Nice accomodation. Quite luxury. Lots to see in the surrounding area, especially the villages/city Argelѐs sur Mer, Collioure, Port Vendres, Perpignan. Service is very nice and the people very kind. The beds were unfortunately very hard.

Beautiful location under the Pyrenees mountains. Site is very clean and tidy. Restaurant food and staff excellent. Facilities were very good, pool excellent. Couldn't have wished to stay in a better place, just a short distance from the beach, even a free train there if you wish.

The chalet had everything needed but some kind of sofa or casual seating would have been appreciated, even in the cheaper accommodation. Lovely pool area, really comfy sun chairs. Reception staff were very pleasant and all languages were covered. I imagine the site would be rather uncomfortably crowded in high season in the communal areas but ideal for a low season break.

The site is nicely build. The road between the cottages lies lower then the cottages themselves, this makes for a nice look. Unfortunately it also means that for some cottages (like ours) you have to make a 50cm step up, no issue for us, but maybe not for everyone. The cottages are clean and nothing is broken, they are somewhat older. Regular visitors told us that the campsite yearly improves (this year the footballfield was made better for example). This is a good thing, there is investment in quality. There is a snackbar onsite that serves roasted chicken, french fries, nuggets and.... pizza.. The pizza deserves a mention. Apparently the capacity to make pizza”s is very low, they can only make a few every half hour. Now that is a shame but what I really found to be negative and not customer friendly is that they do not tell you this... They let you choose your pizza, order you pizza, tell you the price, and then, when all that is finished, they ask you if you want it 21:40 or 22:00 (mind you, it was 19:00 then). This did not only happen to us but as far as I have seen to everyone.. Free tip: place a sign, costs nothing and helps a lot. The entertainment is very good. Instead of the animation team putting on some shows (which already normally is entertaining) they hire in performers. Quality is above par. Only one thing wrong.. every show is 100% in French, there is not even an attempt to welcome not French speaking people. Not so mich of an issue but it would be a good idea to let people know this upfront... Now 20% of the people leave after 15 minutes. The way that is dealt with non French deserves a special mention: the reception speaks English and also other languages which is very nice. They also invite you to a welcome drink for the new campers where the campsite and everything around it is explained to the new arrivals. A very nice gesture, free drink and all. Unfortunately the total presentation is in French (took an hour), there was a (litterally) 2 minute talk in dutch by one of the entertainers who basicly said the info was not that important and that info was on the boards. The French presenter of the hour was so nice as to make some jokes about the dutch language (that much French I understood). A bit of info in English would have been nice (or, again, tell upfront that its only in French). What makes this a bit hard to swallow is that there are enough English/Dutch speakers on staff. So its not that the possibility to do it in another language is not there, they just choose not to do it. This copies to the sports instructors for the kids. Every sport and contest is explained in French, no attempt is.made at another language or at "hands and feet". The instructors our kids played with did speak English, we know this because we asked them to translate and they did. Only when we asked though, a bit of commumication 5 minutes later was 100% French again untill we asked for a translation, which came, again. And that 5 times in a row. Not a matter of not beiing able, a matter of not wanting. In summary: a good campsite, but only when you speak (a bit of) French. The site has obviously choosen to only cater towards the French speaking part of the world. One tip: make the reception and sales process French only to, that avoids false expectations.

Response from Diana C, Responsable Qualité at Camping Le Bois Fleuri
Responded 7 Aug 2018
Dear Marc, I am happy that you have noticed all our efforts to keep improving our services, for example every season we invent new activities and we create new sports areas. We have only one goal, to satisfy our guests. Calogero is in charge of our pizzeria and he is an expert in the art of making good pizzas, we are very proud to have him with us. Next time, we recommend you to order directly with him from 4pm or directly through the app to avoid the crowd of dinner time. Our reception and entertainment teams, as you have mentioned it, speak different languages and it is true that we privilege to speak in the languages which are the most spoken. Nevertheless, most of our staff speak Dutch so It is sad that you did not speak to them in your own language. And why not trying to exchange a couple of words with them in French to immerse yourself in our culture ? Our welcome meeting is in French / English to keep it short. I regret to read that you have been feeling unconsidered, because we are willing you to be comfortable with our staff and other guests. All our staff hope you have spent great holiday in our beautiful region. Diana Charbonnier Quality Manager Camping Sunêlia Le Bois Fleuri ***** 04 68 81 70 00

Camping site with chalets, which are broadly spread and a couple of big swimming pools. Pools are great for smaller and larger kids to play or sunbathe. Big plus is no sun beds, only comfy chairs meaning even at 10-11 still places available. Bois Fleuri has sufficient amenities, and the beach is 15 min by car. But big pool area means kids can go ahead, while parents relax ... As for almost all campings, gsm cell reception is almost non existent, and WiFi can be flacky when many try to FaceTime Skype home, but its holiday. So offline not that bad ...
