My husband and I stayed for one night at Abode Woden as we had an event in the area. We were woken at 4am from the most appalling loud sound that we worked out later were the plumbing pipes. The shrieking occurred intermittently throughout the morning. I didn’t bother to complain as this is clearly a building structural issue. We were in room 317. Make sure you ask about this problem when you book. Otherwise everything clean and comfortable.

Clean rooms. Excellent value. Staff very helpful - printed a document for us when we needed it and helped us with an extra chair so we could eat comfortably at a table in the room. Parks nearby for walking and exercise. Parking across the road which is free on weekends.

Why do hoteliers think that only one guest wants a reading light? Annoyingly my husband has a reading lamp on his side of the bed and I do not. We got a $10 Pantry Voucher on check in. Not for each day but just for the booking. The Pantry is replenished at the end of each month. We booked in on the 28th of May so guess how much was left to choose from? Right, precious little. Bad.

Recently stayed here for 2 nights as a weekend to explore with the kids. Upon arriving to the hotel we noticed ther was an event in the large public parking directly across from the hotel. This was thw closest parking to the hotel as the hotel does not have parking. Well unfortunately we could not park there as it was for the car event only. Upon check in the reception staff were not welcoming, I mentioned to them that I was unaware of the event in the parking lot and the gentleman at reception said someone should have called you to let you know. Mind you all the people from this car event was staying at the hotel as well. After this conversation he gave me the key to room. No directions to the room nothing. After arriving to room we wanted to access the free wifi and didn't know how so my husband went to reception. Well the guy at reception was rude and said you should look at the back of the card the instructions are there. Anyway beside the reception staff the room was as expected and was great for our needs. I would recommend this hotel as its close to restaurants and shopping centre but make sure you check there isn't an event on as parking will become an issue as the hotel doesn't have parking. Plus most parking near by you have to pay on weekdays.

We booked abode woden for our hotel stay for a Canberra getaway. We were initially met with a car rally festival on in the adjoining parking lot that was there all weekend. We were not informed of this prior to our stay, if we had known we wouldn't of stayed here. The front staff were not very helpful or happy either. Parking was nil to very hard as this hotel does not have its own dedicated parking spots. Once we found the room we had everyrhing we needed. Shower needed a shower screen door. Room was clean otherwise. The hotel is very close (4 minute) walk to westfield woden for anything you might need. This hotel needs its own parking space for its customers and I wouldve scored higher. Overall not a bad experience
