My wife and me spent four nights at the end of July. Rossella and Bruno have been fantastic hosts, very welcoming and friendly. I asked every morning about the weather forecast and which beach was the best on that day and we ended up always in the right places. Our room (Scirocco) was beautiful and the view from the window was amazing. Service has been impeccable too. Can't wait to go back there!

I was so lucky that me and my aunt had a chance to spend a few days in B&B Porta del Mare. Rossella and Bruno were very helpful and gave us useful tips sbout travelling around the island. The room in their own flat was very clean, comfy and beautiful with a great view to harbor. The location is in the heart of the main square so it's only a walking distance to visit Napoleon's place, shingle beach or eat dinner in small restaurant nearby. I would definitely stay there again if I had a opportunity. Wish you good luck and more travellers who can appreciate holidays in your charming and one of a kind place!

First of all, I wanna thank our hosts that made our stay more beautiful. They were there whenever you had a question and invisible for the rest of time. One of the great things about this small b&b is it's location and cleanliness. We would definitely stay there again if we have the occasion.

Rossella and Bruno were WONDERFUL. Bruno insisted on carrying our large suitcases the four flights of stairs to the room, which was much appreciated. The accommodations were fine- clean and welcoming. The location, in the heart of the main square, could not have been better. Bruno advised with train and ferry schedules to ensure trouble free connections. I felt bad that I could not communicate with Rossella (ie, my lack of Italian), but I believe she understood how appreciative we were of her efforts to make our stay comfortable. We would highly recommend this B&B to all!

We were so lucky to find Porta del Mare what a gem we just loved our stay with Rossella And Bruno they are a delightful couple extremely welcoming and so helpful. Elba Island is definitely worth a visit, Portoferraio is so full of history and we were in the centre staying in this restored building in a modern, charming and spacious room with an amazing view of the harbour. We will definitely return given the chance Bruno is just so great at organising boat trips and knowing all the best places to visit ,it's a must on your travel agenda and don't forget B&B Porta del Mare, the perfect accommodation.

We stayed three nights at this cute little B&B, Rossella and Bruno were fantastic. So welcoming and went out of their way to help us out. It's in a great location, I was travelling with young kids and able to walk to 3 different beaches and one rocky cove to explore. It's central in the old town and we could also easily walk to the harbour, around town, restaurants, historic sites etc.... great spot, amazing holiday.

We stayed here for two nights in Portoferraio. Our hosts were excellent, friendly, and helpful, and called to arrange a car rental for us as well. Their home is beautiful (three/four flights of stairs though, but for me that's no problem, and actually charming), an old old building right at a historic square in the old city. Totally recommendable! Large bathroom as well, very nicely renovated.

Very pleasant B&B in Elba. Clean and private with tall ceilings. The fact that it is up four flights of stairs means it is much quieter than it could be. We also had a room without a view, which was probably a blessing as it's on one of the most touristy squares in Portoferraio with cover bands playing quite late most nights. Portoferraio itself in the height of summer is full on - perhaps too full on for us - but with the right guidance you can still find hidden, quiet gems. The location, although a little alarming at first, is great as you can stroll up to one of Napoleon's villas through deserted historic streets and there's also a nice, secluded pebble beach. Evening strolls can be filled with boat and people watching. We were given essential top tips by the owners for

Beautifully decorated and stylish B & B. We stayed in the 'Maestrale' room for five nights and then 'Grecale' for two - both were lovely, clean and had huge beds. Grecale has wonderful sea views and a four poster bed and we were very impressed. Rossella and Bruno were extremely welcoming and helpful, giving us great pointers about where to eat (and some 10% discounts!) and the nicest beaches nearby. We didn't have a car so mainly stuck to the local beaches, which were lovely. There is a small town beach 'Le Viste' which is a 10 minute walk form the B and B and is far less crowded than the main beach and far nicer. There are also buses to other beaches if you want to go further afield. Overall we were extremely pleased with our choice and would definitely come again!
