Went here for lunch a couple of weeks ago and it was absolutely awful. The place hasn't seen a lick of paint in decades, the Manager was rude and the food disgusting. Yet they charge high prices for the muck they serve up! Such a shame for a place with such a lovely view.
I am absolutely disgusted and appalled the way myself and my partner where treated during what was meant to be a break away for my birthday, when we checked in we were giving a very dated room that was extremely small, my boyfriend went down and spoke to receptionist and they moved us, the atmosphere in the bar was awful making myself and my boyfriend very uncomfortable, the bar man behind the bar was very rude, when my boyfriend went to the bar for a drink he was spoken to very rudely and asked was he staying in this hotel, then the drink was practically thrown at him on the table it was full of all locals and we felt very unwanted after paying nearly 200 euro for a room that breakfast wasn’t even included, I will never go back to this hotel again I am absolutely disgusted what was meant to be a nice night for my birthday was a disaster. My father stays here a lot but going forward I will be advising him not to return…
What a view of the beach we had. The hotel was clean. The food gorgeous and met the most wonderful waitresses in the restaurant. Daisy was one girl and Leah we met twice such a lovely girl most helpful and polite... Had a fab time walks in and out to Malahide also a beautiful village... The only prob was the beach had a lot of jellyfish but that had nothing to do with hotel...
lovely hotel right beside the beach food was excellent. we booked this hotel last minute getaway and we will be back again for sure. Friendly staff to welcome you at front desk. The only thing i would aske for next time is a room at the front of the hotel so we have views of the sea. Highly recomend this hotel.
We had the most amazing time here at the White Sands hotel . On July 2nd 2022 The manager Sean organised our event .Also the staff were amazing and so mannerly. Want to give special thanks to Austin who couldn't do enough for us throughout the day. You made our day very special and looked after our family and friends .I would highly recommend this hotel for the welcome the service. The staff.the food absolutely excellent. We wil be returning for Sunday lunches and get together s in the future ..10 out of 10
Completely overpriced for a basic outdated room. Could not even use toilet properly as too near to the radiator. Breakfast was a complete shambles. Had to ask for menus, to be served, for several missing items, received cold coffee and half the order we asked for came after we finished breakfast asking several times for it. No excuse as about 5 members of staff and only around 7 tables seated at the time so not even busy. Would not stay again. Price is ridiculous for such basic and poor accommodation
We had an (unexpected) extended stay at the White Sands hotel. This location is wonderful it’s right across from the beach. Everything is very close there is a market and pharmacy in less than a five minute walk. Bus and taxi cab service to anywhere you would like to go. White Sands has a full-service bar and restaurant and locals that play music there on Sunday night. The staff are attentive and kind. It is an older hotel but very well maintained and clean. It’s between Dublin and Malahide which is a very nice suburb. Enjoy your stay.
Where do I Start …. Rooms are terrible , walls are paper thin you can hear the conversations in the room beside you…. Staff could do with more customer service training , when trying to make a complaint the manager was no where to be seen , he was serving food at a ball that was on the same weekend we stayed , we were meant to be contacted when he was finished but still waiting . In serious need of an update . I can safely say I won’t be staying here again
There was a very bright fire exit light on all night, if it was a contest began it and the sun, the fire exit light would win. The hot temperature of the room made it impossible to sleep, we opened a windowto let air in, all it let in was road noise. The bed was a double, which is what was advertised but as 90% of hotels give you a king the 4'6" bed was a bit of a shock. The photos speak for themselves. I have a return booking for this Saturday night and the hotel staff have refused to discuss the matter. I left a message on checking out about my disappointment and asked them to call me. I received a "to the point" email telling me to contact hotels.com
As a party of three from three different countries we were able to enjoy a pleasant 3 nights at this hotel. Location is perfect, within the Dublin area for the airport and transportation in to Dublin city. All members of staff are polite and well mannered and very helpful when asked anything. The hotel building at the front, is in need of updating and a little TLC. All areas are clean and Covid is still a priority. Rooms are a reasonable size due to the age of the premises and are comfortable. Looking at the bigger picture The new blocks at the back are very modern and you can see work being carried out to update the facility's. This is my sixth time staying at the hotel and would recommend it to anyone. A final note Our party would like to Thank Aneta who works the bar for her professional attitude to all customers with fantastic humour and politeness. She made our stay really enjoyable. She is a great asset to the White House family. Look forward to seeing her in the near future.…
