Our trip was amazing. We didn't expect it to be so good. From the first it seemed to me that the island would be average, since the price was not expensive. First of all, I would like to note the beauty of the island. The island was magnificent. There were plants everywhere, greenery all around. It can be seen that the staff take very good care of the island, as everything was clean. When we were on the island, it rained twice, which caused the leaves to fall out. In a couple of hours there was nothing left of these leaves, as the staff cleaned up that we didn't even notice them. Secondly, the service on the island was the best. I have never seen such friendly and responsive people anywhere. Everyone was sure to say hello, they wished us to have a good day. When I had lunch, I talked with Shafiq very often. He was the head of the waiters. He was constantly interested in how we were doing. He told interesting stories. It was obvious that he manages the team well. The food was good. But I can't say that it was very tasty. Half of the food was Indian. A lot of spices. The dishes were constantly changing. So it didn't bother. Every day was the dish of the day. For example, seafood was fried in front of visitors on one day. There were crabs once and so on. We were often served by Saputra and Kamal. They were funny guys. When they saw me, they offered to sit in their service area. It was a pleasure to talk to them. It seems to me that not many tourists communicate in English, so it was very interesting for them to talk to people who had a common language with them. Sometimes we talked for so long that my food got cold. There is not much entertainment on the island. Everything is mostly paid. Of the free entertainment, shows for 1-2 hours were held every evening. Sometimes contests. There were no events that were held during the day. During the day, it was possible to purchase water entertainment for money. For example, diving, boating, parachuting, etc. But everything was very expensive. Thanks to Ermie who helped organize these entertainments. She was one of the guides of this island. They send activity for the day every day. They help with the organization and booking of entertainment and wellness procedures. Overall, I really liked it. I rate my experience at 9 out of 10. Yes, it's expensive, but you consciously go there, knowing that it will be expensive.

Celebrated Christmas and wife’s 50th Birthday in Paradise Island Resort. It was truly an amazing experience right from beginning to end! Arrival: At the airport, we waited for at least half an hour for other guests to arrive before being taken to the speedboat. It took about 20 mins to reach the resort. Waiting for us was the staff with electric buggies that took us across the jetty to the reception. The view that welcomed us was simply stunning! A wet facecloth and a refreshing drink were provided on arrival. Ermie, our island host checked us in, and briefed us before being taken to our beach bungalow (room 231). During our stay: Our accommodation was kept immaculately cleaned twice a day, towel replaced, and the mini bar replenished daily. Waking up facing the sun with direct access to the beach was perfect! Ermie kept us informed of the daily programs and always available on WhatsApp for any queries. She came to say hello to us during breakfast and made sure we were looked after. We would go and eat at the Bageecha restaurant for breakfast, lunch and dinner. There were many varieties of food for everyone. We loved the Indian cuisine but in addition, it would be good have seen more oriental foods (dumplings, sushi, spring rolls). We couldn’t get enough of the desserts and fruits, they were all so delicious! After dinner we hanged out at the Hulhangu bar for drinks and entertainment. Performances like the live duo band, disco nights, international fiesta, crab race, Ms. Paradise of the year, traditional Maldivian dance/music etc... The Christmas Eve gala dinner was awesome! I’ve never seen so much food and the outdoor barbeque & buffet was superb. They even had a pork corner and big fishes hanging on display. Guest DJ was Danny Avila, he played house music all night by the poolside. It was the highlight during our stay. We loved the DJ in the Hulhangu bar as he played our kind of dance music. On my wife’s birthday, we came back from lunch to find a surprise “Happy Birthday” decoration on our bed made with leaves, petals and kissing towel swans. It looked so nice we didn’t want to ruin it. We had a couples massage at the Araamu Spa (with coconut scrub). After that we were free to use the shower, steam room and jacuzzi, served with our choice of drinks. It was such a divine and relaxing place with courteous staff. I can recommend booking a treatment while you’re there. We booked for birthday dinner in the Farumathi Seafood Restaurant. Our table was laid out with the most wonderful decoration. Red cloth, candles with flowers, origami folded napkins and a “Happy Birthday” made with coloured rice (thank you Brenda!). We had the lobster set menu which was so delicious, and the service was tip top. After our meal, the whole staff came out to sing Happy Birthday to my wife. It was a special moment she will never forget. Ermie kindly arranged for the complimentary bottle of wine and cake to be served with our meal. The restaurant had a great ambience, located at the end of the water villa pier. The day before our departure, Ermie booked our PCR test. We got the results emailed to us by the duty manager the next morning. Good result! Checkout: Luggage pick-up was arranged at 11:30am and check out at 12noon. Our flight departure time was 11:20pm so we still had the whole day to use the facilities. Ermie gladly arranged for us to use one of the garden villas, near the reception. It really helped us a lot as we needed to freshen up as our boat transfer was scheduled at 7:45pm (last service). And guess who was there to see us off on her day off? Yes, it was Ermie! She rode with us on the electric buggy to our boat and helped us wear our lifejackets. As the boat was leaving, they waved us goodbye! Not only we came for a holiday, but we also made some friends along the way and with that, a touch of Filipino hospitality… Kudos: To Ermie Navarro for being such an excellent host! Special mention: Brenda (Farumathi restaurant), Marvin, Philip & Mark (Hulhangu bar), Ari, Douie & Ram (Bageecha restaurant) and our housekeeper – Thank you all...! Likes: Quick boat transfer, the Hospitality, Christmas Eve gala/lights, Live due band, MC/DJ, Reef Shark/Stingray feeding, Walking around the island, Themed dinners at Bageecha, Farumathi restaurant, Birthday bed decoration, Birthday beach balloon, Araamu Spa. Dislikes: Flies on food, Ants on the bathroom (quickly resolved), Missing toiletries (lotion & soap). I would highly recommend Paradise Island and we will surely come back to Maldives!
