Welcome to the island of Brac What do you need to feel at home in a hotel? First-class quality and excellent service are certainly at the top of the list. Of course, individuality and exceptional charm are also crucial. It is a signature feature that makes something distinctive, unique even. The unique feature here is the ambiance created by the 300 year old homes made of stone and our exceptional service and quality. We have placed particular emphasis on modern art or rather the bridge that combines this art with history, tradition, and modernity. Hotel Lemongarden houses the Lemongarden collection including exquisite pieces by select Viennese artists as well as international, contemporary artists. Art runs like a common thread through our hotel located on an idyllic island. It begins in the entrance area and accompanies you in every room. It creates places of comfort and a feeling of being at home. Hotel Lemongarden is a privately run hotel. When we say personal service, we mean it literally. Simply let us know what will make your stay even better. It is our goal to ensure that you feel great here and that your stay is unforgettable. We look forward to being able to pamper you in our hotel! Helena Ramsbacher & the Lemongarden team

This hotel was one of the most beautiful hotels we have stayed at. The grounds are simply stunning and the location is idyllic, just a short bike ride down to the private beach which is so relaxing, and then there is the pool which is just as beautiful as the photos make it out to be.The grounds are kept impeccably and the swimming pool is just stunning. We loved relaxing around the pool each day and throughly enjoyed how quiet and peaceful it was (the perfect couples retreat due to no children). The food at breakfast is one of the best I have had at a hotel, the location on the water front is incredible, but the really win is the huge choice from the a la carte menu. Truffle scammbled eggs, fresh pastries, fruit salad, smoked salmon... there really is everything you could ask for but make sure you try the lemon jam! We joked we would go back just to eat that homemade jam again.
A truly luxurious holiday and a real escape when you want to switch off from the outside world.

The Transfer from the airport is by speedboat which takes approximately 30 minutes.

Our Deluxe Suite/maisonette was rather disappointing. The Suite was located on the top floor just underneath the roof and had no balcony or Terrasse, making it rather dark and gloomy in spite of the size of the rooms.

On the homepage all he rooms are full of light and colors. This was not our case. Although we booked for 8 nights this was the only option which they could offer us. All other rooms fully booked was the reply they gave us when we asked if we could have another lighter room.

The Restaurant is located directly on the harbour. Serves breakfast lunch and dinner.
Depending on the weather it can be quite fresh eating outside. The do have seating inside but on a reduced capacity.

The private beach is about 10 mins away.
The beach is really very peaceful and the sea is extremely clear. The restaurant is surrounded by flowers. The food is good but the selection is rather limited.

Service on the whole is correct and friendly.

We expected a friendlier departure. No-one asked us if we enjoyed our stay or if the hotel met our expectations. Shame really.

Dear Pinnochio10, thank you very much for taking the time to provide us with your feedback. It is indeed sad to hear that our Deluxe Suite was dissapointing for you and did not live up to your expectations. Our houses are over 300 years old, therefore each room and suite is individual and has its own special charm. As we were already fully booked during your stay and all rooms were already occupied, we had no opportunity to offer you another beautiful Deluxe Suite. We are happy to hear you enjoyed our beautiful private beach and were happy with our attentive service. We are sorry that we have missed to ask if you have enjoyed your stay at the check out. Thank you again for staying with us. We hope to see you soon! All the best from Sutivan, Helena Ramsbacher & her Lemongarden team

Stayed three nights in the Definis suite 3 in May 2022. Access to hotel and rooms is not suitable for handicapped persons, as there are a lt of steps to climb and parking is 200 m away (Shuttle service by golf cart).
Room was spacious, well appointed and spotlessly clean. Bathroom floor slippery when wet. Room design is a matter of taste, though. No TV set in bedroom.

The strong points of the hotel are definitely the amazing gardens and the pool area which are simply fabulous. The pool is heated or cooled according to the season. There is ample of space and privacy. Towels, deckchairs and umbrellas are first class quality, pool service is attentive.

Breakfast was served by the harbour side and left nothing to desire.
Dinner was served at the same romantic location. Food was superb, but prices a bit steep.

There is also a beach club with shuttle service which we did not use, however.
Other services include speedboat transfer from Split airport and car rental.

Prices are, of course, also 5 star level.
Highly recommended!

Dear Herbert E, thank you very much for your wonderful review and the kind words regarding your stay with us. We are happy to hear you've enjoyed our beautiful gardens and the pool area, which is the heart of our hotel Lemongarden. Roses, hibiscus, and bougainvillea – they play a main role in the picturesque garden at the Lemongarden. The bougainvillea especially enchants guests with its glorious colors around the outdoor pool and forms columns as if on a trellis, and there are many columns since our pool has a length of 30 meters. Depending on the season, the pool is heated or cooled. Our head chef Ante Udovičić loves his job. Quality is the decisive criterion for him not quantity. It is better to have less of something that is a much higher quality. The set menu offers around 20 dishes, 10 of which vary daily. Always regional, seasonal, and homemade – this is the philosophy. Due to the nature of the old stone buildings, unfortunately not all our rooms are suitable for handicapped persons. Please let our team know of any special needs and we will be happy to assist finding suitable options. We're looking forward to welcoming you soon! All the best from Sutivan, Helena Ramsbacher & the Lemongarden team

The grounds and hotel at Lemongarden cannot be faulted to be honest. A little oasis in Sutivan..
we stayed in a two bedroom suite which was ample space for us and great to have two full bathrooms for us to use. The balcony terrace was tranquil and gave us a hideaway at the beginning and end of the day.

The grounds people here clearly work very hard to maintain the property, it is exquisite. The pool and garden areas are clean and picturesque. The beach area is equally outstanding. There are only 35 rooms and so the hotel never feels busy and maintains a peaceful ambiance throughout the day. There is no problem with finding a space at the pool or on the beach.

The waiting staff at the restaurant and bar as well as the staff at reception are great, accommodating us at every turn. Reception were responsive before and during our stay, helping us to organise our trip. A special shout out to Goran in the restaurant for his hospitality.

The food at the restaurant is very good, breakfast is outstanding, but I would say to fellow vegans (and even vegetarians) who are staying for more than a couple of nights to not choose half board as the chefs are either unwilling or unable to create vegan options beyond the 2 on the menu.
Other than this I cannot fault this hotel and hope to revisit again very soon for a totally relaxing break.

Myself and my husband went for three nights. We took the private speed boat from Split to the island. I can tell you its 100% worth it!! We were greeted very warmly, bags taken to our room, and promptly shown around the breathtaking buildings and gardens.
The entire hotel is spotless, and nothing is too much for the staff . They are always happy to see you, and fulfill every request. They also answer the phone (we rang reception for a coffee every morning which is free of charge devilvered promptly) within 1 ring.

Our room had 2 bathrooms, a living room and bedroom. Everything was spotless and maintained to a very high quality. Housekeeping staff always said hello when we bumped into them. The bed is wonderfully comfortable, and the pillows are the best!

The pool is perfect, and sectioned to give privacy. The garden is out of this world, every leaf has its place. They also use much of the locally grown produce in the food, which, is again incrediable. The seafood is spectacular, the wine is a perfect accompliment and the waiting staff makes the whole experience just wonderful.
There was a wide variety of food on the menu, it came in great time, and accommodated to short requested delays between each course. Plates were taken away speedily after finishing, and the staff again were always on hand if anything was required.

The beach is a short 7 min ride away by golf buggy. This can be ordered free of charge anytime. The ride is great, as you can see some of the beautiful coastline.
You can also eat at the beach, again, the food is amazing.

The spa (which we privately hired for 2 hrs) was the cherry on the top, giving us some unwind time inside.

I will be recommending this hotel to everyone I know, and I will make every effort to return one day.

I don't know if this was intentional but it felt like the hotel was purposely underbooked inorder to give a very personal service to each guest.

10/10 for everything . There is nothing that I can think of to improve anything. The memories will last a lifetime. Thank you to all the staff

There is absolutely nothing you can fault about this hotel from the arrival in their speed boat from Split to the amazing service you are given throughout your whole stay.

Starting with the basics, it is scrupulously clean, attentive and super friendly staff from reception (a special thanks to Katarina, who had to deal with my emotional arrival after a rather stressful few weeks travelling around Croatia!), housekeeping, restaurant and quality of food, buggy operatives. Nothing can be faulted. Attention to detail appears to be paramount. The gardens, pool and pool area are pristine and if you have time book an hour or two in the spa. It is for private use only and a real treat. The bedroom accommodation is extremely comfortable good quality towels and bed linen, hairdryer and toiletries etc.

If you can bear to drag yourself away from the heated outdoor pool, their private beach is a 10 minute buggy ride away, again nothing has been overlooked. It’s a beautiful setting, comfy sun lounges, good restaurant, bar and immaculate toilet/changing facilities and even Wi-Fi thrown in. What’s more you can hire bikes for free if you the hotel gym isn’t enough for you. We were so happy here for the last 4 days of our Croatia trip.

A truly beautiful and relaxing experience thank you to everyone that made it so. We will definitely return.

We booked quite last minute to spend 3 nights here and were so pleased to have found this hotel.
We arranged for the hotel's boat to pick us up from Split town, it took 15 mins at speed to get to Brac and dropped us off about 20metres from reception - what a way to arrive!
We had a suite looking over the harbour and it was perfect, the room was wonderful and the view was amazing, we spent ages just sitting on the balcony watching the world go by.
The hotel provides free bikes to cycle the 10 minutes to the private beach, or there is a golf buggy that will take you. The pebbly beach (take swim shoes) was really pretty and very peaceful with plenty of sunbeds and a place to have lunch and drinks.
The hotel provides maps with cycle trails so we used the bikes one morning to head off on one of the trails and cycled along the scenic coast to the west of the island.
The pool and grounds are beautiful and so tranquil, again there were plenty of sunbeds and it never felt busy.
Breakfast was really good, with so many choices and it was lovely to start the morning sitting by the water. We had planned to just eat dinner in the hotel restaurant for one night but the location and the food were superb so we ate there every evening.
The staff were all really friendly and helpful.
We had an incredible, relaxing time here that wasn't long enough so are already planning our return visit next year.

Late August 2021:
My favorite feature of this hotel was that they had a courtyard full of bikes for guests to take and use (complimentary). They include a basket on the back and a lock. There are flat paths along the beach in both directions. We biked twice to Lemongarden's "private beach" (about 10 minutes) which had amenities such as a small restaurant and bar, lounge chairs and towels, nice rest rooms and wi-fi. Bring your water shoes! Most the beaches are rocky but the water is wonderful, clear and clean.
You walk through the gardens in back of the hotel (they use the tomatoes, herbs, and peppers in their restaurant) to the pool which is stunning. But colder than the sea!
Speaking of the restaurant, definitely enjoyed it. Hotel guests have priority to sit along the water's edge, where we observed varieties of fish swimming and boats moored. On Wednesdays a 6 person band wanders the area and sings traditional Croatian songs.
This is a place to go to relax. Not a lot happening in this small village. But if you like to bike, walk, swim, and read a book, Lemongarden is highly recommended by us! And my husband was thrilled to find Netflix available in the room :-)

Having never been to Croatia I had low expectations as I really wanted was sun and a break from the awful news on television. After two nights in Split, we were taken by a short but dramatic speedboat ride to Hotel lemon garden on Brac. It is the prettiest of arrivals. Staff are so quick to get you off the boat, through check in and into your room. There are 3 different buildings to stay in, some with a bit of a walk and steps to climb. Mine, fortunately was close to the reception/restaurant/spa etc. As far as I know kids aren’t allowed, which is great as I don’t like other people’s kids! Food in restaurant is fantastic. The owner has trained the staff to such a high degree, they know what you want before you do. After a couple of days, my drink preferences didn’t have to be requested. They just appeared. Also, I like my coffee a certain way and most eating establishments have to be reminded. Not here. The perfect coffee was served each and every time. That’s a feat as it’s a busy place. Obviously not as busy as usual with the Covid issue, but no one on the island of Brac has Covid so unless a tourist brings it, you are as safe as you can be! Did I mention the food?? It’s modern, fresh and wonderful. I had the oysters every night, stunning!!! Congrats Lemon Garden, you are a jewel in Croatia.

The most beautiful hotel that I have ever stayed in, right on the harbour of Sutivan where the ferry docks from Split. The hotel is a series of incredibly renovated houses keeping a village feel. The gardens are stunning, I’ve never seen such perfection, not a single leaf on the ground and dressed with bourgonvilia, palm trees and jasmine. The pool is stunning. The delicious breakfast is served on the side of the harbour, the service is second to none. The beach is 15 minutes cycle, or the hotel take you on a golf cart. It’s stoney, but beautifully maintained with pine trees, hammocks and a restaurant. We even had a massage by the sea! And as for the spa, omg, a private spa experience all included.
