We stayed at this lovely house whilst walking the Pembrokeshire Coastal Path. Our first introduction came when our host came to collect us, as we had walked 15 miles, and whisked us to this beautiful country house, whereupon we had tea and cake in the garden, basking in the sunshine. After resting in our very large bedroom with ensuite bathroom and shower, we were then driven to a local pub for a meal. We had a great night's sleep in our very comfortable bed, and our stay was topped off by a delicious and fortifying breakfast. Had we wanted, our hosts George and Nikki would have driven us further on to pick up the Path. All in all, we would recommend a stay in this lovely house, with its beautiful and extensive grounds.

23 members of our local Bridge club today enjoyed a fabulous lunch at Corston House. The food was really good, prepared by the owner Nickys assisted by her friend Rosie. There was a wonderful choice of dishes ranging from chicken, salmon ham and salads followed by a tempting table full of homemade deserts......goodbye diets,I challenge anyone to resist the choices, meringues, strawberries with redcurrants banoffee pie, just a few of the wonderful puds.

This title is no reflection on the age of our hosts but rather the house and general ambience of the place. It's rather in the middle of nowhere but for a small consideration, you can be picked up from say the local community cafe in Castle Martin, convenient for the coast path. Our room was splendidly large and like the house and its contents, fascinating and at times a little eccentric. We loved it. A highlight for us was the evening meal served in the dining room around a mess sized table with the other houseguests. Good food and company at a very fair price. Your genial hosts are exceedingly helpful ; when it appeared our taxi on the morning of our departure might not turn up, a not inconsiderable lift was offered on the basis "that the dogs would enjoy a walk", at our drop-off point. If you are walking the coast path (indeed, even if you are not), a stay here is a must do.

A truly wonderful experience in a beautiful setting with amazing views. The hospitality from Nicky and George was terrific. Our room was extremely comfortable and we loved the 'old worlde' ambiance. The military artifacts are incredible. We loved the gardens and small woodland area for walks. We will be back again.

We stayed at Corston House while hiking the Pembrokeshire Coast Path and we had such a great time. Nicky and George are lovely and welcoming hosts that always try to make your stay as good as possible. The House is absolutely stunning with comfortable beds and nice rooms and the food was delicious. Even though we were two vegetarians Nicky still managed to make us a tasty dinner in no time. To sum up we really enjoyed our stay, the house, the food and the lovely conversations with our hosts and would recommend everyone staying with them!

Excellent through out. We booked last minute and upon arrival I can't believe they weren't fully booked. They are a wonderful, welcoming, accommodating and generous couple. Nothing is too much for them. The breakfast was delicious. Since it was the Easter weekend we even received a hot cross bun and a cream egg. Such a lovely personal touch. The room which is more like a suite was wonderful and very comfortable. We would without doubt come here again! Absolutely loved it.

Corston House is one of those rare places that once found you'll develop a lasting relationship with. Nicky and George understand what makes people feel at home whether you're at work (as we were) or on holiday. The house is set on the side of a low wooded hillside and has its own walled gardens that you are free to roam or find a quiet sunny spot to sit and read. Inside you'll find several generations-worth of family related military artefacts - many with stories that George will tell you all about - and plenty of space to relax or work (good WiFi). Nicky produced hearty breakfasts for us as well as packed lunches, and evening meals were a real treat to come back to after days out at sea - not to mention copious amounts of tea and endless supplies of wonderful cakes and scones. Nicky has quite a local reputation as a superb cook so stay full board if you can. Some people have described Corston House as a gem - which implies something rare, valuable and perhaps small - can't think of an appropriate alternative phrase for a very large gem! This is one of those houses that you can get lost in. Cosy large kitchen, big bedrooms and long corridors, formal wood-panelled dining room all with personalised touches that have vanished from modern hotels or don't ring true when you see 'artefacts' bought in to give a place 'character'. Find any excuse to stay. It's incredibly good value for money too!... but don't expect to go home lighter than when you arrived.
