#1 of 3 hotels in Aberdovey
Travellers' Choice
The hotel is perfectly-positioned between the Snowdonian mountains and the Cambrian coast, just outside the pretty seaside village of Aberdovey (Aberdyfi in traditional Welsh). With panoramic sea views, the Trefeddian Hotel's accommodation is the perfect place to enjoy crisp mornings and sun speckled afternoons. Each of our 59 hotel bedrooms and three self-catering units are well equipped with all the modern comforts you need to feel right at home. We have a range of sea view and hill view bedrooms, with a lift to all floors. Quietly charming and traditional, the Trefeddian Hotel has been passed down the generations of the Cave-Browne-Cave family who firmly believe in 'good old-fashioned hospitality'. Nothing is too much trouble, just let us know any special requirements, we will do our very best to meet them. Being an award winning family friendly hotel, the Trefeddian is the ideal place for a family holiday in Wales, there is just so much to do, rain or shine!

Spent a week with 6 adults, 1 baby and 3 dogs in house number 5. It more than met our needs and is comfortable, a real home from home. The views are to die for, over the golf course and sea. Stones throw away from the beach, which rarely had people on. Hotel are very accommodating and we were able to use all of the facilities. Has everything you need and more and we would happily return!

Hotel's Favourite
We stayed for 5 nights about 1 week after reopening. The whole experience was exceptionally good, a comfortable 3rd floor room overlooking the golf course and sea, very efficient and friendly staff, Covid precautions were more than adequate without being irritating or intrusive. Really good breakfast. Food quality and menu range at dinner was excellent we were really spoilt for choice. Just what we needed!

Location perfect and excellent service with very well trained staff. The food was of very high standard. The way they conducted themselves throughout our stay with the Convid was unfaulted. Highly recommended

We enjoyed a five night, dinner, bed and breakfast stay in a sea view room in this very comfortable and well appointed hotel which is situated at the mouth of the Dovey Estuary and enjoys superb views over the local golf course and Cardigan Bay. The hotel management had obviously worked hard in preparing a detailed care plan to comply with COVID-19 restrictions. Our room was very comfortable and well appointed; the bathroom appeared to have been very recently up-graded. The housekeeping arrangements were exemplary. A special feature of the hotel is the 5 course evening meal. The standard of service and cuisine cannot be faulted and the breakfast menu is similarly extensive and includes smoked haddock and salmon as alternatives to the excellent full Welsh breakfast. The staff were unfailingly pleasant and helpful and we have already made a provisional booking for a return visit next year.

Just spent last week at the Trefeddian, the staff have done the most wonderful job in making the place safe during these very difficult times. As usual the staff make you feel so welcome and these days as I am now on my own they really look after you. The food is brilliant and beautiful presented, the restaurant staff are all so very helpful.nothing is too much trouble. There are plenty of hand cleaning stations all round the hotel. Once again I have to say that the management and all the staff have done a really good job to comply with all the restrictions that COVID-19 is imposing on us. Thank you very much for a lovely restful 5 nights.
