Detailed Reviews
It’s a lovely complex. Room is average, a little tired. If thinking of staying here bring your own dishwasher liquid & laundry powder for shared laundry. Shower is terrible for short people. I expected more for the price we paid. Pool is fabulous.. there are so many rules regarding this complex.

The apartments are simple and get cleaned daily, if you have a downstairs apartment, be aware that the noise insulation with the apartment above is zero and you can hear every footstep and movement of chairs. The breakfast was ok, the restauarant for dinner is only open on Thursday to Sunday, but if there is a Golfdinner, you cannot use the restauarant. The village nearby is not very exiting.
The golfcourse is poorly maintained the fairways are a washboard cut and the hole on the green is not moved regularly and the grass was growing into the hole. The grass of the green is also not regularly cut.
The rough is something else the grass is cut on one side and not the other and a ball just in the rough is most of the time a lost ball

Apartment upstairs is nicer because it has a terrace with a view of the swimming pool and green spaces. Lots of birds that sing in the morning (bee-eater, swallow, canary, wagtail, rush rusticole, etc.). Very calm. The kitchen allows you to have breakfast there (or you can go for a coffee at the golf course). Laundry available in a small shed next to the apartments. Secure parking.
Negative point: non-blackout curtains, planes passing from Pisa airport in waves (well, it's a small airport). A little far from the beach. Pools not yet open (but it was too cold to enjoy them).

We stayed in august, planning for one week and leaving after 2 nights (impossible to sleep!)!
We were confused by the word
"resort" - A ”resort” is a place used for “relaxation” or” recreation”, attracting visitors for “holidays” or “vacations” (Wikipedia) -
in fact is a "residence" - A “residence” is an establishment where it was originally or currently being used by a host as their main place of dwelling or home. (Wikipedia):
there are six buildings with probably 200 rooms (owned by Italian) and 42 to be rented to tourists. This 42 rooms are mixed between the rooms owned by Italians. The room is cleaned when you arrive and for the rest you have to take care. You also have to have your garbage bag and to throw your garbage outside at the communal garbage bins.
There is a golf club (18 holes) with a separate swimming pool (where only the golf club members have access) and another swimming pool for the rest.
The WI-FI internet did not function.
The restaurant is good, with good service and food.

The Cosmopolitan Golf & Beach Resort is essentially a golf and country club with two tennis courts, bar and restaurant which also includes renting out apartments.
The ground floor apartment was of modern decor, very spacious, clean and comfortable with an enclosed back garden which was great for our dog. The location was near to the Olympic sized swimming pool with sun loungers reserved for the people renting apartments only.
The kitchen/dining room was well equipped with electric stove/oven, microwave oven, fridge freezer, wall mounted air conditioning units and also a reasonable equipped kitchen which included an Italian coffee percolator. A food storage cupboard, LED satellite TV and a futon sofa bed were included in the dining room.
The cable for the microwave oven mounted on the food storage cupboard was too short to reach down to the electrical socket unless you either position the oven on a chair or on the electric stove. Hence the reason why the microwave oven was not really used!
For satellite TV, BBC World for UK residents was included in the channel list but could not be obtained. Hope it can be obtained in the future since this would be much appreciated, compared to CNN!
The wardrobe storage space was excellent but a few more clothes hangers would have been useful.
The bathroom was clean and the shower was very good. The area around the sink unit could do with a larger shelf space since there was not enough space for our bathroom accessories.
Towels and linen were changed once only during the ten night stay. Not unreasonable to suggest to change towels only every three days.
WiFi was available in the apartment and most of the time the signal was fine, however, on few occasions the signal was difficult to obtain.
Since dogs are accepted in the resort, it may be useful to have a few dog litter bins around the complex particularly around the car park area near the construction site.
A dedicated private car parking area with a code access was much appreciated for security purposes.
There is a separate outbuilding for access to washing machines and tumble dryers, if required.
Hiring of bicycles were available, if required.
The Cosmo resort beach was a 10 minute drive by car and was located next to the free public beach. The free public beach provided sun loungers and umbrella for 10 euros all day and also dogs were accepted. The associated resort beach did accept dogs at the bar and terrace only so that we could have lunch there but not on the beach which was ok. All the beaches in Tirrenia are of blue flag European standard.
Overall, generally pleased with the apartment and it's surroundings.
Special thanks to Matteo and the staff at the resort for their guidance and assistance.
A return visit is assured sometime in the future

Check.im:
When we arrived to check in, there was only one employe to handle the que. But aften waiting i 25 minuts another employe decided to leave hos pc and help out.
We received the key and went to the appartment, only to find out that is was NOT cleaned..It was really dirty and multible plasticbags with garbage was luft inside the kitchen/livingroom. Also emty winebottles everywhere and dirty towels.
The appartment was not ready indtil 6.pm (check-in starts at 3.pm.)
Appartment:
The appartment was very poorly equipted.
Cleaning: We only had one change of bedlinnen and towels i 8 days, and the cleaning is awfull. Dirt in the corners and under the bed.
We had to by toiletpapir our selves because it was not enough with 1,5 role og toiletpapir, for 4 persons i 8 days.
Balkony and furniture dirty.
Simply very low standard.
Pool:
The pool is actually really nice. But some how the guests are not very welcome!
Only few deck-chairs for the resort-guests, and a lot for the golfers (even though they have a rather large pool by the club-house)
But guest can not swim as pleased because members og the golfclub is recieving swimming-leasons and we where told to leave the pool by a bit angry woman/swinteacher (Who also used the facilities with her family...)
Also every second day a young girl was using the pool to receive lessons ind Walter acrobatics. And her teacher brougt a big speaker and played musik very very loud by the pool....
Staff:
Poolstaff is arrogant and seems corrupt..They have visits all the time by friends and relatives, lifeguards is not watching the pool as a lifeguards should.
And by night-time the staff is having really noisy drinking partys by the tennis-courts. Sitting om the balcony at 11.pm and listening to the very loud music is absolutly annoying and it certainly proves that the staff dosn't care about the guests.
Beach-club:
Only deck-chairs far from the water and high prices on drinks and snacks.
Shuttle-bus is fine.
Tirrenia:
Very little to do and traffic is bumper to bumper. It took 45 minuts to drive 1 kilometer....
The price for a stay on Cosmopolitan is far to high compared to what they offer.

Lets focus on the positive first. Anna in reception was lovely. A very polite girl who spoke impeccable English. She was very professional in her work and in my opinion they could learn a lot from her professionalism if they adapted her approach to the running of the resort.. The apartments were very clean and accommodating. Modern décor which was nice. Air conditioning, excellent. The pool was beautiful. The bar staff were also very helpful. The restaurant and bar area looked nice also. Now lets focus on the improvements. Ants a bit of a problem in the apartments. Our towel and linen change was dumped outside our apartment midweek. My wife and I changed all linen and towels ourselves. (A little unprofessional). We had to walk to a communal bin which was used by the locals to empty our rubbish. How hard would it be for the resort to house its own bin for the residents. A car is a must for this resort. although you can get to the resort on foot from the local bus route it still is awkward to get to and from the main resort. There is a lovely Gentleman who drives the bus from the resort to the beach every Hour. He is a gem and I hope the hotel appreciates him for his character and helpfulness. The Pool staff were a little over the top when it came to sitting in the pool chairs. I understand the issue which is each apartment is assigned its own chair. But why don't they just put a reserved sign on these seats to avoid confusion. They do come across as being a bit too over protective of the seats to the point of being rude. I saw one body guard whistling at a resident to not sit in the seat. This is very rude in most countries.

We stayed here for 1 week and rented 2 apartments. We had 1 apartment with 2 adults and 2 teens(13&11).The other apartment had 3 adults.
Liked:-
Olympic size pool.
Great size apartment.
Staff very friendly and helpful
Golf not to busy so no prebooking golf required
Golf course was very good
Changed towels mid week.
Disliked:-
Swimming pool isn't heated. Have to wear hats in pool!!
No oven in the apartment so cant heat a pizza etc(Microwave/Grill combi)
No Kettle(this was very disappointing(had to boil water in a saucepan)
Restaurant food was very good but the Italian gentleman who runs it is most unhelpful, there was no menu to read and he was most upset that we couldn't speak Italian. When we tried to speak Italian he was rude and unhelpful. I would definetly not recommend this restaurant to anyone. It was our 1st night at he ruined it.
There are definetly more things that I liked about the resort than disliked. We had a brillant holiday and Tirrenia is a brillant base to view Pisa and Florence. The beach is quite a distance away from the accomodation and it's approx half a mile to the village. Coop is very close but to far to carry alot of bags back.
Accomodation was very clean and decor was nice.
Try the Restaurant Martini's amazing food and service, its signposted all over Tirrenia so you can't miss it.

I took an apartment and i was very surprised how large it was. You have plenty space and a well equipped kitchen.
And you have a splendid swimming pool always clean.
The only minus is the distance to the Beach. It is a little bit to far, but you can rental bikes.

We stayed for 3 nights in October 2014. We managed to get a bargain price and so the quality of the hotel was fair. The rooms were a fair size. We were out of the hotel most the time visiting Pisa and Florence. Recommend having a car. Taxi ride was approx 30 euros to Pisa centre. Florence was 1 hour from Pisa town centre and easy to get to from Pisa. If staying in Tirrenia, late October was very very quiet, most restaurants seemed to be closed on the main promenade, and the beach was completely deserted! We found a nearby restaurant which was an absolute gem!! Great service, fresh food and the best profiteroles! Really well priced too. Overall a fair hotel for the price we paid, but there wasn't much happening in October.
