We spent 4 nights at Shoreside and it was obvious upon arrival that we were going to be treated to a really great stay when Jo spotted us arriving in the street outside and directed us into the car park. As we were getting out of the car, Andy came to us and insisted on taking our cases to our rooms!
The rooms were very well appointed with excellent bathrooms and the hospitality tray was great. There was also a small fridge with fresh milk and water.
Breakfast was incredible with fresh fruit, cereals, eggs Benedict, full English and the daily specials. Jo cooked everything to order and even baked pastries while we ate. To complete the experience there was also homemade jams and marmalade. While Jo excelled herself in the kitchen, Andy attended to everyone in the breakfast area with amazing cheerfulness.
We have decided that should we visit IOW again, we would definitely want to stay here again. We recommend Shoreside 100%

We had a text from the Shoreside inn informing us our room was ready for us and as we parked in the car park we were greeted by Andy, one half of what makes the Shoreside Inn tick!
Andy carried our bags in and we were introduced to the other half of the Shoreside, Andy's wife Jo. After a brief intro to breakfast and possible places to eat out Andy showed us to our room, we had chosen one of the balcony rooms at the top of the house, a large double room with a comfy double bed, two seater settee and a commanding view of the street and the open water of the English Channel.
The room offered a good size walk in shower with rain drop shower head and smaller spray and separate toilet room. The room was immaculately clean, in fact the every where in the building was immaculately clean.
Breakfast was superb offering typical full English or a choice of things. Jo had prepared a fresh fruit salad which I had with a fruit yogurt as well as a full English! Coffee and juices were offered we certainly didn't go hungry and then we were offered some Danish pastries to take away with us!
Andy is the face of the Shoreside, Jo is the engine, both non fussy and happy to do all to make you feel welcome.
One nice touch was having a small fridge in the room which was kept topped up with fresh milk and water, a great idea, it also housed a beer and a bottle of Rose...we supplied that!
There is a good chance we will return here. An excellent place.

I can honestly say that this B&B has got to be one of the best if not the best I've ever stayed in. We were greeted on our arrival by Andy who had already arranged a nice location to leave our motorbikes and helped us with our luggage. Andy then showed us to our lovely spacious twin room that had everything and more you could ever want plus a fantastic view of Shanklin sea front. Breakfast was amazing from start to finish with both Andy and his Wife Jo offering everything you could ever want for your breakfast and then warm pastries to go, who could want for more ? We had a fantastic weekend riding around the Isle of White which was made even better by Andy and Jo and their fantastic B&B. I will definitely be returning for another visit and will definitely recommend Shoreside to all family and Friends.

From the second we drove into the carpark we had positive vibes about Shoreside Inn. The room far exceeded our expectations: spotlessly clean, spacious, comfortable and an amazingly hot shower. The room was cleaned every day; the milk in the fridge replenished and there was always a variety of teas to choose from. The beds were very comfortable and having a view that looked out to the sea was the icing on the cake.
Breakfasts were always freshly cooked, the variety was vast and you could eat and eat. All guests were invited to walk out with a brown paper bag each morning containing a freshly cooked croissant - perfect for elevenses.
Nothing was too much for our two wonderful hosts; their knowledge of the IOW was huge and we really appreciated the guidance they gave us with regards cycle routes. Would not hesitate to recommend Shoreside Inn to our friends.

We’ve just got back from a 3 night break and would definitely recommend this place.
When we arrived and parked our car, Andy came out to welcome us and take our luggage. He then gave us a local map and told us all the places worth a visit, whilst Jo took our luggage to our room.
Our room was very large & had it’s own private balcony overlooking Shanklin beach and most importantly it was spotless. There’s tea & coffee in the room, with a mini fridge containing fresh milk and water which are replenished daily.
Breakfast was really tasty and made to order, beautifully presented with specials every day and thick cut toast and home made jam, and afterwards there are fresh baked pastries to take away.
This place is definitely worth a visit.

Thanks again Jo and Andy for your hospitality!

Andy & Jo, perfect hosts at this adults only Shanklin B&B which has a distinct advantage of off street parking in a decent sized car park.
We had the Gambles room at the top of the house with its own private balcony overlooking the sea that is just across the road, so close that the sound of the waves offer a serene calmness when going to sleep at night.
Good selection of offerings for breakfast with tea, coffee and fresh milk in the room that includes a mini fridge Would have preferred biscuits to jelly beans but fortunately had bought our own, though had we wanted some, I'm sure it wouldn't have been an issue.
Only two minor criticisms, personal preference, would have been good to have a wider bed and a dressing table in the room which had room to accommodate both.

Absolutely, without doubt, the perfect place to stay in Shanklin. Andrew and Jo do everything they can to welcome you, and make your stay enjoyable, the rooms are spotless, and provide everything you need, fresh milk, and water in your own little fridge, top class teas and coffee’s. Breakfast is superb, all fresh cooked and high quality ingredients, the little bag of danishes to take away for later is very thoughtful. Can’t recommend enough

We cannot score this b&b highly enough! From the moment we arrived Jo and Andy made sure we had everything we needed and were so friendly and helpful. The room was amazing snd well equipped with a mini fridge and fresh milk every day and had a beautiful sea view. Breakfast was perfect with warm pastries to take away to eat later in the day. We visited over Easter and every table had Easter eggs for the guests on Easter Sunday. 10/10, if you are planning to stay in Shanklin, stay here. We will be back!

We have been coming to the Isle of Wight for many many years and this B&B is truly an exceptional place. Andy & Jo looked after us from the moment we arrived until the time we left. Nothing was ever too much trouble, excellent food (tasty pastries were a nice touch) and excellent cleanliness in a beautiful room.

Per room, phone Andy and Jo directly for best price, don't go through booking agency.

Hi Jo, yes we do have a ground floor rooms available. This winter we have taken out the bar & restaurant and converted into two rooms. They both have ensuite shower rooms (not wet room), beautiful sea views and also their own private sun terrace. The new breakfast room is also on the ground floor. There is one step from the car park into the hotel. If you would like to discuss further or have any questions or queries then please contact us directly on 01983861393. These new rooms are not available to book online at the moment only direct through us . We are due to reopen for the season on Friday. Regards, Jo
