Comfort room quite large and a lot of of space. Great bathroom and shower. The smell of the wood is so nice and good. The view on the mountains and the pool is fantastic. Long walks and bike rides everywhere, enjoying later the sweet gorgeous 'tea-time' sudtyroler style! To go on with a splash in the pool, a sauna and a Turkish bath before dinner with perfectly prepared dishes. Will come here in future for the nth time, again and again. Thanks to the Engel family for their hospitality, always flawless.

You’ll be guaranteed to have a relaxing and fun stay. I booked this hotel for a solo trip and wanted an all inclusive type stay that would make things on easy on me since I’m traveling alone and didn’t feel like renting a a car.
This hotel is easy to reach by public transport (trains and bus). Is right in the town of Ortisei.
Has a nice heated pool and spa. I also scoured reviews and chose this hotel because they have a guide who will take you on hikes so I figured that would help me make sure I see the Dolomites. George, their guide, did not disappoint. I had so much fun.
The staff is all really friendly and professional - I really enjoyed everyone who works here.
The amenities are really nice, the owners clearly take pride.
And the dinners are delicious.
I feel very rested after my stay here. Thank you!

Our experience has been absolutely wonderful . It started before we left with very responsive and accommodating staff. We had to make a few changes due to some personal issues and they were extremely accommodating. We got the superior room for 3 of us for 6 nights and that was beautifully setup and spacious. The swimming pool and spa were perfect for after skiing relaxation. The afternoon snack / drinks (4-6 pm) was timely for in between meals and after a long ski day. We had breakfast there every day and the food was good and the waiters were very friendly. We also had Christmas dinner and the salt crusted sea bream was perfectly done. Having the garage access and ski room with heated boot holders made the ski experience much better . They also had a shuttle service but we preferred to just drive. Overall it felt very personal and wonderful. Thank you for making our ski trip to the Dolomites a memorable one.

We have been coming to Hotel Angelo for many years and it is an excellent experience for a skiing holiday. From the moment you arrive to the time you leave, it is a winter wonderland. The resort, Ortisei, is stunning with amazing shops and cafes, and where the atmosphere is very "holiday".

The hotel staff are mostly friendly although the dining room staff could do with some further training as they have been much better in the past, for example setting up tables for breakfast whilst we were waiting to order deserts for over 30 minutes. But that said the food is divine, the wines are plentiful, and the experience is good.

As for the rooms, well this is North Italy in the mountains so you would expect a lot of wood detail and it does not disappoint! The bathrooms are perfect and the bed is comfortable. Not sure why they fold the duvet but this then does fall off you in the middle of the night. The temperature of the rooms has been turned down and is now just about right.

The hotel comes with a superb boot room for skiing, a shuttle to the lifts which whilst they are close is a nice luxury, and there is a knowledgable and very friendly ski guide for those that are a good level and do not want the hassle of navigating their way round the fantastic ski runs which are in my opinion some of the best resorts I have skied on,

Once you have had a long hard day skiing you can relax in the SPA where there is a lovely outdoor and indoor pool (joined) and relaxing rooms as well as saunas too.

All in all, you will not be disappointed to stay in this resort and hotel.

So pleased that we chose this wonderful small hotel to stay at for a week in the Dolomites. All the members of staff were very welcoming and efficient, and the room was immaculately clean. We went half board and were delighted with the dinners, with a good choice and very good value. You get a free bus pass to use in Val Gardena and surrounding areas, which was very helpful, and the hotel also has bikes and a walking guide. Lovely pool with West facing views down the valley and lovely evening sunshine.
As noted, this hotel is small and personal, and totally unpretentious… we will certainly return as Val Gardena is also a perfect base for summer hiking.

We stayed last weekend for the fourth time. A really lovely hotel with excellent rooms and great facilities. All the staff are really friendly and helpful especially those in the dining room. The service could not be faulted. I need a gluten free diet which was very well catered for and was able to have most things on the menu made gluten free. The food was excellent with a comprehensive wine list.
We like having the free transport pass and the close proximity to all that Ortisei has to offer.
My only disappointment was that we didn’t stay long enough. We could easily have stayed for longer than 4 nights. We will definitely return

Great hotel: every detail is perfect : the location, the rooms, the swimming pool, the food, the excursions, but above all: the staff is the most gentle we ever met. Everybody tries his very best to make you feel at ease, nothing is to difficult for them.
What a great place.

Our stay at the Hotel Angelo Engel in July was a uniquely enjoyable experience.  The accommodations were excellent and all the staff made us feel like we were staying at the family run hotel that it is.  After a long day of travel, the front desk staff stayed late to ensure a seamless check-in process and the bartender, Nicola, welcomed us with lovely drinks to mark our first trip to the Dolomites. The hotel bar was a cozy and inviting place to spend time relaxing after long days outdoors. We particularly enjoyed the Welcome aperitif on Monday evening with delicious snack and harp music. Nic made outstanding drinks named after the original owners, Martin and Maria.  We met many friendly guests and we appreciated how easy the hotel made it to join in group hiking excursions with their in-house guide, Georg.  We just met the group at in the lobby with our family for an enjoyable day on the Alpe di Siusi. Georg also gave us suggestions and even drew a map for us when we planned our day outing to Seceda. The family suite with balcony was just right for our family of two adults and two teens. The setting in Ortisei is magical and even though we thought visiting the Dolomites was a once in a lifetime experience, staying at the Angel Engel made us look forward to returning for skiing in the winter.

We had a junior suite with two balconies and slept very well
The kitchen was a great you. The Spa is very comfortable and swimming from the inside to the outside is very special. Within a few hundred meters you are in the centre and the pistes can all be reached by walking tot the lifts.

My family of 5 had two rooms for five days and we were on the meal plan. The experience was excellent across all categories, and I would highly recommend this hotel. The half board meal plan was great, with a new menu to select from each day. The staff was superb, especially Elena at front desk, Nick at the bar, Linda and Lenka in dining room, and George the hotel's ski guide. The spa services and facilities and the swimming pool were sumptuous. The location was easy and there was a van to drop off and pick up from the ski lifts, and the hotel had free indoor parking. The rooms were comfy and spacious with balconies, and the whole hotel was beautiful and comfortable.

Il parcheggio esterno se nessuno utilizza il garage può risultare insufficiente, ma è' difficile che nessuno lo utilizzi soprattutto in inverno. Io all'esterno in tanti anni non ho avuto mai problemi
