We stayed here for four nights this week. We arrived in the dark and pouring rain and the front desk staff immediately made us feel at home. The standard room is a decent size although it does overlook the Rhine River. We ate dinner twice in the hotel restaurant and it was very good. The staff always were attentive and helpful. I would definitely stay here again.
Let me start by saying that I made my booking through Booking.com. My original review can be found there, along with the childish, unprofessional response from the hotel. What the young “gentleman” who posted their response failed to realize that attacking a guest for giving you feedback, backfires. Accepting feedback and deciding to act on that feedback or not is a sign of a good business owner and of maturity. Now for the hotel. The location is good for someone wishing to explore the region. The hotel is clean, and the rooms comfortable. The attached restaurant is typical Italian, with good pizza. The pasta was a bit undercooked, but eatable. It seems to be one of the few restaurants that do accept credit cards. A big plus in the town. If you get a river view room, the view is wonderful. The front desk staff can be less than knowledgeable and borderline allusive. The young man who seems to run the place is the most helpful, but is most likely the one who cannot accept feedback and lashes out irrationally. (Let’s see how he handles this review) Would I return, I’m sure to the delight of the hotel, no. Would I recommend it? That would also be a no, simply because of the unprofessionalism of those who have yet to learn to accept feedback in a professional manner. There are other hotels in the area. Keep looking. …
This time we stayed 5 nights at Rheinhotel Lilie, our 3rd visit to this 2 star hotel and yet again, it was excellent. We reserved a river view room with a large balcony on the 3rd floor. The room was comfy, spotless with the use of fridge and a free safe deposit box. The view from the balcony over the Rhein river was great with various river cruisers/work boats passing by. Breakfast was the usual continental style buffet which was very nice, only issue was the streaky bacon provided was not to our liking so asked for it to be cooked crispy, this was done for us daily with no problem from the staff. We ate at the hotel restaurant twice and we both enjoyed our meals and would recommend the restaurant to all. All staff were very nice and helpful. New for Boppard Borough, if you pay the 1.50 daily city visitors tax each, you are given a "Guestcard" which gives you free train & bus travel within the it's Borough (map provided), we used the card to travel by train to Koblenz, Oberwesel & Cochem. We stayed here as part of our 2 week self-drive trip, parking at the hotel can cost upto 4 euros a day parking opposite the hotel or use the free parking areas 10 minute walk (very safe). Yet again if ever back in Boppard we would stay here again.…
Only deducting a star due to the smell of cigarette smoke wafting into the room any time we opened the window. Guests are able to smoke on their balconies, so when you want some fresh air it comes with a dose of second hand smoke.
We stayed here last weekend for two nights and absolutely loved it! We booked a river view room and it was well worth the extra cost, the view was awesome! The staff were really friendly, the rooms were really clean and spacious and the breakfast was good. There is no designated parking at the hotel and parking is out under the trees on the riverfront path, which was ok, but really busy and we had to park quite a way from the hotel, but this wasn’t too much trouble. Parking costs €4 per day. All in all we were really pleased we stayed here. A great choice!
A nice hotel with a friendly and helpful staff. Our room was comfortable for two people and had a patio with a great view of the activity on the Rhine. The breakfast was very good and would rate in the top three during our two weeks in Germany. Free parking within a short pleasant walk from the hotel.
We stay 2 nights in Hotel Rheinhotel Lilie from 14. - 16.06.2019 a) Hotel staff: very good - very friendly & helpful, b) Location: very good (waterside promenade) , c) Cleanliness: very good, d) Hotel facilities: good, e) Breakfast: ok. f) Price-performance ratio: very good
We switched to this hotel after one night at the Garner Gunti. While the rooms are small, they’re all updated and modern with nice decor and bathrooms. The location and balcony views are great, there is a very cheap mini-bar (€1.90 for a beer), and there is a nice little restaurant downstairs. Andre at the front desk was very helpful and even booked us an additional night in the same room/same price when we decided to extend our trip. And... it’s really cheap!
We were able to book this hotel last minute and for that reason we did not receive a river view, but that's ok. The room was very nice and clean and the mini bar was more reasonable than any we had seen whilst in Germany. We did have the breakfast for an added 8 Euros each and it was a decent breakfast with a coffee machine. The location by the river allowed us to go on a morning run right along the riverside which was nice. The only thing that was slightly annoying and was not the hotels fault, was the near by churches ding dong bells every half hour.
We stayed there one night on our trip around the Mosel valley. I wish we had stayed longer. They place is very well situated, just make sure to take the room with the river view. The staff was super helpful and nice, breakfast was completed and delicious, room was spacious and clean. However, I didn't like the bed - the mattress was not very comfortable. Also, wi-fi didn't work well. Aside of that, I would warmly recommend this hotel for longer stay.
