An exceptionally warm & sincere welcome awaits you at this hotel, not only on arrival but at every single contact. It is clear that Susie, Victor, Sergio and Daniel are all passionate about providing excellent service and ensuring you have a truly memorable holiday.

The hotel itself is stylish, homely and pristine throughout, with rarely seen attention to detail and cleanliness. The spa is visually stunning, immaculate and has all the facilities you could possibly want. The attention to detail is second to none, which Susie visibly monitors and maintains, ably assisted by her first class room service staff, who even turn your bed down at night.

This hotel is perfectly situated right opposite an amazing view of the mountains and the main gondola the Ciampinoi. There are several restaurants in easy walking distance and we recommend La Bula. The excellent free bus service is appreciated. There are also a few shops and some nice bars.

Breakfast was fabulous with so much variety to suit everyone and I loved that there was always a beautiful cake or strudel. And, if you fancy, some fizz, help yourself!

We are confident that anyone who stays here will agree that it is one of the most outstanding hotels they have had the pleasure of visiting.

Thank you to all at The Aaritz for giving us an unforgettable week. We will see you again. Love Alan & Julie (Payton).

This was our 6th visit to Selva but the first time we’ve stayed at The Aaritz, and we weren’t disappointed. The hotel is situated directly opposite the main gondola in Selva so perfect for a ski holiday. The staff and service in the hotel are excellent and made us feel very welcome. Our room was on the 4th floor towards the back of the hotel which actually meant it was very quiet being away from the main road. The beds were comfortable, the storage facilities good, and it was lovely to have tea/coffee making facilities in the room with a fridge. Bathrobes and slippers were also provided for use in the pool and spa area.
The food at breakfast and dinner was excellent with plenty of choice. The 5 course evening meal consisted of good well cooked local dishes without trying to be too fancy. We loved having veal, venison, rabbit, liver, amongst other things and of course delicious pasta. There was also a good wine list. The bar area with open fire is a lovely area to enjoy a drink before and after dinner with a pianist playing several evenings. There was also a cocktail party one evening with the chance to meet and chat to other guests.
We enjoyed the pool and jacuzzi after a day on the slopes, with comfortable loungers and a drinks service available.
The ski/boot room in the basement contains a heated locker per room for storage of skis, boots and helmets with direct access to the Main Street.
All in all a great ski holiday and we will definitely be returning to this excellent hotel.

Amazing location, views out the front are brilliant, food very good. The highlights are the staff and the service. They really make you feel like you are at home. Nothing is too much trouble, dinner is really good and the menu is good, it’s never an issue if you want to go a bit off piste as well. My wife eats very little meat so they always made her a vegetarian dish. They always ask of you want more, I was even offered another steak!!
Our room was pleasant however a little dated, I believe they are slowly upgrading the rooms so I won’t dwell too much on this but brass fixtures and net curtains are a bit old fashioned and I hate showers over a bath. Time to crack on with the upgrade I say. My other pet hate is that some staff smoke in the building and they probably don’t realise but we could smell it in our room several floors above.
However that being said, I would definitely return Suzy is an incredible host and really couldn’t do any more for us. Thanks Aaritz.

The service in this hotel sets it apart. Nothing is too much trouble. Our room was at the back, with a decent bathroom and comfortable bed. I think the back is probably quieter. The spa area is lovely. Decent sized pool. 4 saunas. 2 steam rooms. The ski boot room is excellent with driers for boots in individual lockers. Meal times are a real treat. Five courses with a salad buffet to start. The food was sublime. If you don’t want something on the menu, the staff immediately offer alternatives. Breakfast is also extensive with enormous choice. Overall a real treat.

This hotel is almost too good to review - we want to keep it to ourselves! With a perfect location, literally across the street from the gondola taking you up to the Ciampinoi, it is also a beautifully appointed hotel that makes you feel welcomed and relaxed. But what truly sets this hotel apart is the staff and the quality of the food. We felt at home and well taken care of much over our (high) expectations. I don’t know the history of the hotel, but it feels like a family business, where the staff and ownership come together to make every guest feel welcomed. It is a four star hotel, but in my eyes it surpasses many five star hotels! Thank you for our stay!

My wife and I stayed at this hotel for a week in July. This was our base for a walking holiay (booked through Inghams). Set in an ideal location, a short walk from the centre of town, but across the road from the Campinoi cable car station. Our room was really comfy. A huge bed, in a large, well appointed room. The cleanliness was spot on. Our room had a huge balcony and an amazing view. The reception area was cozy, a good place to chill after a day's walking. A decent sized pool was very welcome also. The staff were very welcoming and very helpful. A special mention for Susie and Emily on reception. Breakfast was served in the sumptious dining room located on the first floor at the front of the hotel - the mighty Sassolungo towering above the valley. A really enjoyable stay. We loved this hotel.

This was my 7th time holidaying in Selva and was by far the best hotel that I've stayed in. From start to end the staff made us so welcome that we really didn't want to leave and without doubt we will return. The lovely owner Susy always greeted us with a nice smile and made us feel so welcome. Angelo, Sergio and young Leon were fantastic hosts and really looked after us during the whole of our stay. Angelo had a plaque made of my favourite football team and placed it in the bar, what a star!!!!. The hotel is great in every way, beautiful room and bathroom with stunning views. The breakfast was delicious with lots of choice. I would've loved it to have been half board with a meal in the evening as I'm sure it would've been amazing too. Thank you so much for making us so welcome and we can't wait to return.

We spent Christmas week at Hotel Aaritz, travelling with Crystal Ski. From the moment of our late arrival on Christmas Eve we were made to feel welcome and special. The owner and all her staff truly understand the meaning of hospitality - warm, friendly, professional .The spa facilities are exceptional and spotlessly clean, the food and wines wonderful and the bar and lounge cosy and fun. The location is perfect - opposite the main lift. We were thrilled to have found this rare gem and look forward to our return sometime soon.

Hotel Aaaritz is, without a doubt, one of the best places I have ever stayed. Exceptional staff who will make a considerable effort to ensure that you are entirely happy. The hotel is extremely comfortable and feels quite luxurious. From the rooms, lounge area and restaurant to the incredible spa/pool area. We reallty felt pampered and didn't want to leave! The position of the Aaritz is perfect. Near shops, restaurants and bars. Right in front of the bus stop and cable car. We had a front facing view which was breathtaking. We definitely want to return.

From the minute you arrive, to the minute you depart, the expirence is just wonderful. It is impossible to single out anyone member of the team, they are all brilliant and understand the true meaning of great service. The hotel is spotless, the food excellent and did I mention the service!! The boot room, with heated lockers are excellent, the spa again excellent. The hotel location is perfect for the slopes and right in the middle of Selva, which is a very pretty town to explore. We will be back. Thank you Suzy and your wonderful team. Antiono....let's hope Napoli win the league 🙏

Hi I worked as a rep for this hotel for a couple of seasons and its fabulous! July school holidays will be quieter than August as that is Italian holiday season. There are likely to be a handful of families but not enough to disturb a stay here or use of pool and spa facilities which are lovely. Book it you won't regret it.
