A romantic getaway in a beautiful and secluded part of the world. A great spot if you want to get away from noisy and busy city life. The cottage was beautifully kept and had a very homely and cosy vibe to it. Heather was so helpful and incredibly warm. Looking forward to getting back :)

We have just returned home from 5 days at Coast & Country House & Cottages and we had a lovely time. Heather the host met us upon arrival and she was so friendly and welcoming. She gave us a quick run-down of the facilities etc and left us her number should we need to contact her during our stay. The house was spotlessly clean and well kept. It was a home from home with all mod cons, and even an Aga which would be so welcoming in the winter time. The bedrooms were spacious and the beds comfortable. The kitchen was well equipped and the wifi signal was great (imperative when you are travelling with kids and their devices!). The bathroom was clean with a powerful shower and plenty of clean towels. There was a washing machine and tumble drier, and a clothes line outside for the dry days which I found so useful - saved me bringing a bag full of dirty washing home! Oh and much to my daughter’s delight there is a bookcase full of all types of books and a few board games which we enjoyed in the evenings after a busy day. The house is situated on private ground off the road, up a private lane. It is set in woodlands with beautiful gardens and wild flowers. The children loved exploring, particularly the tree house and tennis courts. We took the dogs, and they were made to feel as welcome as we were. There is a £10 per dog per night charge and there is a dog run out the back if needed. Overall we really enjoyed our time at Coast and Country and would love to return! We would recommend it to anyone looking for a private retreat from busy life, and a perfect base to explore the north coast and beyond!

We stayed here for a few nights on our family holiday. The cottage was so cozy and had everything we needed (even a slide and a playhouse for the children). The gardens are beautiful and very peaceful for a walk. My son enjoyed seeing the donkey on the grounds. Many thanks Heather for looking after us.

We rented both cottages for a stay over New Year. 3 families, 6 adults, 5 children all under the age of 7 and Romeo the dog. The accommodation and rural setting was fantastic, it was very close to a lot of the local attractions yet out of the hustle and bustle of the local villages/towns which provided us with complete privacy. The split accommodation worked really well, 2 kitchens, large living room and plenty of decent sized bedrooms. Romeo the dog had a large heated entrance hallway just to himself. Having the split cottages also meant you didn’t always have to be on top of each other. Kids with games in 1 room, adults with a bottle of wine in the other! We also brought along our bikes and took a trip to Roe Valley Country Park on one of the days. There was a large garage/workshop where the bikes were all easily stored. I can’t fault the location and Heather, our hostess was extremely friendly and helpful. We’ll definitely think of returning again in the future. Henry

Thank you for renting our cottages , I am pleased it worked well for your big group of friends. It is great part of the world to go for a cycle. You managed to fit a lot of activities into your 3 days. Lunch at the Shack on the beach at Portstewart was a big success and you are always guaranteed a good coffee from AL's at his gorgeous coffee house inside the Lion's Gate entrance at Downhill Castle following a brisk walk at Mussenden Temple just 7 minute drive from our cottages. I hope we can welcome you back soon.

These quite beautiful cottages are superbly decorated and furnished. A real home from home. Ideally situated for visits to Londonderry, Game of Thrones sites and easy access into Belfast and the stunning beaches of Port Stewart and Pirtrush. Did I mention the golf!!? Royal Portrush is a joy but any of the golf clubs in the area make it a real privilege to play golf in Northern Ireland.

Thank you for reviewing our cottages .. There are 10 fantastic golf courses within a few miles of the cottages .. golf is played 12 months of the year on the north Coast & as you say it is a privilege to play golf in Ireland .. the North Coast has 2 champion courses .. I am a member of Portstewart and my husband is a member of Royal Portrush .. a lot of money has been spent on these courses & they are wonderful to play .. world class courses. Hopefully you will come back to Northern Ireland & play a few rounds of golf .. Heather Burns
