My husband and I recently spent 3 nights at Hotel Fortuna and had an amazing experience. We were undecided between staying in Hvar Town or Milna, and we are SO glad we chose to stay here! This location cannot be beat - walk out the front door of the hotel and you are on Milna beach. The beach is very nice, with chairs and umbrellas available for rent and mostly families and couples (a much quieter and more relaxing vibe than other beaches on the island). It was very easy to get to Hvar, too - it's only a 10 minute drive and the hotel offers a taxi service for half the price of regular taxis. The staff at the hotel were all so welcoming and went out of their way to make sure we had a wonderful stay. We can't wait to return to Milna.

We had a fantastic few days at Hotel Fortuna. The family can't help enough. We stayed in Room 101 - a family suite overlooking the sea and the location was great. The furnishings are very simple but it has everything you need. There is a small beach with lovely water and sun loungers that you can hire just at the front of the hotel. You can also hire SUPs and Kayaks from the same place. There are lovely restaurants just outside the door and another good one on the beach around the corner after the campsite but the hotel's own restaurant was great too - we had a fantastic meal there and lovely drinks every night right next to the beach. What makes this hotel aside from the location is the service. The family couldn't do enough to help with any aspect of your stay. The hotel offers free transport to and from the harbour and then they will take you anywhere you want to go cheaper than the cost of a normal taxi - it really was fantastic. We went to Hvar town and to Stari grad using their taxi service. Thank you so much all of you for a lovely few days. We were made to feel very welcome.

Had a wonderful stay at Hotel Fortuna for 3 days. All the family (George, Magdelena, Josephine and Marino) were so friendly and helpful. Hotel is just outside Hvar (10 to 15 mins by car) in a quaint village with several nice restaurants but tbh, the hotel restaurant has superb food at great value. The grilled fish and Feta salad are wonderful. They offer a taxi service at a fraction of the normal Uber price. Very easy to get into Hvar and get picked up after a night out. Josephine also got a great deal for a must do Blue Cave tour. Cheaper than online and you get picked up at a jetty right next to the hotel.

We stayed for 6 nights in this family run hotel. The hotel and the place/ beach is perfect for people with kids and the ones who want to stay away from the crowds. Everyone at the hotel was extremely nice and welcoming, they gave us all possible tips for exploring the island. They really make you feel like part of their family. Room is very clean, and I would advise to opt for the one with sea view, you won't regret it. There are plenty of choices for breakfast, usually it's a buffet but due to corona situation you can simple order what you want and everything will be brought to your table.
In Milna there are plenty of really good restaurants, including the one from the hotel, so you can enjoy good quality food without going to Hvar.
I would definitely recommend the stay at Fortuna and hope to come back one day.

The hotel is situated right on the beach. Excellent service, very good restaurant. The hotel is located about 5-7 min drive from a town of Hvar.
Please note: the beach is rocky, so either bring in your beach shoes, or you can buy them right there. There are few restaurants and hotels in the area.

In Hvar we prefer to stay in a small village - Milna, 2 km away from the center of Hvar. But it is a paradise place. We stayed on a small beach, in a beach hotel (except that the beach is made of stones). The hotel has a restaurant inside or outside (a terrace, right on the beach). Wonderful food. There are other restaurants and guest houses, as well as apartments for rent on this beach. We rent sun loungers. It's a super charming place. This one I recommend for couples or couples with children. It has an excellent breakfast. Large, clean room, we chose one with a balcony facing the sea. highly recommend

Just returned from a 4 night stay at Hotel Fortuna and what a wonderful time we had! The hotel is situated in the beautiful village of Milna and is right on the beach. It is spotless, the beds are comfy and the breakfast is excellent! They also run a taxi service in and out of Hvar, which is so cheap and they are very reliable and willing to do this. Josephine, George and all of the staff cannot do enough for you! They were so friendly and welcoming and were also amazing with our children. We had such a lovely time that I have already spoken to Josephine to book for a week next year! We cannot thank them enough for such a wonderful holiday.

My husband and I stayed at Hotel Fortuna for 3 nights and we were blown away with our stay. The hotel is on a beautiful beach in a quiet part of town. The staff went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. They provide a shuttle service to and from The Old Town, whenever you need it which made staying further from the Town (10 minute driver) less of a concern. The restaurant on-site is delicious and right on the beach. If swimming in the sea is not what you want to do, they have a great secluded pool to lounge at. Everything was so clean and everyone was very kind. Thank you to the entire Tudor family, we hope to be back soon!!

The perfect place if you want to be close to Hvar but away from all the hustle and bustle of the main town. Josipa, Marino and the Tudor family went out of their way to make sure we made the most of our stay - from half price shuttles to and from town, to recommending and booking excursions. They couldn’t have been more friendly and accommodating. The views from the ocean-side rooms are not to be missed. Great rooms and delicious breakfast and coffee in the morning. Would stay here again in a heartbeat.

We spent a fantastic 5 nights in this small family run hotel. The service was absolutely first class from the staff and chef to the management. They have clearly perfected the art of running a first class hotel. The food was also of a really high standard and compared favourably to some of the more expensive places we tried. It’s an ideal location if you want to pop into Havr (10mins) and experience the nightlife and hustle and bustle but want to come back to pure Tranquility then this Hotel Is definitely a must.
We will definitely be returning but are thankful that our stay at Hotel Fortuna really made our 30th Wedding Anniversary celebrations complete.

Can you swim nude at the hotel beach?
Answer from Beatriz G
Hvar, Croatia3 contributions
Beach belongs to the village, so it is not a hotel property, but actually this beach is not suitable for nudistic swimears, mainly because it is more like a family beach (with children). But in distance of less than 1km you can find a nudistic beach!

Nope this is for couples and families, low key getaway. If you want party, stay in Hvar. No clubs in Milna.
