We recently stayed at the Kapalua Bay Villas from January 9-15. My review is more specifically on the condo we stayed in as we really did not have any dealings with reception or staff. We booked our villa through Aloha Vacations and we given a code to directly access the condo

We enjoyed our stay here. Our gold oceanfront one bedroom unit was clean, modern, and very nicely furnished. The view from our place was spectacular. We would love to revisit. The general store on the resort is convenient, but very pricey. We recommend grocery shopping in town

We stayed at a gold level, ocean view villa in December 2018. Upon arrival, the condo stank of cooking. We had to go buy lysol and cleaning products and it took three days to get rid of the odor. The shower wall had a large chunk of hair on it, and there was a bad

We stayed in a gold 1 bedroom oceanfront villa (part of the Bay Villas) with our 2 boys over Xmas. The condo was spacious, we had a washer/dryer, the kitchen stocked with utensils and appliances, and the view was beautiful. Be aware that “oceanfront” is different than

Is there a gym near by? And do you know the cost?
No gym in the actual Villa area just a spa at Montage. Might be a gym there but no idea of the cost.

Different units have different layouts. The one we were in - an upper 2 story villa- had the master bedroom up a full flight of stairs. You would have to know the specific unit you would be renting. As others have indicated the lower units have stairs you must go down to get to their entrance.

How many pools are there? Does one have access to the Ritz Carlton Pools?
There were three "shared access" pools in the Kapalua Villas where we stayed. In order to use the Ritz-Carlton Pools (or the Montage Pools) we had to purchase a day pass. During the Kapalua Wine and Food Festival the day pass was complimentary at the Montage with a VIP KWFF pass, but we stayed an extra day and had to pay for the last day's access.

How far is the resort from the Westin?
We rode bikes from the Westin to Kapalua — it was a nice ride on mostly quiet streets. Took less than 30 minutes.

I would like to know how far the beach is?
It is right behind the condos. But it is still a walk. You have to go down two flights of steps. Also depends on which condo you are in. We were in building 19 so we had to walk through the parking lot past two other condos then down the steps. Not a bad walk at all! We enjoyed walking about half a mile down to Kapalua bay beach best. Calmer water. Oneloa was a lot of coral reef so couldn’t walk out into water easily. But it is a peaceful beach.
