staying at Dromore House is like staying with and old friend you haven’t seen in awhile. We by chance stumbled upon Dromore House when booking accomadation for Northern Ireland and we were blown away. The location is 5/5 The accomadation is 5/5 The breakfast is 5/5 Most importantly the host Angela is 10/5. Having arrived with no itinerary Angela was able to suggest as much as you could for 2 days. Our only disappointment was we did not stay longer and even now I wish I was waking up in Dromore House. Thank you Angela!
Dromore House, Coleraine Northern Ireland We stayed here for two nights in late August and had a wonderful time. This is a Country House built in 1826 with lots of space and light, very well appointed, yet maintaining its Georgian heritage. It comes with a beautiful garden set in three acres of woodland, with great views across the valley beyond. The welcome in the drawing room in front of a real fire was a great start, and we loved the perfectly cooked breakfasts - healthy or old school full Irish - which were a highlight, served in a really warm and lovely dining room. We were based at Dromore House to walk the 8km cliff top hike from the Giant’s Causeway to the ruins of Drumseverick Castle (with a bus service back to the start point), which was truly world class, with…
A truly beautiful experience made possible by the fabulous proprietor, Angela. Nothing was too much trouble, endlessly helpful and a terrific cook to boot! Room was super clean and spacious and bed comfortable. Highly recommended.
If you want to treat yourself or someone you love...book this timeless tasteful country house that oozes character. Its only surpassed by the genuine friendliness from your host Angela. You are greeted with a warm smile followed by proper tea & scones. En-suite Room was simply elegant and breakfast in drawing room...offered all homemade apple juice, fresh fruit & soda bread and that's before your top notch breakfast. Seriously their coffee hits the spot! Thank you for a glorious memorable stay...will recommended... as I said...if Carlsberg did B+Bs..this would be it.
This summer my family and I we had 15 days trip along northern Ireland coasts, we stopped in 6 different accomodations, and Dromore House was by far the best. 1) the house is fantastic, old fashioned, well mantained, charming atmosphere (and super-efficient bathroom!) 2) Angela takes care of everhyting you might need, prepares an outstanding fresh breakfast and is a pleasure to speak with her. 3) Location is 10 minutes from Port Stewart and the Causeway's costal rod -» comfortable to any wonderful tour; 5 minutes from Coleraine -» comfortable to any need you can have It was a surprisingly involving experience to stay there. Thanks Angela!
