Stayed in classic room which was really nice, immaculate clean and spacious. Check in was brilliant and super welcoming. Had dinner at charcoa which was yummy. Didn't try SPA but will definitely return to check it out. All staff are very professional and helpful. Thanks everyone for making us feel welcome and special.

The tree houses are superb. The food at Fusion is very good, worth the visit just for that. This would have been 5 out of 5, but for a fee small things. Parts of the hotel need updating, the sign outside reception for example is not in keeping with somewhere charging thus much per night. You can't order spirits to the tree houses. So, if you get a cheaper room in the main hotel, you get better service. Understand the issue with transporting glasses with measures in them, but surely miniatures would solve this?

We stayed at Ramside 1night for a birthday and anniversary and booked the "Make My Stay Spa Break" offer almost 8 weeks before date of arrival staying in the Junior Suite. Before booking I'd queried if my wife could have both spa treatments and I was told yes. Happy with that I made the booking and then emailed to query available times for the treatments. The next day I started to receive emails confirming dinner and breakfast bookings into the Fusion Restaurant which wasn't requested and confirmation that the spa treatments were booked. Another email came advising that the spa treatments were booked for a specific time as there were no other times available. Fair enough I thought, I couldn't change it to a different time so it got left as the hotel/spa had booked it. We arrived for 12pm to make use of the spa and there was ample parking on site. Upon registering at the Spa we found out the booking for treatments had been made so both treatments were to be completed at the same time. We had to stand around for 10-15mins whilst the staff tried to sort the booking so my wife could get both the treatments that had been requested. As it was taking so long the staff gave us our access bands and said they would catch up with us once it was sorted. The access key to get into the spa it wasn't working, so pool side staff had to let us through. The spa itself was really nice, relaxing and clean. The staff were able to sort the treatment booking times to run consecutively. Our room was on the ground floor. The room was spacious, well decorated and clean. I noticed the french doors were open slightly but this could have been easily missed. Whilst I was sorting the door I saw a cigarette burn in the curtains despite the rooms being no smoking. The food in the Fusion restaurant was tasty however the service was too quick and hardly left any time between courses. The staff were friendly but they were running about all night. The sleep in the room wasn't great. I was awoken at 1am to a bang from someone in the room above and then didn't get back to sleep till 3.30am. Just after 4am the phone in the room started ringing and I was awake again. At checkout we said we weren't happy about the phone ringing and were told that there was a fault on the telephone system and some rooms were mistakenly called, no discount was offered for the inconvenience. I don't think I would rush back for another stay anytime soon.

Very disappointing Afternoon Tea on Saturday 23 March 2024. Ordered the vegetarian option and was absolutely horrified to receive a quiche with bacon in. I first queried this when the quiche arrived at the table, but I was reassured by two members of staff the quiche that had been served to me was definitely vegetarian with no meat. Having been a vegetarian for many years, I was almost physically sick when I tasted bacon. I alerted a member of staff to explain the issue who apologised and reassured me they would bring me a vegetarian quiche. After 15 minutes, the member of staff advised that unfortunately they could not provide a vegetarian quiche due to 'cross contamination'. I found this quite unbelievable as I am sure the chef had the facilities in the kitchen to cook another quiche separately, particularly given the size of the kitchen! Instead I was offered two additional finger sandwiches as a replacement. Although the staff apologised and offered a 25% discount on the cost of my Afternoon Tea and another 25% discount on the two bottles of Prosecco (even though I don't drink alcohol and hadn't ordered the bottles), this was certainly not enough of an apology in my opinion. I will certainly not be going back to Ramside Hall. If you are a vegetarian, then I would advise you to check your food twice before eating.

The place has recently been refurbished and it looks lovely. We've been quite a few times for Sunday lunch and the decor change of about a month ago makes it better than it was, and it was already nice. The food is lovely and the resident piano player makes it 'different' and better than other places. It's more expensive than a lot of places, but the surroundings are very nice. Our one complaint is the fact that the food is never hot like it should be, which is 'normal' for a buffet service, but it's not even warm and it could be ! The other restaurant where table service is provided is only ever warm, too, and it's a pity because this would make a difference to the enjoyment, and my four star rating instead of a five.

We arrived at Ramside hall hotel Monday 25th March, check in was quick and easy..we were shown where we could charge our electric car and taken up to the wonderful A frame Robin treehouse. The treehouse is beautiful. The luxurious decor is elegant and warm, it’s like stepping into a huge hug. The treehouse is set across two floors, with a lovely spiral stair case connecting the two. Upstairs is a huge queen size bed and stunning bathroom with a walk in shower, copper bath, basin, desk, and wardrobe space. The lighting is sublime. The best feature is the view from the upstairs level over the estate. On the ground floor, the open plan kitchen and living room have all you need to make your stay home from home. The fold down double wall bed is brilliant for sharers. The comfy L shape sofa, was wonderful and so cozy on a night with the fire on. The kitchen has a giant American style fridge, all cupboards are kitted out with crockery and cutlery. There’s also a coffee maker and a microwave oven. Double doors lead out on to the extensive balcony which hosts a barrel wooden sauna, hot tub, daybed and a bamboo table and chairs. The hot tub was fantastic, and we loved sitting with a glass of bubbles whilst chatting and watching the wildlife on the grounds. There’s two big wall mounted tvs one upstairs and one in the living room, which you can connect to via blue tooth to play your own music via the sound bar. The spa is second to none, the staff are fantastic and the facilities are unreal. Two steam rooms one, aroma, one Himalayan salt bath are wonderful. The hydro pool is vast and there’s always room on the beds surrounding it to chill out.We got lucky with sunshine and the outside jacuzzi was momentous. The large pool is fab if you fancy doing a few lengths and the wooden saunas are lovely, one over looks the outside space and is gorgeous. We booked the infinity pool on the roof for the evening with some cocktails, we loved that, afterwards we zoned out in the relaxation room on a combination of massage beds and water beds which were the ultimate in helping us feel so relaxed. We finished off the night in the fusion restaurant, the food was excellent. We had a spot of lunch in there in our robes from the spa, earlier the day and that was also fantastic. We left the next day after a lovely breakfast in the charcoal room and a quick trip to the spa throughly spoiled and so relaxed. We wait to go back again !
