Me and my partner went for a romantic getaway mid December 2022. We took room number 5 with the cheese and wine (weekday) for which we paid 95$. Negative points: The room was small. Had a tile in the middle of it. The sheets of the bed were thin and not comfortable. There was a noise coming from the bathroom all night and the smell of sewage after flushing the toilet. The kitchenette was honestly a waste of space. They could have used the space for a bigger bathroom. The tiles of the floor were worn out. They only put one toilet paper in the bathroom, one small towel and 2 big ones. The cheese and wine was embarrassing. It consisted of a small portion of halloum, keshkawein and cheddar. There were tangerines on it which does not suit cheese and an ashta (custard apple) not ripe enough to be eaten (taking enough space and just for decoration) They put the cheese board in the mini fridge uncovered and not was fit to be eaten once we got to it. We left it as is in the fridge. They put a small plate of sourdough bread also uncovered on the counter of the kitchenette and was again unfit to be eaten. The wine was just okay. They said we had a private garden, but it was all open to each other as shown in the photos. Other than that, there wasn't any activities such as yoga, pizza or massage available at the time. Breakfast was also not included in the offer. But they offered a coffee and dessert from cafe younes for free. Positives: the garden is nice and full of tangerine trees from which we ate. The roof was beautiful where we practiced yoga by ourselves. It's 5 minute away from the old Batroun souk where we benefited from the Christmas market at the time. The concierge was very welcoming and hospitable.…
came for breackfast with the family and had a great meal . eggs with awarma ,manakish and the surprise was eating fresh mango from the tree . we had the zaatar saj , eggs in the special argile plate . cheese ,labneh , tea and water for 4 adults and 7 kids and we paid 70 thousand lira great value a must try.
Visited this place with a couple of friends for a weekend getaway. What I loved most is the garden area. It’s is so chill and relaxing. You can easily have your breakfast in the garden area where you can enjoy the summer breeze and just relax! The room was nice and cozy, but the bathroom could use some improvement.
The B&B is set in lovely gardens to enjoy breakfast and a wine at the end of the day. Room is very basic. Service is very very slow and we came back at the end of the day to find breakfast still sitting on the table from the morning. We were looking for something that had a nature touch and we were very happy in this regard. Service could definitely be improved.
Loved Mayouli, 5 minutes away form Batroun city center but when you're there you feel as if you are in traditional Lebanese mountain mini village. Rooms are pretty basic but this the concept of Mayouli, if you don;t like simplicity, stay somewhere else. Good WiFi. Tasty breakfast in the Garden. The cats will visit you to finish up anything you leave behind. So make sure you be nice and share your food ;) Enjoy your stay, 5 minutes away from the beach, you can have a nice long walk by the "beach highway", Visit city center and return to the quietness and simple living.
Whenever I crave some peaceful time, Mayouli is my destination for the ultimate relaxation without breaking my pocket. The rooms are all wood giving it a very cozy mood, all are equipped with AC, hot water, TV, mini fridge. The outer space around the bungalows is beautifully decorated with wood seats and tables and clementine trees where you can eat the fruits of the tree while relaxing on the hammocks. There's also a BBQ area and you can bring any kind of food with you. Ahmad who is always available will get you the charcoal and everything you need for your bbq. or will make you some tasty lebanese food (saj, eggs, and such..) all at great prices, you can also order hot/cold drinks or shisha while chilling in the garden. Highly recommended for Groups or couples.
We had stayed there twice ,once in 2014 and another in 2016 October. We had noticed a great changes in the place ,its cleaner and well organized the garden .The rooms are the same with little bit changes in the bathroom . they had the cleanest bed sheet I had ever seen, but unfortunately the maid didn't change bed sheets and we didn't ask her to do so,as the room is very small and there is not enough space to move around. Ahmad the guy there is very friendly and helpful.overall the place is nice for few days escape, but for sure not to pay 90$ per night ,because that is overprice ,but you can get it for less when there is offer from Go Sawa or Makhsoom.
In the mood for a local escapade, mayouli was one of the options as logically affordable B&B in Batroun. I would recommend adding more indications on the map and on the road itself, have the signs bigger and in brighter colors. The location is amazing, the setting of the cabinets is beautifully done and the recycled items into furniture adds a rustic touch to the place. Johnny our host welcomed us in a very nice way, he did not even impose the payment upon arrival. The room is good for two, however it could use adding a small cabinet, maybe put a boiler in the kitchenette and some cutlery. As for the bathroom, the shelf above the sink can be smaller, it was a challenge not to hurt the head each time we wanted to wash. Also consider adding more toilet papers, another towel, and a rug for the bathroom floor. The neighborhood is quite and the location is practical to go enjoy a night out yet come back and sleep in the calm. The morning breakfast could be better: we had the choice between labne or eggs, two types of manakish and a vegetable platter that was enough for one person only. I would recommend adding local jams for the sweet tooth and maybe a seasonal fruit : there are already ashta and orange trees in the place! Overall the stay was enjoyable, i hope they will consider the improvements suggested too!…
Staff is nearly non existent. How could a Lebanese breakfast go wrong: veggies not fresh. Coffee and tea from sachets. Manouche that's barely ok. Not generous and not worth it. A place to sleep and wake up the next day to leave.
Spent two nights and in spite of previous reviews telling us it was overpriced i thaught it was quite reasonable. Clean, neat, well thought, ac, wifi, nice garden. True that the housemaid will not smile but that was not the purpose of our week end in the first place. Ahmad the gentleman in charge takes care of your requests and lets you be the rest of the time. A 5 star combination .
