when a bit slow.

We stayed 10 nights at the hotel and in general had an amazing time. Hotel: - Very modern - Great amenities ( especially for kids) - very nice sea view rooms ( stayed in the amber suites) -Pools are large and clean and next to the beach. Plenty of sun beds and an adult only area with a large hot tub pool. - 20 mins drive to the airport ( really easy) -beach was generally clear. Staff cleaned it each morning of seaweed, however after one stormy night the sea wasn’t useable. Weather: We were quite unlucky and had rain almost everyday of the trip. However I have been told this is unusual- Weather can be expected to be unpredictable on the coast. We had 4 days of great weather out of 9. Staff: The staff were super friendly and were always asking if we needed anything throughout the day. It was my girlfriends birthday whilst we were there and Danae + co decorated our room whilst we were at dinner, and left a birthday cake in there also. This was greatly appreciated! The entertainment staff were always so friendly and had plenty of activities on offer for the days where the weather wasn’t so good. Big shoutout to Victor, Charlie and Jocelyn who kept us thoroughly entertained! The reception staff and porters were also very attentive. Marco especially was very helpful. Food: We had a mixed experience when it came to the good. My girlfriend was vegan and there were near to no options on any of the evening menus. Even the vegetarian options were limited ( hotel was at low capacity, so I don’t know if everything was open?). However, we spoke to the staff and they accommodated for us by coming up with a vegan meal every night- thanks to chef Christian and waiters Rodrigo and Rafael. For myself the restaurants served decent quality food. My favourite was the steak house( the steaks were pretty good!). The breakfast buffet was generally good, especially the egg station. However, not to many vegan options again. Drinks in generally were tasty but not sure how strong they were. I’m sure you could request a double up if needed. Had main label spirits which were good. Overall: We had a great stay at the sensira. The activities were easy to get to from the hotel with the journeys not being too long. The staff were super friendly and I think at a greater capacity the hotel would be really lively ( we stayed at about 15% capacity). Only improvements for me would be the food and weather which is uncontrollable.

I stayed 5 nights at this resort. I liked that it was new and not too far from the airport. I picked this particular resort for the adult only amenties, the good reviews online, and that everyone said it was low occupancy. I was not happy my last night. I made a reservation earlier that week with the conceige via phone for Galeria de Sens and they didn't have it when I arrived. This place is only taking ten guests. The rude, disrespectful Clayton acted as if I was lying. I have been at the resort a total of 5 nights and never just showed up. I knew it was reservation only. He never offered an apology for their mistake and acted as if I was an inconvenience. I ate dinner every night at 9pm, so why would I just decide to come there at 7:30pm if I didn't reserve. But anyway.....just confirm to reconfirm because I was given false information several times during my stay.I had to ask for a comp wine or champagne due to their mistake and inconvenience. Being a luxury brand, I should not have to ask. Situation was not handled properly. Room- My room was very nice. I had an Agatha king room facing the ocean, above the infinity pool. Loved my center view from the 4th floor!! Some other rooms I would not have wanted for a view. Robes and slippers were provided and full sized luxury bath products. Just note that there is no privacy from the shower area. There is a screen, but it isn't closed off and doesn't provide full privacy. Just something to consider if you are booking with others. Food- Buffet had good and just ok days. Dinner at the a la carte restaurants was always good. I ate at all of the them except for the Mexican one. Room service was 24 hours, food was good as well. Beach snack bar was somewhat slow with timing, but items were tasty. Even when they cooked at the beach bar, it was still as slow as when they were bringing food from the main buffet kitchen. Tea house gelato is superb. The dessert items there, just ok. Bars- Top shelf liquor is available. They have a great variety of options. House wine was pretty good too. The Amber lounge is adult only, but only for guests in Amber or Ruby rooms, not all adults. Service- All the staff have been excellent and accommodating minus Clayton and his attitude. Please tip your servers and bartenders. They deserve it!! Some do not speak English very well, so the barrier can be challenging at times. Lots of miscommunication around here with some stuff. Housekeeping- needs some improvement. Out of my 5 days, my room was cleaned 2 days only. I had turndown service only 1 night. So on my last night here, they put a privacy tag on my door. Never asked for it at all. But it read that they suspended housekeeping since I requeated privacy. That is a Lie. Beach- the beach isn't the best. The beach in Cozumel and hotel zone has the pretty blue water, Not Puerto Morales. But the 5 pool areas are divine. Spa- Just spectacular. The hydrotherapy circuit is awesome. I had a body treatment and it was the best I have ever had. I went to the spa twice since it was the best. They also have a kids spa area just for them. Common areas- well kept grounds, lots of activities, the smoking area is even super nice. The only thing I didn't like was the access to the beach level restaurants. There is no direct elevator to them. You have to walk outside to access them. Not a good thing when it's storming outside. Overall I really enjoyed my time here. It was quiet for most of my trip, which I enjoyed. Not sure I will return, because it is a more kid friendly resort as it is advertised. At full capacity, this necessarily is not the spot for a relaxation getaway. I heard loud music or kids even from inside my room. The bali bed beach area, that is notated as adult only, had families there. There is also only 1 adult only restaurant which requires a reservation- but make sure they actually get your reservation or you will get treated like a reservation bandit
