We stayed at Albergo Somont for four nights in September and had the most amazing time. This quaint family owned hotel offers a location that is the best of both worlds--a tranquil retreat with an incredible view of the mountains and easy access to short hiking trails, while being just a short trip (walking or driving) to the shops, bars, and restaurants of downtown Ortisei. An amazing value, the hotel offered a *free* breakfast every morning from 7:30-9 (yogurt, bread, cheese, speck, eggs, pastries) and full dinner service at night. After some long days of hiking, having easy access to great food without leaving the hotel was such a nice treat. The dinner menu was simple and consistent, but we were especially impressed with the friendly and accommodating service and the specials that changed every night. The owners truly create a warm and enjoyable environment that make any stay memorable. We will be back and recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a special place to make memories.

The family that runs this inn is very kind and hospitable. The peaceful location and stunning view is simply incredible. My room was clean and comfortable with a little balcony looking towards the mountains. The shower has strong pressure and steaming water, which is perfect after a long day in the snow. The breakfast is included with the room with fresh eggs from their own chickens and homemade pastries. The restaurant is also open for lunch and dinner with typical dishes of the area. The portions are big and reasonably priced. There's an adorable resident cat on property. The hotel is also pet-friendly for guests traveling with their fur-babies.

Wife & I stayed 7 nights at Albergo Somont January 2020. Spectacular views with an easy 10 minute drive up the mountain outside of Ortesei. Room was updated, bathroom was spotless and bed was very comfortable. The restaurant on site served excellent meals with a variety of choices every night. Insam family was very friendly and accommodating. They treated us like family.

We were staying in the local area at a hotel without a restaurant; Auberge Somont restaurant was close by and recommended by our host so we went up on the first night - and what a find! A brilliant view of the mountains around Ortisei, kind owner, and delicious good value local dishes. We ate here for every evening meal we had in the area and absolutely would stay here if we returned to the local area. We enjoyed the view, good food and wine immeasurably.

A very lovely hotel with a brilliant view of the dolomites, very lovely family who runs it, quick to share information and tips. Food is delicious and big in portions. Very easy to get to by public transport. There is a lovely cat on the property. Rooms were cleaned and service was good.

The Albergo Sumont was a very good place to stay in Ortisei. The view is excellent and the staff were very friendly. The breakfast food was simple but tasty. The room was spartan but after a busy day sightseeing or skiing you'll find the bed to be heavenly. It's a bit difficult to find, especially at night, just keep going up the hill...you'll find it.

Hi everybody! My boyfriend and I we were in Ortisei for the white week for skiing and we chose the Hotel Somont. We got a great time there! The view from the window was ABSOLUTELY AMAZING and the room was so warm! The restaurant was nice and cozy with great spinach ravioli :) The owner was super nice with us and when I got sick and I asked him a lemon He all the week brought me a lemon 😍 We recommend it at all!
