We are coming to the end of a fantastic weekend in one of the Marina apartments. Well equipped, modern, spotlessly clean and very warm & cosy. The beds were very comfortable and all three rooms were ensuite. We would come again and can thoroughly recommend it.

Dear Dave H It's great to hear that you have returned to stay with us again for a third time! All of our properties are un-serviced which we feel allows our guests to holiday as they want to - rather than being disturbed by staff during there stay. The charges that we make for refreshing bed linen and towels are non-profit making and offered as an additional service however for stays of 10 nights or more we offer a complimentary towel and linen change. I hope to welcome you to Windermere Marina Village again soon.

Hi Sara, all of our apartments have washing machines. The Cottages don’t but we have a laundry on site that you can access.

There is a lot to do in the area. We were with our two young grandchildren, so we did family things. There is the Beatrix Potter Exhibition in Bowness, Beatrix Potter`s house at Hilltop, Sawrey, the boat cruise across Lake Windermere to the Aquarium from Bowness, Muncaster Castle and Birds of Prey Centre ( a 50 minute drive away ). Bowness itself is a 10 minute walk along the very pretty designated lakeshore path ( completely safe for children ) from the public car park on the opposite side of the road to Windermere Marina Village.

It’s about a ten minute walk. However, the on-site marina bar is excellent.
