Detailed Reviews
We were a little late arriving, and wished we could have timed our earlier hike to get us there a little sooner. We had a lovely site with a lake view. Roz was a very careful owner and has worked hard to make a campground that is quiet, family-friendly, clean and hospitable.
Due to travel restrictions, this was Roz's first experience with her RV park filled to capacity with Newfoundlanders. Our neighbours were ready to party late, but Roz kept a watchful eye and everything was quiet around 11, which is an hour later than Roz wanted, but fine with us! We had to laugh at the camper 6 or 7 spots down who kept playing the same song on his guitar. Limited repertoire or family members shouting "Play it again!" each time? We don't know, but he was far enough away that it was funny.
This is a special park in that we were offered a complimentary box of excellent firewood. We had a stunning fire and loved watching the moonrise and stars come out. It is a quiet, wonderful place.
The next morning we had hot showers in very high-end showers that Roz keeps very clean.
We really enjoyed the hike around Crescent Lake. There were very informative sign boards giving us the history of the lumbermen and how the lumber companies crushed their hopes for fair wages and improved working conditions. We heard there as a short 1 KM loop, which we hoped to take. Not great signage! We walked it all, and were never really sure where we were until the very end.
We have booked 2 more 1-night stays in August and September. Enough said!

We found this park on the internet and went there on spec and were incredibly surprised by what we found. The park is well maintained, all sites are serviced with water and electricity and are private. They have fire pits and wood with the fire bundle free. The wood is well dried Apsom slabs that burn beautifully Most sites have a view of Crescent Lake.
The owners Roz and Doug are great and very accommodating. The comfort station has 3 bathrooms and each has a large comfortable shower in it ,so total privacy.
The dump station has the hose fixed into the intake tank so you only have to hook it up. Very convenient.
I’ve stayed in over 30 RV Parks in Newfoundland and this one of the best.

We have been staying here for the past 4 years and love this place. It is situated in a beautiful and historic area of Newfoundland and has a great wilderness hiking trail which starts in the park. The bathrooms are unique in that you shower in your own bathroom with sink, toilet and mirror. Certainly a great place to start your day!!
The owners, Doug and Roz, are friendly and accommodating to their guests needs. We had two small problems with our RV and Doug came and fixed both.
I have reviewed this park previously and wanted to do an update to confirm that the standards and experience here has remained consistently high over the years.

+1
The park was very clean and tidy. It offers spacious well groomed serviced sites, backing onto the beautiful lake. The comfort station provides laundry facilities and large clean shower rooms. A beautiful hiking/walking trail surrounds the park and offers even more beautiful scenery. Roz (owner) and Denise (park attendant) are very friendly and offer lots of suggestions on how to make it a very enjoyable memorable holiday ... they are terrific! You will not be disappointed with your stay at Crescent Lake RV Park, we will be back next year!

Great campground also for tents. Very clean and nice showers and toilets.
Hosts are very kind and can give a lot of helpful information. Beautiful Hazelnuttrais starts right at the campground. Swimming in the lake just a few steps from our tent.

We absolutely loved this beautifully wooded shoreline RV Park. It gets top rating from us and is the 19th park we stayed in during our month long visit to Newfoundland. Everything we needed and/or wanted was there. We cycled to the modern personal little heated bathrooms, complete with rain showers. A lovely morning hike from the campground, and a visit to a nearby museum made for a perfect day. Visiting with our very friendly and engaging host Roz rounded out our stay. Did I mention the lake monster Cressie..yep, she’s there!
