Detailed Reviews
We stayed at Albion Hotel for 3 nights in December with a 3yo and 8mo. The structure is perfectly equipped for little ones, with a huge play room where we spent quite a bit of time before winding down.
Despite being a bit out of town, they operate a very efficient mini-bus service. We never had to wait more than a few minutes to leave the hotel, and you can call them to be picked up anytime.
The outside heated swimming pool was great. We were lucky to be able to swim outside while it was snowing, which was a new and unique experience for us.
Unlike other hotels we tried in Val Gardena, the staff was genuinely warm and friendly, without "faking" regard for us.
At breakfast and dinner there was a lot of variety, with generous portions. Breakfast even include a chef ready to prepare eggs or crêpes on demand.
Our room was spacious and comfortable.
We really had a great time there.

Fantastic! Just Fantastic....
One thing I must say, the rating is wrong! It’s not a 4 star it’s definitely a 5 star hotel.
You just feel when you take your step into the reception, “welcome to your vacation and we will take care of you and your family” and that feeling is right!
The staff is just wonderful and all in service minded. From the bartender, waitresses (Maria✌️) to the shuffle bus drivers who takes you to the sloop when ever you want and pic you up very quickly after a phone call.
The owner’s Mr & Mrs Rier is just a fantastic and helpful, they just want you to enjoy and relax!
The food is excellent!
Breakfast buffet has all you want, with a chef cooking your omelette, pancakes or what ever else you ask for!
The dinner is also superb! 7 courses each evening with a huge salads buffet and enormous dessert buffet!
The other 5 courses is served at your table!
The spa and relaxing area is one of the best I ever been at! In February you have a heated infinite pool outdoors with a water temperature at +33 C indoor pool at +35C they also have 2-3 jacuzzi both indoor and outdoor!
The views from the pool area is the best the Dolomites have to offer, and you can see the top of Seceda.
For the children, they have a huge playground in the basement with ping pong, billiards tapes, video games, climbing frame etc, etc.
the ski room has for each and every room their own space in a locker! Just fantastic!
We will return next year and have all ready booked our stay to make sure it not will be sold out!
So don’t hesitate, you will have the best vacation ever at this plays!

The Hotel is nice and staff mostly friendly and attentive. However, attention to detail and quality is missing for the money you pay. I think it’s a management issue.
Most rooms don’t have air-condition so it can be quite hot at night. We are in a Junior Suite and you would expect an aircon when paying almost €400 a night. The bed seems older and sinks in on the side. What I do not understand for a 4*S Hotel is the fact that the minibar is empty. You have to shop your drinks yourself.
No coffee machine in the room. Iron and Iron-board we had to order at reception. Breakfast is very nice, but we got half-board and dinner has been pretty ordinary each night. We ordered cake twice. The Apfelstrudel was the worst I had in my life. The Marmorkuchen the next day was hard and dry. Staff is friendly, helpful but they don’t give you the feeling “we love you to come back next time”. They do what they have to do and you can’t complain but there is something missing. The pool area is nice but you don’t get any service. They could set up an outdoor bar and a coffee machine for people to help themselves. That would work. Towels you have to bring from your room.
It is a shame and I thought I give 3 points in my review. But I give 4 points because the Junior Boss is such a nice guy, super friendly, attentive and helpful. With him in Service things look up. I hope the hotel can fix the few things we addressed with a bit more attention to detail, the Hotel could easily get a 5* rating. For the price you pay, we expect the little extra service and attention to detail. The Junior Chef is showing he is willing to go the extra mile which is lovely to see.

Good overall, but not great. We stayed in one of the new chalets which has beautiful design with a wall of windows. The bathroom is huge with a nice rain shower and double sinks. Very comfortable bed. Unfortunately we could barely use the balcony because of the constant smoke blowing in our faces from the neighbors. Although the room is advertised as having AC, it barely cools the room, and again due to the cigarette smoke, we couldn’t keep the door open. Also I found it strange that for a $580 a night room, they wouldn’t automatically refill your coffee. The restaurant staff is terrific, if not for them this review probably would have been 3 stars versus 4. The servers were a delight. The breakfast buffet was plentiful and the dinners were all very good with many choices. Nice spa and wellness area, but hot tubs too small to accommodate the number of guests. Ebike rentals pricey versus prior hotel we stayed at. For the price versus overall experience, don’t think we would stay here again since there are so many choices in the val Gardena area.

We picked this hotel after reading good reviews and ended up having a best holiday ever.
First, the location is gorgeous with beautiful mountains on the background. It is close by a road but you barely notice it and there is no disturbing traffic noise. You can watch the mountains whether you are swimming, playing tennis or football (as we did with our 7-year-old) or having a meal.
Everything is well kept and clean. We had one of the older rooms but it was spotless and didn’t feel dated at all. There was enough space for 3 of us. There’s no air conditioning but they gave us a fan since it was exceptionally warm. On most nights air was cool enough and we didn’t even need it.
The restaurant is outstanding. Their a’la carte is Michelin level! Unlike many South-Tyrolean hotels, they have many modern and seafood options as well. In combinations with vast salad buffet, stylish interior and great service, you can’t ask for more. A special mention for amazing tea selection. Only thing I would mention is that some breakfast buffet options had gone bad. At least twice did it happen that cucumbers and corns were clearly unedible. Maybe they could have a little smaller selection. Also, wines were quite pricy.
They have great facilities for children. Both outdoor and especially indoor playgrounds and fantastic and clean. Kids can also play ping pong, tennis and football and swim in the outdoor pool. While very family friendly, the hotel remains quiet and tranquil and suits well for couples too.
Sauna and pool area are fabulous. A perfect place to relax after a day on the mountains. Outdoor main pool is best of the best with beautiful scenery and just the right temperature that you like to soak in yet not too wam for swimming a few laps. Kids can enter all the pools and a family sauna but not a specific sauna world.
There are some trails starting very near the hotel but most scenic ones are a short ride away.
All the staff members were very nice and attentive. They have many services and guided hikes etc available but we preferred to go on our own.
All in all, this is a perfect place for relaxing luxurious mountain holiday for families and couples alike.

We have been coming to this hotel for more than ten years and we plan to continue!
Structure slightly decentralized from Ortisei but very well connected by local public transport - free for hotel guests - which has a stop right outside the hotel; in about ten minutes you arrive in the village.
The view of the valley and the mountains that surround it is nothing short of spectacular.
The Rier family (kind regards to Elsa, Stefan and their son) manages the hotel with great care and love. Over time he transformed it into an excellent accommodation facility in Val Gardena, improving it more and more every year.
The staff is very kind and always ready to take care of customers, especially in the restaurant area - very good Livi and the legendary Silvio.
The rooms are well-kept and very clean; the Bio Junior Suite Arnika are beautiful, furnished in a modern style but with the warmth given by the typical mountain materials (wood, stone); the terrace has a splendid view. Those who book a Bio Junior can park their car in the convenient covered garage.
The cuisine was very good, a very abundant breakfast with local products. Maybe a mid-afternoon snack is missing, when you return from excursions.
Very, very beautiful swimming pool and SPA area; wonderful relaxation area.
One of the hotel's strong points are the guided tours: Peter is very good and friendly - we really hope to continue to find him organizing trail tours for Albion guests! The excursions are free, you only pay for lunches in the hut and any use of ski lifts.
Wanting to find faults with this structure, two things come to mind: the pillows on the beds, which are too soft, and the air conditioning in the rooms, which is not provided (unfortunately now in summer it is sometimes hot even in the mountains; the thermostat does not seems to be adjustable, or perhaps it is not really intended to be possible to vary the temperature of the room).

Flawless from booking through reception to departure. The restaurant is due a Michelin star or two for the quality of the food and service. Every member of staff impressed through their professionalism and friendliness
If we are anywhere nearby in future we will stay here and stay longer to make more use of the outside heated pool and the programme of walks.

First time at the Albion, first time in the Dolomites. I found this hotel on Google, without an agency, I must say that I got it right. We were guests of the structure from 23 to 30 July and it was a magnificent experience, everything as in the photo: room 506, a bio arnica Junior suite, it exceeded my expectations, very spacious, there were 4 of us, large walk-in closet, large shower and bathtub in the bathroom, beautiful window and balcony overlooking the forest. Bathrobes, slippers, bag and towels, excursion backpack in the room. Beautiful SPA, water, herbal teas, tea, apples and nuts always available. Stunning indoor and outdoor heated infinity pool, 2 hydromassage tubs 1 indoor and 1 outdoor, sunbeds everywhere for relaxation. Our table in the restaurant was also what I had wanted: with a view of the mountains. The cuisine is very good, the breakfast buffet is so vast that you won't be able to taste everything in a week. Dinner with table service to choose from 3 types of menu: gourmet, classic and Larino. Also buffet of appetizers and desserts. Everything quality. Very kind staff: Vili our friendly waiter even worried if we were too cold or hot, always attentive and present with a smile to our every need. Excursions included in the price led by the tireless Peter, a great person, with him we saw breathtaking views and took pleasant and even challenging walks with stops in the huts for a good refreshment. The reception staff were very kind and immediately answered my questions and gave the best advice. What can I say, a beautiful holiday, I highly recommend it to everyone. I personally hope to be able to return soon again with my family, maybe even in winter where everything will be even more magical!!

Family Ried and the Albion staff are an amazing crew. The hotel offers the best for active winter and sommer sport vacations in the world. The room "Arnika" Junior Suites are my favourite with large windows and view to the mountains and only the forrest in front with only birds singing if you open the terrace door. The weekly activity program which starts on Monday and goes until Saturday is one of a kind with activities for everybody. I strongly recommend to stay 1 week with dinner included. The wellness and outdoor pools are excellent, the alpine lake is my favourite in Sommer and the Sauna in Winter. The staff at the restaurant make you feel at home with a very positive athmosphere. My mom said, she would come back only for the chief of staff at the Restaurant "Silvio" he is so good. The kitchen with its gourmet/ladiner and classic 5 course menu you can mix and choose every dinnert is wonderful. I come here since 4 years 1x a year for 1 week and can not wait to be back. Thank you for all.

We have spent a week in Albion Hotel being on a ski holidays. Everything is very well prepared for guests: rooms, ski room with a very good boots heater, a very good restaurant, great choice for breakfast with a very good cafe! Great spa with heated outside pool. Professional staff in a restaurant and extremely reliable ski bus drivers.
