hotel lovely clean and warm bring in a fantastic location for walking into town . The only gripe i would have is around the bar prices which are far too expensive. The meals were lovely and especially breakfast as you can just help yourself to whatever you want from a wide selection of hot and cold menu . Would go back though just avoid the bar !

Hotel's Favourite
My wife and I fancied a couple of days stay in Durham to see the sights. Booked the Radisson because it was so central. On arrival the receptionist (Martine) could not have been more pleasant and really got our stay off to the best possible start. The location is great as you can easily walk to the cathedral and all the other items of interest. The room was lovely, dinner both nights in the hotel was excellent and overall I can not think of anything to complain about.

Location of the hotel is fab, easy to walk into the city centre. The ease of following signs to the location was a bonus too. Staff available and personable. Breakfast was plentiful and rooms comfortably furnished. Only negative was the pricy parking, but on site so negated the cost.

The parking at the hotel was excellent and saved us having to find other places to park. The check in staff were friendly and courteous. We had a lovely room overlooking the river. The king size bed was very comfortable and the room temperature was pleasant all the time. The menu in the restaurant was limited but the food was tasty. The breakfasts were exceptional. There was so much choice. We loved that breakfasts were available until 11.00 a.m. and check out time was midday so we were really able to relax and enjoy our mornings. To be able to walk into the city and enjoy the Christmas market and the castle and cathedral was such a bonus. We will definitely come again.

Hotel is very good, check in went very smoothly and pleasantly our room overlooking the river was very nice and clean with all you need. The restaurant was a different story, when we were seated and both looked at the menu we looked at each other with a puzzled expression on our faces, the menu was all over the place with no flow to the meals. We both chose to have steak which arrived in good time and was enjoyable. We were both pleased with our choice as all around us people were having problems with their meals, missing, late and undercooked, we declined deserts at that point and then we both decided on our next stay we would eat out.

Got a free upgrade to river view! Beautiful place! Modern and stylish hotel and such helpful staff. Great location. The rooms were spacious & very clean/comfortable. The pool/jacuzzi/steam/sauna were top quality. The breakfast buffet had everything we wanted/vast choice and made the stay good value. Grazina and the other staff were very quick at bringing extra items to us.

There was some mistake with my payment ( I prepaid prior to my arrival ) but your receptionist insisted it was’nt & I paid again ! Was rectified next day when I questioned receptionist. (Hopefully, waitout)

Pleasant hotel, welcoming staff. The rooms are adequate, clean and nice toiletries, tea and coffee. BE AWARE they charge £14 per 24 hrs for parking but there's an NCP car park next door for only £6.95 per 24 hrs But if you're a national trust member there's a car park 4 minutes away walking.

Warm welcome on arrival. Very convenient for the town. Room was clean, although bottled water was in short supply. Shampoo and conditioner are gorgeous. Food was first class. Dining staff were excellent, friendly and helpful especially Jamie who took the time to make sure we had everything we needed.
