Booked a Superior room incl breakfast for 2 nights with the hotel. We chose this hotel due to closeness to railway station and Reggia. It is also within easy walking distance to town. You can see the hotel upon exit from the station, off to the right. Received a pleasant checkin & allocated room 220. There are 2 lifts servicing the building. Our room is a generous size with a sitting area, minibar tea/coffee making, tv's, a safe & very comfortable large bed. The room is on the corner of the building with windows, which are openable, facing 2 sides. Curtains are good at blocking out the light. It can get busy on the road so the windows needed to be closed for sleeping, but there is air con, which works effectively. Wifi can be relied upon too. The ensuite is large with wonderful rain shower. There is a drying rack too. Breakfast is held downstairs from 7-10. Its buffet style with plenty of choice & good quality food with helpful staff. This hotel has a bar and restaurant which seems to be open for lunch & dinner. All staff we encountered were helpful & professional. This hotel provides value for money & had everything we needed for a comfortable 2 night stay.…
The hotel is conveniently situated a 3min walk from the train station, the Royal Palace and the downtown area. The hotel staff and restaurant are very welcoming. I took a single room which had a bidet squashed into the corner of the shower which meant the shower area was squashed. The glass shower door was unmovable which I mentioned to reception however this wasn't repaired during the duration of my stay.
The city of Caserta is unfortunately in a downswing from my last visit here a number of years ago. What remains worthy of a visit is the Royal Palace of Caserta, one of if not the best of the grand palaces of Europe. The Hotel Royal is within a few blocks of the palace and has a paid parking lot just across the street. A nearby street has a number of casual eateries and the hotels own restaurant is actually very good. The rooms are decent size and very clean. Beds are firm and comfortable. Staff are professional and helpful in responding to all inquiries. Having traveled off season the rates were good as well.
We only stayed the one night here, but we were impressed with this lovely hotel. The location was perfect for us, within five minutes walk of the Royal Palace and the railway station. It is on a busy street but our room was quiet, as we requested. Comfortable room, aircon that worked and a good breakfast - perfect for our stop-over. Would recommend.
We only stayed one night as we wanted to visit the Reggia di Caserta which is literally across the road. The car was parked in the Public Parking outside the Reggia as the hotel's own spaces were taken. As soon as you enter the beautiful, calm hotel foyer you forget all the hustle and bustle of the streets surrounding the building. Our room, which would have had a partial view of the Reggia but for current building works, was spacious, clean and comfortable on the third floor, with a lovely bathroom. There was no noise from the street below, but sadly a lot of noise came from the room next door to us during the night. Breakfast was plentiful, with plenty of local produce and the breakfast staff was very friendly. We'd definitely return if we wanted to make a return visit to the beautiful Reggia.…
