We took the suite with 500$ per night. We arrived at 1 for the check in , they told us that the room is still not ready knowing that we knew that it wasn’t used the day before. We came at 2 and when entering the room We smelled a very bed smell, i told the girl about it she told me im not smelling anything like it is coming from me 😀 we asked her please do something we will come back in 2h. We came back, nothing changed and a new staff was there. So we asked to change a suite, when we turn on the ac, we had the same problem in the new suite, we were fed up!! I was reading some reviews from years where many people mentioned the smell problem and since then nothing changed!!!!!!! With 500$ per night!!!! During breakfast, they put a 0.5 l bottle of orange juice in the buffet. So i asked the waters for more orange. After 5mn she filled the same small bottle and put it in the buffet, she asked me to fill it from the buffet where it was directly empty 😀 since another person used it 😉 so i waited again ….. instead of directly filling my glass ………
Very bad experience, not friendly at all. The rooms are not clean and the service is really bad. Unprofessional and disrespectful. It is overpriced although the location is good, all the rest is miserable. Finally, not kids friendly at all.
Lovely hotel with just a few rooms, quiet, not very busy, very well equipped rooms with full amenities and a coffee tea station. It is comfortable, within a walking distance of everything. It's right by the port so it's a perfect location for boat trips. The staff is very friendly. Highly recommend it.
What a wonderful destination in the heart of the old town of Batroun. 2 minutes walk from the port of Batroun, this Boutique Hotel has a very special charm. Lovely colorful rooms, great hospitality, tasty food and much more. Don’t miss it 💚
I have always supported local tourism and tried to visit various places in the country whenever it is possible. I had booked a stay for my family at L'Auberge de la Mer, Batroun on the 27th of October and paid a deposit of 120$ ( in usd). Needless to say that we couldn’t make it ( because of the current situation in the country: riots, closed roads, insecurity...)and was told that the deposit was non-refundable. Anyway, i checked again today whether the deposit will still be available for a few more months for us to use when the weather improves. The answer was clear: I have till December 31st otherwise, the money is gone. I thought for a split second to book a room this weekend only to find out that the rate is still ( although we are off season) 248$ without tax and it is posted in usd!!!! How can we support local businesses? This is outrageous and shameful to say the least! I will never set foot in that place and don’t recommend it to anyone!…
Very good boutique hotel, The rooms are very quiet and spacious. In keeping with its "boutique" spirit, the atmosphere is warmly welcoming and casual. The view from the hotel to the sea is breathtaking.
Our stay in L’auberge was just wonderful. It’s a true boutique hotel with unlimited attention to details. Impeccable clean. Staff very helpful and friendly. Food was fantastic and all of this just to mirror the spirit of the owners with whom We struck a spontaneous conversation that turned out to be genuine, constructive and fun. Highly recommended!!
Our expectations as per the reviews & the location were really high. Sadly, only the latter was faithful; We stayed there for 2 nights; The premises are really charming; It is an old house with several rooms displayed on 2 floors with a small Jacuzzi & bar at the rooftop; The bedrooms are nice; Bathroom is separated from the room with a glass door. Beds are comfortable (yet some of them feature small beds of 160cm), staff is kind. The breakfast is good & varied in a pleasant room overlooking the sea. Yet it all ends here.. Toiletries were poor & many shower bottles were used & left for use. Some of the bathroom towels were really tired. Cleanliness was not at the top as well. Common areas were hot (No AC on) and the main issue was the air conditioning in the rooms; the first night we faced an annoying water drop sound from the AC so we changed room; Unfortunately, we faced a far worse thing in the second one. An awful smell coming from the AC duct & probably from the fish restaurant underneath. The staff did their best to put nice smell in the room & ventilate it yet it kept always coming back once the AC is on; At the end, we were in a hurry to leave the place due to the discomfort we faced in it. The lack of Lebanese generous hospitality that you usually expect in this kind of boutique hotel, the lack of reaction & professionalism to deal with clients in the presence of owners & the misguidance at the time of the booking were so deceiving that our stay turned out to be total a flop. There is a huge room for improvement in order to meet at least the expensive rates requested; Would definitely not come back.…
Amazing stay at this special hotel. First the location is great, second the staff is amazing. The owners made sure every detail in the place is being thought and taken care of. We had the sunset room as per the staff recommandation and it was great. Nice terrace access to a nice outdoor jacuzzi... Definetly worth coming back ...
We had a dinner L’Auberge de La Mer during our week stay in Lebanon in late June (so the be clear this is review of the restaurant not of the affiliated hotel). This was our best dinner in Lebanon although its price was also some 50-100pc more than we paid for similar dinners in other restaurants in the country. The restaurant is part of new upmarket hotel-restaurant building near Batroun port. It has very high end feel and its fair to say it was most attractive restaurant we saw in Lebanon outside Beirut. We had modest three meal mezze to share with some drinks. All food was excellent. I particularly liked its salad with raw tuna. We paid about $90 – in other places we paid some $40-$70 for similar oreder. The restaurant seems quite popular with middle class Lebanese customers. No surprise. I would surely dine there regularly whenever in the area.…
