4 years ago when i visited Campomaggio I was purely in love with the location!
After 4 years, we came back in the beginning of August... but all was disappointing.
The inside smells old, no investment has been made during this period and nothing has been refurbished. The rooms ar

Dear Guest, We all are very sorry for your very critical judgment. Every winter, during the closing period, we carry out extensive maintenance to keep Villa Campomaggio always at a high level. As you know we are talking about a XVIII century building, therefore it requires a lot of maintenance, and we always do it! October is the last month of the season, so it’s possible to find something not perfect, but maybe small details, talking about "degradation" is really unrealistic and pretty offensive for me and my staff. We also think that your comment on our attitude to take care to the gain only and not to the maintenance of our hotel is very impolite and inappropriate. Contrary to what you wrote, many of our customers who come back each year confirm their satisfaction in always finding something new and everything in order. We are very sorry that you did not breathe the nice atmosphere that’s here in our Hotel and that did not appreciate the passion which we all work with. All the best

The Villa Campomaggio is a lovely hotel. Clearly a lot of thought, care and expense has gone into restoring it, albeit perhaps the ambition was a little more than it could sustain.

We had a superior double room, which was huge, with a massive comfortable bed and a huge amount of

Hello dear Guest, thanks for your kind review. I just care for specify some details for those who read this review. Inside the hotel there is not a Restaurant but a Wine-Bar serving only high quality local products. We do not think it's therefore right to have the same expectations for a restaurant. They are two different things. The information that the hotel changes ownership or management is not true. Where did you get it? Best regards

The grounds are beautiful! The property is like what you see in the pictures! Spacious rooms and a place to rejuvenate. However, I would like to mention a few improvements that could be made:

1. Signage is very poor on the grounds. We arrived with our rental car. There was no c

We stayed here two nights and found it absolutely enchanting.
The grounds and views are magnificent, and the rooms well equipped with firm king size beds.
Just walking around and even sitting with a book in the different corners of the estate add a new definition to serenity.

Hi, My husband and I will be traveling to Florence in the beginning of May 2016. We would like to stay in Villa Campomaggio. We will be traveling from Milan (Centrale Station) to Florence (I don't know the station name) by train. However, we don't know how to reach the villa from Florence train station? What is the most convenient way to go to the villa by public transportation and how long will it take? Any reply will be highly appreciated since we really want to book the villa before it sold out on our travel date. Thank you.
Hello we are staying at the villa for 4 days from the 1/09/16 to 5/9/16. We are coming from Verona by car. How many hours will it take to get to the villa?
