We initially had booked at its neighbor and sister company The Miramare Resort. But due to missing basic facilities and having a very busy main road right beside the apartment the company offered us an apartment in the continental Resort. It is as bad as the Miramare and would stay away from the place all together. Between unfriendly staff who would argue with you about the accommodation, and a badly maintained apartment I will not come back again. Not an apology not a we are sorry your not happy and how can we make your stay a pleasant one. Only " there's nothing wrong with our apartments". Customer service goes a long way.

Really enjoyed staying in the apartments there. It was great size for a very good price. Everything is just right there. Beach was beauteous. It wasn't busy and very calm, relaxing. My little boy had great time there. Big Thank you to Alessandra for outstanding service. We appreciate you have waited for us to arrive. Big thank you to the Pool Rescue Guard (sorry, don't know your name) for amazing job looking after our little boy.

I stayed in the Continental Resort as a single traveler for work in Aug 2016, Oct 2016, and Feb 2017. Each stay was nice. No complaints. The rooms are spacious, of course it was only me, but there would have been plenty of room for a couple and even a small child. Breakfast was included as well as free wifi. The staff was very nice. The location is probably the most attractive part as it's on the beach and within walking distance to several restaurants. The area is quite busy during the summer months (including August), but not too bad. They have a very large pool too as well as a private beach area. I would recommend this hotel.

We spent one week in Tirrenia and we think that this place was a prefect choice. We booked a two room apartment with small kitchen bay witch to our surprise was fully equipped with dishes, utensils, electric stove, microwave oven and fridge. The beach was clean and peaceful. Not many tourists at the end of May. The staff (Ms. Alessandra) was very nice and helpful and waited for us till midnight on the day of check-in because of our late flight. We think Tirrenia is a great location if you want to visit Pisa, Florence, Lucca, Livorno and so on. All cities very accessible by many buses and trains. We will come back in the future.

The resort has very nice studios offering very good conditions for self catering accommodation. Continental Resort is very close to the beach of Tirrenia - only 100m away. The place offers free parking.

Me and my (now ex-)girlfriend traveled here with a big family: two of my kids and two of her kids from previous marriages, plus her younger brother and his girlfriend. We landed late at night, and only had to wait about two hours in the reception before we could access our rooms. The next morning the kids (ranging from 4 - 10 years old) wanted to try out the pool, a pool that was possible to find by following the sound of kids playing in the water, and guessing where to walk (no signs). Me and my girlfriend wanted to find a supermarket so we could get a few necessities. Her brother and his girlfriend (aged 32 and 25) agreed to stay with the kids in the pool. We all went to the reception, made sure the kids had permissions to use the pool, written consent, wristbands around their arms, all the cards they needed. Finally, after about an hour of formalities, we asked the two girls in the reception if this was it. Did they have everything they needed to use the pool now? Yes. Si, signore! Nodding heads. So, we left our kids, searching two hours to find a supermarket. We asked at the local restaurant, the local café, and the local bakery (about 1 square meter big, run by a mean hustler who will always cheat you on the change back-money), and got no help. Of course local merchants don't want tourists to find supermarkets, where the food prices are 1/3 or 1/4 of their own. The nearest supermarket we could find, were about five miles from the hotel, south, but very well hidden, looking like a private residence from the outside. There is a bigger and more visible one about seven miles to the north. Meanwhile, the four kids and their two babysitters went to the pool, with all their wristbands and their array of permissions. In the process of jumping into the giant pool, they were blocked by a guy who looked like some kind of lifeguard, Lorenzo. This man claimed they were not allowed to use the pool, unless they were wearing swimming caps, caps which he happened to sell. In fact, that was all he did: Sell swimming caps, while posing as a lifeguard, on several occasions ignoring nearly drowning kids' screams for help. The price per cap? 2 Euros. Now, we'd just arrived in Europe. The two grownups looking after the kids did not posses Euros. They had no idea where to go to exchange money. Lorenzo the hustler certainly did not help,. since he knew if they could find an ATM or an exchange-station, they could also find the small souvenir-shop in the village that sold swimming caps for 0,50 Euros. Further, the kids' non-European cell phones did not work, so they could not get in touch with us. Their only choice in the increasingly boiling hot sun, was to wait by the poolside, while watching other kids enjoy themselves and cool off in the pool. The receptionists claim there is no rule about swimming caps in the pool, and they claim to have no knowledge of Lorenzo. If he wants to charge money for swimming caps and act but not behave like a lifeguard, that's obviously his business. When he physically restrain kids from using the pool, though, with no rules or regulations to support him, I feel it might be a matter for the police. Frankly, there is no repairing this sort of damage for me. Not that anyone tried any sort of mending. Our kids were put in an uncomfortable and risky situation, to accommodate some sort of hustle. Yes, the beach at Tirrenia is nice. If you order the big bowl of seafood at the restaurant closest to the beach, you will have a reasonably good meal at an unreasonably expensive price. For the bill you pay, though, you might buy ten pizzas and five kegs of wine at "The Big Gulliver", an absolutely decent place in the village, or 50 good meals at a local non-tourist place in Pisa, which is about two hours travel away.

The apartment was large and good value for what we paid. There was x2 couples. As for cleanliness we cleaned the apartment ourselves. No offer of a cleaner and if we changed towels it was extra cost. Reception was helpful. The Beny club adjoined to hotel did the best Pizzas in town... The town of Tirrena was quiet and appeared derelict in many parts along the sea front and town. We did our shop in the large store for food and cooked ourselves. only a few places to eat really. The beach was also quite isolated in that there was not many on it. That was fine except we had no beds to lie on or parasols. At times it was hot and you needed some shade. Beware of mosquitoes .. We all got bitten numerous times, especially as it was hot and rainy at times. It was a good base for culture visits to Pisa and Lucca.. We also visited the caves of del la Vento. Which was an experience. Also the travelling up the Mountains, views of the Italian countryside. Would I go back ... No!! Although we had a good time... The swimming pool was closed!! Had we known the swimming pool was closed, we would not have gone to this Hotel... I purposely chose a hotel with a pool. It did look good!!! Ohhhh they told us you must wear a hat in pool... A tip!! Closed 30th September, 2nd tip!!! No beds on beach no parasols. Beny restaurant closed on a Tuesday?? No notice All food shops in area closed on Sunday... No one told us!!

We had a holiday apartement and stayed here for one week to use it as a base for our Toscany tour. Our room was spacious and weel equiped. The room as well as the bathroom were clean. The Resort has strait access to a sandy beach. Restaurants, supermarkets and cafes are in walking distance. Secured parking is on the resort area. The opening hours of the receptiondesk could be improved.
