We visit the hotel on a regular basis for the outstanding food and have been doing so for many years. We also have used the excellent conference and meeting facilities and always use the hotel for accomodation when our clients visit from abroad, so we like to choose carefully - The Lodge Hotel in Coleraine is the location we know always delivers - modern, well decorated, spotless and comfortable rooms. The staff and hotel management go out of their way to make sure a visit to the hotel (each and every time) is a warm, friendly and welcoming experience - nothing ever seems too much trouble. I have attended several weddings at the Lodge Hotel also. Never disappoints! The best hotel on the North Coast and highly recommended.

First time in this hotel, just for an overnight on this occasion.
Nothing to fault and thoroughly enjoyable. The hotel is modern and comfortable and the staff are professional and friendly.
The hotel is located on a major roundabout on the approach to Coleraine, but once inside this is not at all apparent, the grounds are quite extensive and also very well maintained and there is little traffic noise.
The reception is very welcoming and has plenty of comfortable seating areas.
We had a ground floor, classic room in the annexe (which is physically joined to the hotel so doesn't feel like an annexe). The room was huge, bright, well furnished and with good lighting. Comfortable bed and good shower.
We had a drink in the Bistro on arrival and ate there later. Good service, good quality and good value.
Breakfast was also fine with a good range of items served in the very attractive dining room.
The Covid arrangements are outstanding, instructions to guests are extremely clear and everything appears to be 100% adhered to by the hotel, yet its not noticeably distracting as in some other places.
We thoroughly enjoyed our brief stay and hope to be back. Highly recommended.

I wanted to share my experiences of this hotel.

Checked in around 2pm on the first weekend the hotel was open post covid lockdown.
Reception staff were friendly and gave us an information leaflet to give guidance on how things may be different in the hotel as they work to new guidelines.

Our room was very spacious and had a double & single bed in the room.
We had a few issues with our first room which I will put down to reopening teething problems but the manager Scott was quick to sort and also move us to an alternative room.
Our new room 212 had a great built in bunk which meant the room would be ideal for any family wanting to stay.
I found the facilities in the hotel such as bar, ice machine, vending machines, WiFi, electrical sockets all to be excellent. There is also an on-site beauty and hair salon which were closed during this visit.

Breakfast was delicious on both mornings and served by friendly staff.

We dined for dinner on our second night and my goodness the food was amazing. I had “The Brier” as a starter and “The hen & penne” as my main. Our server was very attentive.

I have to pay tribute to the management and staff of this hotel as they are more than equipped with things post covid. Staff wore PPE, there was enough sanitiser throughout the hotel public areas to sink a ship, walkways had clear directions marked out to help guests to socially distance from each other.
I would definitely recommend this hotel as being great value for money with great food. I had such an enjoyable stay.

Just returned from a very reasonable priced 2 nights stay at the Lodge Hotel Coleraine.
Everyone of the staff were absolutely fantastic.
The hotel had only just reopened and the precautions took were very good with hand sanitizer all over and all staff wearing face shields.

All the food we received was first class and the waitress was brilliant nothing was too much trouble.

Will definitely recommend and hope to visit again very soon #staycation

Just back from an overnight stay with my family at this hotel. From the very start the reception staff were friendly, informative and made booking in easy and sress free. The room was spotless and well laid out with everything you need, hair dryer, iron and ironing board and kettle. The bathroom was spacious and spotless. After a bit of a walk around Coleraine town centre ( we went to the giant's causeway earlier), we decided to eat in the bistro at the hotel, initially booked for 8.00,but were seated about 7.30 as our table became free earlier. The food was excellent,I had the 10z steak,my wife had "hen and penne" and my son had duck, all good value and delicious. We then had a few drinks at the bar, they run a tight ship at the bar, drinks came very quickly and the staff were chatty, happy and very efficient and the cocktails were fantastic!! I must mention also that all covid guidlines are being followed to the letter, even to the point of providing anti bac wipes on the tables. The breakfast was perfect, with a good selection of cereals, juice and hot drinks and a hot breakfast option. So if you're looking for a base to explore the North coast, this place is perfect,in two days we done the causeway, dunluce Castle and balintoy Harbour!! I can't fault this hotel, everything from booking

Certainly not a luxury hotel but then it doesn’t advertise itself as such. Stayed in a family bunk room with our kids. Beware these rooms can be noisy as above the bar area. Bring ear plugs! Breakfast was nice and the waitress Caroline couldn’t have been more helpful as my husband is gluten free. We also ate lunch there the day prior and the buffet lunch food was very well priced with lots of coeliac options. A basic but fair choice for a short stay on North Coast.

Thank you for your lovely review regarding your stay with us. I noticed you stayed in the main hotel which indeed can be a bit noisy at weekends with entertainment from different areas. However if you decide to visit again, please ask for one of our rooms in the other building as these would be much quieter. In general I am glad you enjoyed your visit, our food and service and hopefully we will see you soon.

Arrived to be seated for dining immediately, we ordered a drink, as we sat down we noticed the table was dirty from previous guests, wet patch in the middle, wet glass marks and salt all over it. When our drinks arrived I asked for the table to be cleaned. 15 mins later no sign. A waitress then came for our food order and was asked to clean the table she did so with a dry piece of blue roll. No soapy water no sanitizer which during a pandemic is what was required.
Can’t fault the food absolutely delicious and plenty of it. Starters are lovely and almost a meal on their own. Mains. Steak was very tender and cooked to perfection. Chicken was extremely tender and cooked well. Sides all lovely. Veg was a bit bland but nothing a good sprinkling of salt wouldn’t help. Food I would definitely go back for just let down by the cleanliness.

Just returned from.a business trip to Coleraine and cannot fault this hotel in any way. The warmest of welcome from the reception team, a large, clean, modern and comfortable room, excellent range of food in the restaurant which was very good value, great local dishes and a fine pint of Guinness. Breakfast was great too with a fantastic friendly service. I’ll definitely be returning.

This is a very welcoming hotel and obviously popular. It is situated on the ring road, within easy travelling distance of the tourist centres of the North Coast, and easy walking distance to the town centre.
Our room was large, clean and comfortable ,with ample overhead lighting. The bathroom sported both bath and shower. The room also had a safe, ironing board and hospitality tray.
The bistro was excellent with a very wide range of dishes and a very good value “early bird” section. The food came quickly and was delicious. Staff were at all times courteous and helpful.

Stopped here having known nothing about the place as the company booked it for me, was pleasantly surprised when I walked in at the welcoming warm and friendly reception area, went to my room and was amazed that I was stopping in a hotel that had put enough lights in the bedroom so you could not only see but could actually work if you wanted to, my wife would have been impressed as she would have been able to put make up on easily and even do her hair as not only was it light there was a socket for her hair straighteners by the mirror, pity she was at home a few hundred miles away.
A comfortable bed, nice quiet room then a breakfast that cooked to perfection. The only problem with the breakfast was I was so full I didn't feel like going to work after it, but as its self service I suppose I can't blame the hotel for me wanting to try everything.
If you dont want to eat at the hotel of an evening there are numerous places close at hand varying from Macdonald's to fine dining so everyone should find something they like.
