What a lovely place to spend the Holidays. Andrea and his entire staff were so helpful, both in making our reservation and once we arrived, we received consistent excellent attention. Gracious hospitality sums up the staff. We took only breakfast with our room but did eat one dinner and had New Years Eve at the hotel. We were never disappointed, and if there weren't so many great restaurants to try in Ortisei and the area, I would have had dinner every night at the hotel. The breakfast bar has something for everyone and every type of diet and they will accommodate special requests. You are assigned a table and it remains "your" table for the stay so your party can come and go during the breakfast hours at their leisure and you are never rushed. The bar in the lobby has plenty of tables and booths and it is a great place to gather with your group and have an aperitivo or an after dinner drink. Ortisei is not a late night town so it is nice to have a place to relax after returning from dinner. We had three rooms - two junior suites and a classic room for 12 days. The rooms are all very clean, beds are comfy, and the rooms each provided the right amount of space to be very comfortable. There is plenty of storage for ski clothes and winter clothing for a long stay. We were very happy with the size of the rooms. Housekeeping is efficient and excellent, they get your room done while you are at breakfast so there is no interruption of your use of the room. I would recommend a junior suite that has a bath and separate shower, or just a shower for the classic room. I would also recommend a room that does not face the Main Street - it is a lovely view but the delivery trucks arrive in town very early and they are noisy.
Andrea was a great resource for all things needed - from ski rental to restaurants. We tried everyone he recommended and enjoyed them all. The pool and sauna room provided a lovely amenity that we used regularly - again very clean and simply appointed. There is a ski equipment room for hotel guests and Andrea can direct you to a rental that will deliver your rental to your lockers and pick up your skis after you leave.

Location was ideal, staff attention to clients was very good, made us feel that we were indeed welcomed. We had a nice spacious room on the top floor, comfortable bed and beautiful bathroom. Every adornment in the room and the corridor were tastefully designed befitting the history of the building.
And, of course a very nice quality breakfast in the morning.

Wonderful stay for a week. Hotel is well located. Family operation so service is spectacular. Great! breakfast buffet, half board dinner is delicious and varied. Awesome desserts. Room is a good size with a seating area. Mini fridge. Typical of European hotels, only combo bath gel/shampoo provided (in refillable container). Daily housekeeping. Nice pool and sauna/steam room. Too bad there is no whirlpool. Thursdays they have entertainment in the lobby and delightful hors d'oeuvres. Only drawback is there can be a lot of street noise (our room overlooked the front of the hotel).

The Stetteneck has everything for a perfect stay in Ortisei: an ideal location, beautiful rooms, a local feel, and a friendly, knowledgable and professional staff. The hotel is just the right size — 25 guest rooms — to keep it cozy and personal, while having great amenities like a pool and sauna, plus a terrific bar with the best drinks, people-watching, and strudel in town. We have stayed at the Stetteneck many times and always take the half-board which includes dinner. It’s a great value. The food is delicious, and the menu varies and has wonderful choices.

I spent a week at the Stetteneck and was quite impressed. The hotel is perfectly located in the center of town, close to restaurants and a short walk from the main ski lifts. They offer a breakfast and it's one of the best I've come across in my travels with lots of fruit, fresh pastries, and dishes that a European or American like me would expect.
The hotel itself has a storied history but you wouldn't know that given how cutting edge and spiffy it all is. And my single room was big. I depend on the internet when I travel and the hotel's is quite responsive. I also used the pool a couple of times. It's a nice one and no one else was there.
But what took things to the next level was the staff. Friendly, helpful, with English skills that are way better than you'll find in most of Italy. The folks at the front desk were particularly helpful. I'm a professional landscape/travel photographer and do extensive research on the best shot locations in an area. And my chats with Marlies on the best sights was eye opening. She has in-depth knowledge of the Dolomites and gave me help targeted to my requirements -- as good as the best tourist info people I've seen.
Bottom line, this is a top flight hotel that gives great value.

this is the second time I stayed at the Stetteneck - for good reason. Comfortable, stylish, excellent food and helpful staff. Rooms are of a good size and well furnished. The hotel is located at the top of old town, near dozens of interesting shops - clothing, restaurants, sporting goods. A five minute walk takes one to central bus station with convenient transportation to everywhere in the valley. Some of my party had food issues that the hotel was able to accommodate. Hotel is located on a pedestrian way, so little noise at night.

We experienced Hotel am Stettneck as rustic luxury. Guest care is valued and we found all the staff to be helpful and gracious. The breakfast, served buffet style, was fresh, high quality and a great way to start each day.

We stayed two nights and found the location ideal for accessing the cable cars to both Seceda and Seiser Alm, with shopping and restaurants just steps away.

After the magnificent scenic hikes, a swim in the heated pool followed by time in the sauna and steam room were a perfect way to end each day. (Pro-tip: hike down and take the chair lifts back up . Separate fee from cable car ticket but worth it!)

Our suite was spacious and the en suite beautifully updated. We slept very well each night - from all the exercise or the comfy beds or both?

We enjoyed our stay at this hotel for one night we stayed in June. We had the junior suite which was clean and spacious. Our family of 4 was able to sleep comfortably. The breakfast service was really good with a wide spread of juices, breads, pastries. Enough options for us as vegetarians. We arrived by bus from Bolzano and our bus stop was close enough. We left by bus. The hotel gives free tickets to use in town or for the way back to Bolzano. This is very close and within walking distance to restaurants, cable car lifts etc. The staff was very helpful. We had just one complaint - the room was a little cold in the night for us and the heating didn't work for us. We asked for help and even though the staff member tried his best, it didn't help. Other than that minor inconvenience, we enjoyed our stay. There's a pool on site too, but we couldn't get to use it.

Hotel spotless, Very Friendly and helpful staff. Excellent breakfast before skiing.
Plenty of hot water and strong shower pressure on the top floor, Valuables Safe was a little temperamental, but not an issue.

Everything was wonderful. The staff are very kind and helpful and the hotel is spotless. The pool was so refreshing after a 3 hour hike in the mountains. The pre-check-in email with helpful hints for the area was especially appreciated. We would definitely stay with them again. Their location could not be better for access to the cable car and the restaurants. A tip (this may have been in their instructions somewhere), drive along the right side of the hotel for the parking, not the left. It’s a tight turn-around in there.

Confermo, le camere hanno arredamento in stile tirolese. I bagni sono ristrutturati, in alcuni c'e' la vasca, in quelli piu' piccoli la doccia. Io preferisco l'arredamento moderno, ma questo va piu' che bene.
