Montebay Villa is located in a lovely unspoilt bay just south of Petrovac where, surrounded by nature, you will feel yourself at home after just a few hours thanks to the great care of the staff.
Enjoy the view, the pool, and the natural beach of the bay just a few miles down.
Wake up to an amazing local breakfast and hit the roads to discover this wonderful country, pearl of the Adriatic.

Nestled in a fantastic and untouched bay, away from the crowded beaches of Budva or Becici, a couple of minutes away from Sveti Stefan... Montebay Villa is the perfect place for a relaxing and peaceful holiday ! Upon arrival we were treated a welcome drink, a real invitation to chill on the terrace where the view itself is worth the while ! We opted for one of the 3 master suites on the top floor, which are a must : refined furniture, lovely terrace and still the view... You really feel like you're home... and even more ! The service and management are efficient and discreet, food is a must and you can't get enough of chats with Natasa and Mirko (the owners) that will give you plenty of advises ! Plus : they are french speaking :) It's been the 3rd time we stay here and we definitely recommend it to our fellow travellers ! Don't miss it :)

If your idea of "luxury " is .......

cheap flat-pack broken furniture,
non-operational phone system and wi-fi,
cramped, dangerous bathroom facilities,
meagre, substandard breakfast,
beyond dull and repetitive dinner menu,
dirty swimming pool,
churlish and down right rude management,
- oh and being locked in the building after 10:30 at night - which is if nothing else a serious fire hazard.

.............then this is the place for you.

If however you have any taste, discernment or sense and don't want to be completely fleeced by this rip-off - avoid like the plague.
(All these complaints were put to the management at the time and in writing afterwards to which we received a torrent of abusive nonsense.)

A travesty

We stayed at the Montebayvilla in September 2011. We had booked a standard doble room since we really liked the internet site of the hotel and expected to arrive in a nice and comfortable boutique hotel. Unfortunately, we ended up quite disappointed and finally decided to leave earlier. We had an incredibly small room with one small window (without view) and a bath room in poor conditions. The furniture was apparently cheap and of bad quality.
The location and the view are great, the pool area is nice, the breakfast decent. Altogether, though, it is a pity the management does not understand how to exploit the great potential of the location and the house. They offer a bad price/performance ratio, especially for Montenegro. The same is true for the restaurant.

What are your exceptions from the restaurant in the french hotel in the coast of Montenegro ...?
We expected something special, a french restaurant with a high level cuisine. But what we got is a home cooking dishes without ingredients written in a menu (e.g. no shrimps in the risotto with shrimps).
And when we asked the mager about the missing ingredients, she told us that it's inside, but we cannot see it... And only when the cooker came to us, she confirmed our thoughts and apologized for everything. But manager just disappeared without saying a word.
The price/quality ratio is bad, especially for Montenegro.

Everything was great, the food is perfect, the cook Danijela is the best in Montenegro, of course there is a waiter Predrag who has a beautiful smile and is always there when something is needed. We are very pleased and we hope that we will again visit you next year. Thank you for everything.

We stayed 4 days in this beautiful villa and we can't wait to be back! A little Heaven surrounded by nature and the sea. You will feel at home with Danijela the cook, she is the soul of this house! Marija and Milan will give You all the information you need to explore more this beautiful country. You can reach super nice beaches within 10 minutes by car.
If you want to recharge your battery in a peaceful and beautiful place, that is the place to go.
Perfect for couples!

We spent a week at Montebay Villa, it was truly amazing. It's a unique place located in a wild bay, very different from the rest of the coast - fewer tourists, more quiet.
From there we were able to drive to a lot of locations for the day: Kotor's bay, Cetinje & the Lovcen, Ulcinj, and the Skadar Lake. Getting home (cause it felt like home) to Danjela's succulent cooking after a day of hiking or visiting was a forever renewed delight. Marija and Pjetrak were also very sweet, and the warm welcome we received contributed greatly to making our stay the perfect vacation in Montenegro.
We didn't even mention the view, but you'll see from the pictures.
