We have been going to the Lauriston for over 8 years and the hotel was in some desperate need of modernisation and updating. On our recent visit the first thing we noticed was the reception area looked more inviting and fresh due to the recant decoration. The positive changes continued throughout the bar, corridor and restaurant due to the removal of the hand rail. Within the restaurant there have been big changes, e.g. new cutlery and crockery which has a real modern twist to your dining experience. The stair gates have also been removed which adds to a more peaceful sleep as you now don't get 'bang' from the gate in the middle of the night. When staying at the hotel we always have breakfast + evening meal, the food is always very good and excellent value. This time most of our evening meals were prepared by agency Chef Ed whose skills took the dining experience up a notch. The presentation, taste and little extra touches did not go un-noticed. These were possibly some of the best meals we've had whilst staying at the Lauriston...and we visit around 2-3 times a year. The breakfast is always a high standard and the selection is always extremely good. We noticed even more variety to the continental choice, e.g. a variation of fresh Danish’s which went down a treat!! Thank you for all the help, care and time that the whole staff at the Lauriston put into our stay...you're an excellent team. See you soon

Hotel exceeded expectation. On sea front. Price included Breakfast & Parking. Courteous efficient reception from initial telephone contact onwards. Bit concerned on arrival as recent rain storms had blown rubbish into driveway/garden and it looked a bit sad. Inside another story . It is an older property but my well appointed single room was spotless, with a squeaky clean wet room style ensuite complete with hand rails. A comfy bed , good quality bed linen. Lift access. Menu for evening meal was varied and looked great value, sorry I was eating out! I didn't need breakfast as I had to leave very early but was offered a sandwich to take. As an elderly lady travelling alone that's a big thank you Lauriston. Please let me return even though I walked off with your key. its in the post.

The accommodation was excellent, the rooms were well equipped, nicely furnished, modern decoration ,modern up to date colour scheme. all very clean and well presented. The Staff very pleasant and helpful. The breakfast was excellent ,couldn't fault the service, nothing to much trouble for the excellent staff, Again the dinning room was nicely laid out, nicely decorated clean and tidy. I have stayed there previously and will no doubt stay again. It will be my first choice, based on my experience, it is excellent location , sea front only across the road. Strongly recommend giving it a try to anyone no matter of age or ability,The Lauriston caters FOR ALL.

Great price and proximity to the Playhouse attracted us. Lovely welcome, higgledy piggledy corridors which made a welcome change from the modern chain hotels, comfortable clean room with a very comfy bed and a view of the sea (ok, Bristol Channel) plus custard creams! The veggie full English the following morning was served in a lovely large dining room. We really enjoyed our stay and we think you will too.

we have been to this hotel about 4 times now. the people and staff make you very welcome but like everywhere else this hotel is in need of some TLC. We were fortunate to have a lovely decorated bedroom on the first floor. Our cleaner kept it clean and tidy. We were told that the hotel was owned by Weston Colledge so come on people do some decorating. Otherwise a lovely stay and was dog friendly as well.

We are very regular visitors to the hotel and would never stay anywhere else when visiting Weston. The location is excellent for all amenities and very short walk to the beech. I recently celebrated my 50th birthday with friends/family and had an excellent time and wouldn't have wanted to stay anywhere else. I know I wouldn't have received the amazing personal touch from any other hotel. A BIG thank you to Sarah who made my birthday breakfast extra special and one to remember!! Although the hotel is 'outdated' and in need of some TLC the staff more than make up for this as they are friendly, helpful, caring and you only need to ask and they will gladly assist if they can. A reliable source has informed us that there will be some modernisation and decorating in early 2024. we are extremely excited for are next visit (our 29h) and see these improvements for ourselves. Looking forward to seeing you all soon.

Rather disappointing night all round. Birthday night out with another couple .Ordered red tai curry and I basically was served up a ready meal !! The chicken but just so obvious it was a shop bought one absolutely tasteless with a few herbs on top to make it look authentic. Older waitress very stern and abrupt!!.Ordered more drinks which never arrived .Decidedl to head into sports bar for couple drinks ,I don't know why it's called a sports bar as there was only tvs and no pool table which we thought there would be . Over priced food very disappointing all round .

Hotel looks dated from outside.Evening meal could have more extensive menu.Parking tight but available. Room F18 a must.Staff friendly & hopeful, nice garden to sit out in and close to pier(not over impressed)and Playhouse theatre impressed.Rooms a bit pricey but would consider going again if visiting Weston.
