Stayed for 1 night, noticed immediately how unwelcome the staff were when they heard we were English. Didn’t have any major complaints about the hotel in general, it’s pretty grotty, more like a hostel than a hotel. Paint stripping off the walls, 2 single beds pushed together to make a weird double, no proper windows...standard crappy European hotel. Anyway, back to the English thing. I left a review on the hotel on booking.com just saying the hotel was pretty grotty which is fair and I got the most horrendous response!! I’ve attached a picture of the reply...wow!! Beware if your an English family like us staying there, we felt very unsafe around such British hating staff and owners.

Totally worth it. The rooms are great and clean, you can expect what did you paid. The breakfast is mostly baked thinks, but it is great, you can eat as many would like. The staff is helpful and nice.

This is an affordable hotel very near the beach with a friendly staff. The place is a bit worn, but it's clean and spacious. The breakfast is typical Italian with a lot of sweet pastries, one type cheese and salami. You'll also find buns and yogurt. The coffee machine made ok coffee. Breakfast is included. You'll get free Wi-Fi, parking and air-condition. There are also an discount for hotel guests at Bango Maddalena beach just across the street.

Basic cheap hotel. Not very modern, smallest shower cubical, I've been in. Basic breakfasts, no lift. Rooms very dark due to mesh shutters which you can't open. Handy for Leaning Tower & centre of town. Be warned 3 stars in Italy, isn't the same as 3 stars in UK. If you want a 3 star hotel, look for a 4 star!

Massimo and Gino are the best! Massimo speaks very good English and it was also nice to hear him singing while he worked. The other employees were good too! Very pleasant and helpful. The rooms are nice. spacious, clean and well appointed. The beach across the road is superb. Recommended to all Canadians and North Americans.

I stayed at this hotel for 6nights in September. Room had plenty of space and was very clean, only downside is shower was rather small and old style but had hot water so happy. Staff were very helpful and spoke English, I forgot to buy a plug adapter before I came and and needed to charge my phone, I asked the girl on reception if they had any adapters or plugs and could borrow and she lent me hers until I could get to a shop to buy one. Breakfast was good, plenty of choice and no limit on what you can have. Location is great with buses going to Livorno and Pisa from right outside. Beach is just across the road and plenty of bars and restaurants around. Highly recommend

Disadvantages: 1. The hotel is a little bit "tired", I mean furniture, shower, windows look old. If you want some really romantic place, it could be an issue. 2. It was very hard to close the door in the shower cabin (or maybe the door was broken), it was very annoying. Advantages: 1. The best location: right across the street there were: Madalena beach (where hotel guests have discount), then aquapark and then a public beach (free of admission). All of them are very clean. Also there is a supermarket near the hotel. 2. Good breakfast (included). Typicaly you get only coffee and croissant for breakfast in Italy, but here you can eat salami, ham, cheese, a lot of different cakes, fruit juice, etc. 3. Free and safe parking in the court. 4. Panoramic elevator 5. Nice people on reception. Everyone speaks English. 6. Wifi in the room.

Ask for a room facing the south othervise the room of the north is cold and a bit smelly or the west is w/a very noisy street...The staff is a bit unfriendly and taking it too easy sometimes...better services required. Not much to see around. If you go by for one night it is acceptable. However the Pizza place a few block to the north run by an Italian and Polish couple has a wonderful cosy atmosphere plus good meals!

Hotel “Florida” in Tirrenia is situated over against of the sea and from part of its rooms has a beautiful view to the beach. The hotel is pleasant with external and internal lifts and with convenient, air-conditioned rooms whose only disadvantage is the lack of refrigerator. However this circumstance is compensated with a spacious restaurant in which the guests could make breakfast, lunch and dinner. The hotel has a broad, secured parking that is a great convenience for the drivers. All the staff is very kind and friendly, and all the time tries to be in help of the tourists. For holiday-makers it is very important that the hotel is close to the “Bagno Maddalena”, one modern beach structure that proposes all conveniences and activities for good repose. For these who have desire for interesting one-day excursions, the hotel is ideal starting point for a short trip to Livorno, Pisa and Lucca.

Firstly the Hotel is just 30 min drive from the Pisa Airport which take you to a lovely costal road. Reception is a big wide open door. check-in was quick and their keys is quite very funny weights balls. Lift was working perfectly. Rooms are quite blend very old pale colour it is what you paid you get nothing compare to a Premier Inn or a Travelodge. With 2 kids age of 8 & 12 they were fine but TV was only in Analogue old style with only Italian channel a Baby foot game in the basement for the kids ! cleanliness was great but shower was a bit scaly old days. The breakfast was include but very dull and bored same thing day 1 to 7. ( slice of HAM-CHEESE-CROISSANT-PLAN BREAD- MINI JAM PACK) old days semi automatic coffee machine. worst ever seen. This is where the hotel could improve at least fresh fruit -cereals- eggs - fresh juice !!!! The View wasn't great just the street with an Aqua park not far. with only 5min walk you would see a magnificent sandy beach and a great sunset. VERY noisy if you like music is fine with band playing at nigh but cant complain as you on holiday with few glass of nice Italian wine you will be fine. Location is very great 20 min to Livorno where the Piazza & Aquarium. Beware all the( BAGNO ) beach aren't free for a laid down or suntan very expensive for rent umbrella & chair 17 euro weekends is 22 euro. Plenty of Affordable Restaurant around I would recommend to pay a visits to Gulliver's great Italian Pizza. My daughter is still with her favourite Italian word from the waiter " Fruiti di Marre " ...lol The Sun park Aqua park do held live music with young Italian singer with exceptional voice ( Marina Justi) On a final note the Hotel is fine with lovely family staff members father, son and daughter. Rent a car is a must as Pisa ,Livorno and other lovely town is just driving distance. Driving down to the vineyard and lovely coastal form the Cecina to Tirrenia is very lovely. A visits to the Medieval Town of Sangiminano is recommended !!!
