We loved this hotel so much we have booked it again for next year. This was our first ski holiday with small children. The hotel offered us so much assistance and always made us feel that nothing was too much trouble. The collected our ski passes, repaired our broken snow chains and provided absolutely everything we needed and asked for. The hotel throughout is impeccably clean. The pool area is wonderful for relaxing (obviously not when we arrive with a seven and four year old), the ski room has everything you need, the breakfast has everything you could want to start the day. Our children loved the huge playroom and spent time there everyday. There is plenty of parking either directly in front of the hotel or in their large private car park opposite. I cannot recommend this hotel more highly. They absolutely get hospitality and do it so well.

Great hotel. Handy to slopes, super spa and wonderful staff. On site bar was our preferred apres ski hide out.

Luis in the dining room took exceptional care of us, with his friendly, attentive team. We are already planning to return.

Really friendly hotel located reasonably close to the slopes. Good food for breakfast and dinner when taking the half board option. The swimming pool is a nice luxury. Only improvement I can think of would to be to offer a service of a minibus to the slopes, as some of the surrounding hotels do. Overall very happy and would definitely return!

Room Tip: The larger rooms with mountain view are well worth it.

Very clean place, but rooms lacked 'soul' - plastic wood, 'Ikea furnishing. Swimming pool and spa area was lovely. The dining area was tired and old fashioned. We had half board and the food was not nice at all. Odd combinations of food on the menu. You were forced to select your evening meal at breakfast which I really didn't like. The quality of the food and its preparation was variable - one evening we had a pork dish that was cold and uncooked in the centre, another evening we had pasta which was almost inedible because it was over salted. Breakfast had a good choice of stuff but it was all quite poor quality food badly prepared, overboiled grey yolk eggs, cold bacon and lukewarm fried eggs. There was one coffee machine for 60 guests so queuing for coffee was the norm. Orange juice was straight from a bottle. This property had a good location a nice bar area and the staff were very friendly and helpful but it was really let down by the awful food - so much so, that we ate out on two evenings out of 4 because we didn't want to eat in the Italia restaurant again.

This small, family run hotel is located in the centre of Corvara, handy for the ski lifts which connect to an unbelievable large skiing area. The public areas are nicely decorated which makes for a warm, cosy atmosphere, particularly in the bar. The rooms are divided in 'Superior' and 'Comfort' , the first are new or newly refurbished. If you want the sun, ask for room on the side or back of the hotel.
Rooms 212, 216 and 218 are new, very spacious with place for one and even 2 extra beds, large balcony and picture window, decorated with wood panelling. Good bathroom, under floor heating I think, large heated towel rack, so handy for drying ski clothes! And bathrobes also for the kids. Useful for going to the nice SPA/pool area.
Then there is room 110, supposedly a non renovated single, however it had 2 beds and plenty space for it and the bathroom was the same as the other ones, minus the bathrobe. But it had a small window looking out on the wall of the building next door, a pot of dead flowers and the end of the fire escape which took a lot of light from the room. Only by craning your neck could you see a small bit of mountain scenery.
Single rooms are the step child of hotel design!
Difference between B&B and Half Board is small and the meals are excellent. The Buffet breakfast has everything you can possibly think of and then some. Dinner is 4 course with choices, and served at table.
This is a 3* not a 4* hotel, so do not expect a large reception area, hi class toiletries in the bathroom or a carpet on the floor, and the bathroom 'glasses' are or the thinnest possible plastic, however the Superior rooms merit more than 3 stars and so does the efficient and friendly service of the staff.

The first night the food was fabulous but after that it was inconsistent. Fish very average but every dessert was delicious. Great service. Would suggest they don’t make you sit at the same table breakfast & dinner. Feels very controlled.

Superb breakfasts at the buffet. the rooms are adequate on a budget and if you choose to upgrade the rooms are very spacious.
the evening meals were priced in line with other establishments around town so a reasonable price for the evening meal

5 friends and I stayed at the Italia for a week’s skiing from 2-9 March. We usually self cater so were a bit dubious going HB, however the selection & quality of food was fantastic with a huge variety for breakfast and a huge 5 course evening dinner, which was really well made and a great choice for all. They took particular attention to some of our specific dietary requirements too. The staff are very friendly and efficient and nothing is too much for them. The bar area is really nice and cosy and lots of little private rooms you can hang out with your party too. The spa is superb - extremely clean and fantastic to have it right on our floor too. This hotel is a little gem and we are definitely returning. Particular mention to Luis and Daniela who looked after our every need. Thanks all at Hotel Italia - you’re all brilliant.

The food was brilliant, the spa was so relaxing and well appointed. The rooms were quality but the furniture feels a little dated although well taken care of. Particularly liked the welcoming staff - it felt like a big family and the bar staff were exceptional.
