Set against the backdrop of the Giant’s Causeway, Royal Portrush and Game of Thrones filming locations in Northern Ireland, The Bushmills Inn is the perfect retreat for those who crave the unconventional, yet still expect exceptional service. Originally a Coaching Inn in the 1600s, this 4 star boutique Hotel is steeped in Irish history with a myriad of places to hide from the world. There are all day dining options available in the AA Rosette restaurant which include a day menu, afternoon tea, dinner menu and bar bites, as well as a traditional gas bar (still lit by gaslight). Step back to a time steeped in charm. From inglenook turf fires to hayloft snugs, there’s something to find behind every door. The welcome is warm and the fire always lit.

Fantastic place to stay in Portrush area! Service and Staff is second to none. Bartender told stories and made us feel very welcome. Our room was spacious with two bathrooms and all of the amenities we could wish for!

This hotel has the fashion of an old style inn. It’s all very quaint, very Irish, and relaxing. The staff are attentive, friendly, and nothing seems to be too much trouble. The service in the bar and restaurant was fast and courteous. We ate in the hotel two nights and the old was excellent. The breakfast was equally good. We used this as a base for sight seeing on the north Antrim coast and it is very well placed for that and the drive up from Belfast airport was scenic and easy too.

Had a great midweek lunch here, we had traveled down to Portballintrae and Bushmills for the day and popped into The Bushmills Inn for lunch. Hadn’t been before and the staff greeted us at reception luckily a table was available immediately, it was in a booth with good social distance. We had the Beer Battered Haddock, Seafood Pie and Cullen Skink all our mains were delicious but I would especially recommend the Cullen Skink. All in all lovely atmosphere staff were friendly and Covid safety was followed throughout the restaurant, will definitely be back again in the future 😃

A Friday evening bar meal proved to be such a very disappointing experience. Served in a section off the bar that I can only describe as tired and shabby, not a morsel of ambience or atmosphere. My order of fish and chips was tasty but expensive, with the grand amount of 12 chips on the plate. My polite enquiry to the waiter was met with 'well that's the portion size'. Lord in heavens above, it's Ireland!, potatoes are our thing, the cheapest product on the plate! Our bill was then calculated incorrectly with the waiter leaving off £11.35 worth of drinks. After drawing this to his attention, the response was 'sorry', .... hold on 'sorry?!' ... how about thank you for your honesty madame! I should have just bolted and said nothing! Staff attitude is everything and this experience left me with a sour taste in mouth mixed in with 12 chips. The local Bushmills chippies serve much better value for money and you get some local craic!. Definitely would not be back.
