Angela is a saint. She accommodated all of our needs to the highest quality. We were given tea and scones upon arrival; they were delicious! The fire was lovely and the beds were so comfortable - it was like sleeping on a cloud. Angela recommended places to visit and tips to avoid queues to make our trip more enjoyable. The house is beautiful and there are lots of lovely paintings. There are plenty of books to read. The breakfast was delicious. The homemade jams, bread, stewed rhubarb and granola are beyond perfection. Also, I recommend the whisky cream porridge. Thank you Angela and Peter; you have exceeded our expectations and you are absolutely amazing. I definitely recommend Dromore House and I would not hesitate to visit it again.
Angela and Peter are fabulous hosts. They welcome you into the heart of their beautiful home with tea and scones, great conversation and genuine warmth. The log fires are wonderful. The decor tasteful and elegant. The rooms and facilities are clean and the baths are great. We had a rain shower over the bath with plenty of hot water. I slept like a corpse on one of the most comfortable beds I've ever slept in and those pillows were lucky not to be kidnapped. Breakfast was whiskey porridge, soda bread and an Ulster fry fit to clog any arteries. I'm still savouring the black pudding, perfect poached eggs and home made potato bread. My only regret is we couldn't stay longer. This is one of Ulster's hidden gems. Book early to avoid disappointment as this B&B will be packed for…
We really enjoyed staying with Angela and Peter in their beautiful, renovated old house. We felt at home from the minute we arrived and were warmly welcomed by them both. The rooms are very comfortable and restful, with plenty of books to browse through. The breakfast is superb, and the large gardens are well worth a wander. Would definitely recommend, we're looking forward to a return visit!
Dromore House is a beautiful, relaxing, homely country house with lots of character set in lovely gardens in a very tranquil area. The hosts are very friendly and welcoming. We were greeted by Angela and her husband as though we were friends and shown into a sitting room with a roaring log fire & treated to tea, freshly made scones & jam. The room was very tastefully decorated in classic relaxing country house style. It was impeccably clean and had lots of original features. The bed was huge & very comfortable. Breakfast was absolutely wonderful. Everything was cooked to perfection and presented beautifully with edible flowers from her garden. There was home made bread, fruit compotes & elderflower syrup made from her own produce, her own pressed apple juice, homemade granola…
Dromore House is one of the nicest places that I've had the pleasure of staying in. Angela is a wonderful host, providing us with tea and scones on arrival and ringing around her recommended restaurants to get us a dinner reservation. Our room was beautifully decorated, comfortable and had everything you'd need (hairdryer, kettle, etc). The breakfast was probably the best I've had - home made granola, home made bread and a huge Ulster fry with all the trimmings, highly recommend! The house is about a 20/25 minute drive from the Giant's Causeway and there's lots of nice seaside villages nearby. Overall, excellent value and couldn't recommend more highly!
