In Winter or summer, the majestic Dolomites Range, a UNESCO Natural World Heritage since 2009, is one of the world's most beautiful, and the Alpenroyal, nestled in the scenic Val Gardena, is a memorable place from which to take it all in. For cold-weather aficionados, te hotel has ski-out facilities, as well as a brand new sauna and fitness world. Warm-weather guests can explore the stunning natural setting along a myriad of hiking trails or swim in the 1.500-square-eter alpine lake framed by the Dolomites' pale limestone peaks. For the ultimate in relaxation, book one of the hotel's suites, which come with Jacuzzis and privat steam-bath showers.

I have spent one more time my summer vacations at the Alpenroyal. Reading my reviews it is easy to discover that I am a super frequent visitor of this beautiful place, but this time and one more time the staff and the hotel surprised me.
We all know that this is a difficult summer, people cannot stay side by side, we must wear face masks and we must wash frequently and compulsively our hands. Well, at the Alpenroyal everything has been easier, thanks to the abundant space available, the beautiful grounds, the management of the guests by the staff. Even if health protocols were well in place, I can say that guests could live the restrictions in a good way, helped by the staff and by the layout of the hotel. So, even under Covid restrictions, this hotel is perfect. Plus, on August 15th, to celebrate Italian mid summer holiday, the staff organized something really outstanding: the dinner has been transformed into an elegant party, with cocktails served on the garden, dinner at the restaurant with an incredible variety of appetizers, and dessert buffet at the bar. All with Michelin star quality. My husband and I have joined many parties around the world, even at high levels with vip or celebs or authorities but never eat so deliciously at a party, and never experienced such perfect organization. The flow of food, the circulation of guests, the management by the staff: great, superb.
Sometimes I think that there should be around the world a place better than the Alpenroyal. But after a single day spent there, I still confirm that no, there is nothing better. On the Dolomites or elsewhere. So, if your destination are the Dolomites, don't waist time and choose the Alpenroyal.
Thanks to the General Manager Mr Hannes Prinoth and to all the guys of the staff. You all did an excellent job.

I was there for 4 nights with the misses and 2 kids.
I will start with the good:
The facility is very nice, the bar, the pool is great and the spa as well. One thing though, i m not sure u can call refer to yourself as a spa hotel if the saunas are only open from 3pm but actually hot at 4pm but maybe it is just me and it is custom to the area. The breakfast is super and we took the half board plan which is very very good value for money since the food is very nice and changes every day. Unfortunately couldnt dine at the gourmet since no availability. One more thing that is definitely a 5 star is the staf. Really nice and attentive group of people. The reception guys, the bar guys ,the restaurant etc just super.

The less good:
The rooms- not 5 star at all. We stayed at the alpenroyal suite which i must say we were upgraded to without asking and we appreciate it a lot. The room is very spacious and has two bedrooms. But!!!!guys realy, pay attention to the simple stuff so the room will say and feel 5star. The towels are 4stars max, the shoers my god, maybe in 1993 it was 5stars and cool but nowadays this ridiculous jaccuzi shower is realy not in the standard, the mattress was so so even the trash can is so simple and it really is not suppose to be like that. Simple things that makes the experience more pampering.

I m giving 4 stars thanks to the staff otherwise i eould give 3.

I will definitely check other options when coming back to the area.

Thanks anyway guys
The kids of course did not feel anything and had a blast.

We stayed at Alpenroyal in June 2021. Stayed in the junior deluxe suite, which is recently renovated to a modern and warm room. Good atmosphere, big room, with a spacious bathroom. Everything is clean. The staff is very friendly. We booked halfboard. The hotel has a Michelin star restaurant, but I think diner was prepared by the same chef. The food was excellent! Every evening, every course. No argument about it. The pool is pleasantly heated, which is very comfortable in winter, spring a and autumn as mornings and afternoons can be chilly. The car is parked under the hotel. Staying on the ground floor, we had a large terrace adjacent to the pool. The only thing I can think of are the gravel tiles on the terrace. That could be updated. But that is the only thing I can think of that could be better. Would love to go back in winter!

Dear Ramon, thank you very much for your kind words. The dinner in fact is supervised by the same chef but the Michelin Restaurant is even a step higher. We recommend to try it, maybe in winter next time? We wish you all the best and hopefully we see you soon again. Best greetings from the Dolomites Verena & the Alpenroyal team

We had a lovely break at the Alpenroyal, spending 9 nights and hiking in the spectacular Dolomites.

Weather looked awful on forecasts but was surprisingly good each day, the junior suite we stayed in was spacious and comfortable (only thing it missed was a nespresso machine).

Food and service at the hotel were truly outstanding, there was continuous offers to tailor the menu - we had fresh fish multiple times even when “off menu” and my gluten free requirements were served excellently, with the team remembering my GF needs each meal. Valentina in the restaurant team was particularly impressive, and the entire chef team served up amazingly delicious food. Strongly recommend you to go half board, it is not costly to do so and well worth it.

The facilities are great, we had daily massage package, and there are multiple indoor and outdoor swimming pools, jacuzzis, saunas and steam rooms.

Will come back again for another mountain stay!! We have stayed in many places and the service and food here really is absolutely super. Thank you

Since Aurora, my doughier was born 3 years ago we have spent one week during August at Alpenroyal. We return each year with joy, the Prinoth family has always had extreame care and culture of the guest that the staff from the reception to the fine dining restaurant practices all day long. Momo and the others assist guest in every detail makeing the stay a true moment of relax, weather you are a couple or a family. The modern SPA has been a place to hide here and there while the children were sleeping or in the outdoor swimming pool with a view over the Dolomites. Chef Porricelli detail is perceived during your meals even if they are not at the gourmet hall. The sound of the water while sitting outside is simply relaxing. In this difficult times when finding Staff and coping with energy costs is a true challenge the hotel feels like home.

The Alpenroyal is unquestionably the best hotel in the Dolomites, possibly in the entire alpine region.
The facilities are impeccable and beautiful, the SPA is jaw dropping, very elegantly appointed and spacious.
The service is simply perfect in every detail, the staff is attentive and very kind and able to satisfy even the most demanding clients.
The food and beverage offering is very varied and of exceptional quality.
Selva is beautiful in the summer and winter season, the area offers many activities and is suitable for everyone wether you are looking to relax and be pampered or to challenge yourself physically hiking, mountain biking or skiing.
Alpenroyal is true five stars resort where customers are treated like royalty by a professional team headed by a family with decades of experience in setting the standard for the highest level of service and hospitality. Go see for yourself!

Without doubt one this is our most favorite hotel in Val Gardena! Upon arrival we were warmly welcomed by the staff and the general manager, our names were mentioned and after a welcome drink we were assisted to the Junior Suite. The staff was extremely friendly and easy going and the restaurant did and amazing job as always. The chef Mario, the restaurant supervisor Momo and all the waiters and staff deserve a special thanks. We had seven great days and evenings here, which obviously also added up to the experience.

Plenty of summer activities on the mountains, visiting and shopping at the near by towns, as well as relaxing by the pool and spa which includes both Finnish and Turkish saunas.

This is not only a 5/5-star hotel, but the atmosphere is so special that we really feel like at home. All respect for the general managers Hannes and Verena who do a great job here; a true sample of excellent hospitality!

I have been spending all my winter weekends since the beginning of December 2019 at the Alpenroyal so far, and I will keep doing it until the slopes close at the beginning of April 2020. And I have been coming to this place since many many years, like forever. I have written many times reviewing my stays that this place is perfect. And I confirm it. Let me now add one more details on what makes this place unique. The deep knowledge of every member of the staff: the bar tender knows more about whiskeys than I do, and he is ready to suggest tasty surprises every night; the waitresses know all the ingredients of the dinner’s plates and they know details on the cooking process; the guy at the ski room knows how to prepare perfectly a pair of ski; the guys at the front desk simply help everybody on every request. It is for me much more comfortable than staying at home, and I am a very spoiled guy. I travel a lot, always lodging at 5 stars, Leading hotels around the world, but the feeling of being really pampered here is unique. If you are planning an escape to the Dolomites, my paradise on earth, there are no choices: alpenroyal first of all. And if you are planning to cancel your vacation or giving up reserving it due to the virus spread, well, you are missing a unique, totally health safe experience. Think twice and come. You will remember it forever. Feel free to contact me and I will convince you even more. Ciao, and thanks to the alpenroyal guys for making every stay better than the previous one. Marco

Superb quality and facilities, excellent modern spa, exquisite food and friendly atmosphere. Big attention to all detail. Although it’s not a ski in ski out, by combination of location and own shuttle it allows to get very quickly in different skiing directions. Have been here several times, really love this place.

La piscina esterna è riscaldata a 33 gradi. Quella interna a 32.
