If you seek tranquility in the midst of nature, look no further. I was able to watch hummingbirds from my window every day, and there's a small forest which you can explore on the property. The cabins are spotless and comfortable, and there's recycling and green bin collection available. Also, you won't go hungry with the generous breakfast (mix of Costa Rican and Western foods) every morning. The staff are beyond accommodating. This hotel is best accessed by car but CV staff can help arrange local taxis. Big shout out to Brayan for making my stay super special! Highly recommended.

Hotel Campo Verde was just a nice as you see on their site. Great location, quiet, two restaurants in walking distance and good rooms. When weather is right, Arenal is in sight from your patio! Beds very firm, fridge and coffee maker in the room. Reception staff and breakfast room staff made us feel welcome.

It's hard to top the scenery at Campo Verde. Getting a glimpse of Arenal is a treat, but the grounds themselves are beautiful on their own. The bungalows are really charming--spacious bedroom/living area and hug bathroom, and ours was quite clean. The mini-fridge was unplugged (to conserve energy?) and didn't seem to respond when we plugged it in, but that was a minor concern. Bugs did make their way inside, but they stayed in the window areas and away from us. We loved sitting out on our porch to enjoy an afternoon rainstorm. The biggest downside for us was the distance from both La Fortuna and the Parque Nacional La Fortuna. We decided not to rent a car, and this hotel's location almost necessitates having a vehicle. We didn't mind taking taxis or Uber, but there were times when we didn't have cell data to get an Uber or we were in an area with no taxis around. This made transportation a little bit of a headache. Recommend having a car or only booking tours/activities that include transportation to and from the hotel.

We started our Costa Rica trip with three nights here and it is our favorite hotel from the trip! The location is far enough away to be peaceful but close enough to be convenient. The room was great and everything worked super for us. The view is incredible and the staff were great. Brian was very helpful and assisted us with booking outings. There are good restaurants within short walking distance. We would not hesitate to stay here again!

The hotel is located 5 mins outside La Fortuna town, in a quiet area with an amazing view of the volcano. The room was large and comfortable with a huge bathroom and was an independent unit. Breakfast was lovely and the staff were very helpful. Our bed was very comfortable and the room was very clean. There are 2 restaurants within walking distance both of which were very good. Would recommend if you want to go somewhere smaller with the personal touch.

The hotel was lovely. However, my laptop was stolen out of the room, even though it was out of sight. Since they are all separate units, it is easy for people to see if you are in your room or not since cars are parked outside of the rooms. Also, there is no good security. Brian at the front desk was helpful, as was the police, but the owner of the hotel treated us as a problem that wouldn't go away when we tried to figure out what happened. The groundskeeper said the window had been broken for 2 years. If you have no valuables this is a nice place to stay but beware of leaving anything in the room. A rainjacket was also stolen.

We just happened to drive by and stopped to see if rooms were available. We lucked out and Brian was very accommodating with suggestions around town, booking any tours we might have wanted, and provided a great cabana with excellent volcano views. Nice job team!

Those were my roommates exact words when we woke up in the morning at sunrise. We arrived late in the afternoon and the volcano was covered by clouds, so we had no idea that Arenal was right there! We were so excited when we woke up to see this majestic volcano literally in our backyard! The howler monkeys added to majestic mood of our first morning. I couldn’t stop taking pictures of that volcano. So beautiful! Oh! About the hotel! The hotel, not your typical hotel, but separate little houses, were so warm and welcoming with the tongue-and-grove wood walls and ceilings throughout. We had a little kitchenette and a very large bath area. There are outdoor patios too to watch the volcano. We also enjoyed the trail behind the hotel that took us on an adventure through the jungle. We saw cutter ants and beautiful foliage of all kinds. Breakfast was also delicious with several items to choose from. I can’t wait to return next year!

Great hotel in a really green environment in front of are all volcano. On a good day you’ll have a splendid view of the volcano. Be prepared that it rains a lot though, so many times you’ll just see thick clouds. Even when it’s raining it’s cosy to sit on the porch and watch birds and flowers in the lovely garden. They have a nice nature walk too nearby where you can spot local birds. The houses are cabin like, built with timber and can get a bit damp, even though I didn’t find this to be a problem

We stayed two nights here and were happy to be on the outskirts of the VERY busy downtown area of La Fortuna. The staff were very courteous and sweet, but not super helpful. Our air conditioner didn't work and they were unable (?) to do anything about it so my husband had to figure it out (fortunately he's handy like that). The second day, our toilet was clogged and the front desk person handed us a plunger. Not super pleased about that. That said, the cabins are clean & nicely kept, however simple. The trail on the property is a lovely addition, as long as you wear bug repellent! The breakfast was just OK and the coffee was not good.
