Welcome to New Park Manor, a luxury family and dog friendly spa hotel in the New Forest. Relax in our spa, play croquet on the lawn, enjoy afternoon tea on the terrace or some family time in our gardens. New Park Manor offers the perfect destination for anyone wishing to explore and appreciate the unique mosaic of woodland, heathland and wetland that comprise the ancient landscape of the New Forest. The New Forest, Britain's most popular national park, was created by William the Conqueror in 1079 as a royal hunting area. In 1611, King Charles II chose New Park Manor as his favourite hunting lodge and his royal coat of arms is still displayed prominently above the fireplace in our award-winning Stag Restaurant. New Park Manor was carefully adapted for use as a country house hotel with 25 bedrooms and opened in 1970. Interesting details such as acorns and oak leaf patterned doors and original furniture and fireplaces can still be seen throughout the building. These commemorate the debt owed by King Charles to the oak tree which hid him from Cromwell's men on his escape to France in 1651. Today, New Park Manor is a beautiful, stylish country hotel, where the traditions of days gone by still live on and many original features can still be seen around the hotel. Bedrooms range from the splendor of our Muntjac our signature Family Suite to the contemporary style of our Forest rooms. Over recent years, our facilities have expanded to include a heated outdoor pool, croquet lawn, and our award-winning Spa which included a heated indoor pool and outdoor Canadian hot tub overlooking the New Forest.

The hotel's amenities, including child-friendly facilities and a high-quality spa and pool area, consistently impress guests.
While the rooms are praised for their comfort and family-oriented design, the value proposition receives mixed reviews due to concerns over food costs and service charges. Notably, the establishment upholds high cleanliness standards across the board, and the service is generally regarded as attentive, especially for families, despite occasional slow meal service.

We had such a wonderful stay at New Park Manor with our 2 year old girls, we can’t wait to return! The pre arrival information was really helpful with opportunities to request child friendly items for the room (bed guards, potty etc) and we felt at home from the moment we arrived. The room was beautifully decorated and spacious even with extra beds, and there were so many thoughtful touches such as tiny dressing gowns for the kids, a lovely book and some animal masks. The refurbishment has been done to a really high standard and every space was spotless, including the pool and outdoor playground which the children loved. The grounds are wonderful and we loved going to see the horses, deer and huge pet rabbit. We had two really nice meals in the restaurant but much like the sister hotel (Moonfleet), the food service can be slow so allow plenty of time for a meal. The breakfast was tasty and the staff were friendly, but both mornings the hot food had run out when we arrived at 8:30 and was very slow to replenish (over 15 minutes) which impacted the experience slightly but wasn’t really a big deal. Overall we had a wonderful stay here in part due to the amazing facilities but also the wonderful staff who just ‘get’ how challenging holidays with toddlers can be made us feel at home- we will definitely be back!

What a brilliant hotel for families! We just got back from a 2 night stay and came home feeling fully relaxed, which isn't always the case when travelling with an almost 2 year old. Our little boy loved the kids club, as well as the cinema/games room and swimming pool. The room was super comfortable and had everything we needed, including cot, bottle service etc, and the family restaurant had a great kids menu. We also loved the fact we could have some time to ourselves of an evening using the provided baby monitor to go for dinner - on this note, while the food is good, we wouldn't say the quality is what you might expect for the prices (average £15 for a starter, and £25 for a main). The hotel is in a beautiful location in the New Forest, it was nice to go for a walk and see the deer, horses etc. We had a brilliant stay and will definitely be back!

Dear 77jennyw77, Thank you for your wonderful review! We're absolutely delighted that you left feeling relaxed—no small feat when traveling with a nearly two-year-old! It’s fantastic to hear that your little one made the most of the kids' club, cinema room, and pool, while you got to enjoy some well-earned grown-up time over dinner (the magic of baby monitors!). We appreciate your feedback on the dining experience and will certainly take it on board—we always strive to make sure our food is as impressive as the rest of the stay. And yes, the New Forest truly is a special backdrop—there’s nothing quite like a morning stroll with the local wildlife as your companions. We’d love to welcome you all back soon for another brilliant stay (and perhaps an even more relaxing one—dare we say, with a fully sleeping toddler?). Until next time! 😊 Best wishes, Byron

This was our third time staying here, and it has really improved since our first two visits. The spa / pool decking area has been extended, there's an additional outdoor pool, and the gardens have been superbly landscaped with new play equipment added. The overall experience at the hotel has also improved . There were some lovely details, like a personalised welcome message for our children on arrival in their bedrooms, and name plates pre-arranged on the table at dinner times. The kids' club was well run and cinema evenings with popcorn is another nice touch.
Generally the staff are much better organised than on our previous visits, and conspicuously polite and helpful, even at pressurised meal-times when the dining rooms are very busy. It makes a real difference to have service with a genuine smile rather than a scowl. The one gripe that remains from our previous visits is the slow service at mealtimes. Sitting down to a pre-booked 7pm dinner for children but the first food not arriving until 7:40pm is not good enough given the price-point of the hotel.

Dear ReviewerTC, Thank you so much for your continued loyalty to New Park Manor and for sharing your feedback on TripAdvisor. We’re absolutely thrilled to hear that you’ve noticed such significant improvements since your earlier visits. The extended spa and pool decking area, along with the new outdoor pool and enhanced gardens, have certainly been exciting additions—and we're glad to know they've met with your approval! It’s wonderful to hear that the personalised touches for your children, the well-organised kids' club, and those cinematic popcorn evenings have added to your overall experience. We're especially proud that you found our team more organised and ever-smiling, even during those busy dining times. After all, a genuine smile is a lot more effective than a forced one, and certainly easier to maintain! However, we regret that the slow service during mealtimes remains an issue. Please know we’re continuously working on refining our operations, especially during those critical times when little ones are eagerly awaiting their dinner. We understand the importance of punctuality, especially with young children in the mix, and we're reviewing our processes to improve this. Our teams aim for perfection, but we appreciate that getting it quicker is just as important. Once again, thank you for your constructive feedback and for choosing New Park Manor for your family stays. We’re already looking forward to welcoming you back for your next visit, where we aim to exceed your expectations further. Best wishes, Byron

Myself and a friend booked the roast dinner and spa day offer and had the most wonderful day. Every member of staff was very welcoming and friendly and we sat in the lounge for a coffee before going into the restaurant for our Sunday lunch. Our offer included a 2 course meal (you could pay extra for 3 courses) and we both opted for the roast dinner which was more than special and cooked to perfection. For dessert my friend had a peach crumble with custard and I had a really light and delicious bread and butter pudding with ice cream. After lunch we went to the spa where we were given a towel, dressing gown and slippers and spent the rest of the day in and out of the jacuzzi which had wonderful views and the swimming in the pool. The hydrotherapy pool was a bit chilly but we just went to the jacuzzi every time we needed to warm up. They do have steam and sauna rooms which we forgot to use but it's nice for people to know if they do enjoy them. The whole day went by far too quickly and we wouldn't hesitate to book and do it all again one day.

We often come to The New Forest in the school holidays but often struggle to find a nice hotel with a pool, a family bedroom and a place that allows dogs. This hotel ticked all those boxes! Our bedroom was a large double with an interconnecting twin room next door where our teenage children slept, this worked well. Rooms were spacious and clean. Great views looking across fields of deer and horses. If we wanted to eat meals in the hotel we needed to be in the restaurant away from the ‘family’ restaurant. Which was absolutely fine by us as that room was very noisy with very excited children! Our children being 14 and 17 were more mature and we all appreciated being away from the hectic environment! We had dinner one night in the hotel, children had burgers and us adults had steak, all was delicious. The price we paid was what you would expect from a hotel. Breakfast was included in our stay, continental was served in the ‘family’ room but we could take this into the other quieter restaurant and could order from the hot breakfast menu- great selection to suit us all. We made full use of the indoor pool, hot tub and the outside pool. The hotel is very child friendly - there were many young children there when we were. One thing I do wish is that parents took a little more control over their children and not let them run around the hotel, especially in the bedrooms where we could hear each morning and at night. I think our dog was better behaved than some that stayed there! The hotel was situated in a quite part of the New Forest, with lots of lovely walks around. It’s a short drive into Brockenhurst where you will find a Tesco, plenty of pubs and restaurants. We had an enjoyable stay at this hotel and would highly recommend to ours.

We stayed as a family of 4 and it was our first hotel stay with our boys as I’ve always been nervous of a hotel with our youngest having several allergies. Right from the moment I booked I was reassured by the booking team that they could accommodate my son’s allergies. When it got close to our visit the head chef for the hotel telephoned me and then on arrival I spoke with the deputy manager Chris. Chris was excellent, he listened to my son’s requirements and then went off to speak with the kitchen staff. To our amazement we could order many choices from the children’s menu and he had plenty of options for breakfast also. The chef Anna came to also introduce herself and further put me at ease. Chris then ensured all staff were aware and so we didn’t have to repeat everything at each mealtime. For us this made the world of difference and to be able to have 4 nights just enjoying our children and our child free time thanks to the den was just simply wonderful and much needed. You have something very special at your hotel and we all cannot wait to return. All staff were friendly, helpful and polite and it was so lovely to be somewhere so nice but also so child friendly. Our boys really enjoyed their sessions in the den and the cinema in the evenings. We all enjoyed the pools, especially the outdoor pool which we were lucky enough to use on two sunny days. The spa is also lovely and thanks to the den sessions we both really enjoyed the outdoor hot tubs reading a book. The hotel is really clean and the little landing areas with games/books are also a lovely touch for family time. Special thanks go to Chris, Jasmine on reception, Anna the chef and Jenny-our waitress for most of our stay who was brilliant with the boys and so helpful going above and beyond. Thank you so much, we really hope to be back soon.

My family and I got together after a long time to celebrate my sister's 50th birthday – I had previously stayed at this hotel with my husband and children, and we were looking for somewhere special but not too formal. We were a big group (16) but the hotel staff were more than obliging with a pre-booked lunch party in their Vinery restaurant. They clearly took a lot of pride in how they set the room and table up, and were very communicative before, during and after the lunch, making sure everyone was happy and that the little details weren't overlooked. We're not a quiet group, but the room, with direct access out to the garden, was perfect for us. The food was delicious and drinks tabs easy to set up. The only feedback for improvement would be that the vegan menu could do with a few more options. But the day was a resounding success, and most importantly, my sister felt very special. Thank you so much to this lovely hotel!

Booked this spa day for my fiancé’s birthday as part of a trip away to the New Forest.
We had to reschedule at short notice due to Covid isolation which was accommodated really smoothly by the hotel and we really appreciated.
Afternoon tea on arrival was great and included a wide selection of sandwiches and sweet treats.
However the whole experience was ruined once we headed into the spa as the pool area, where the majority of spa facilities are located, was overrun with small children.
Whilst the hydro pool and saunas/steam room are designated for 16+, firstly this wasn’t adhered to and secondly, as they are in the same room as the pool, the noise of kids running and splashing around meant the age restriction had no impact.
I had booked this as a relaxing spa day for us to spend as a couple - I am currently pregnant and we are keen to spend quality time together before our little one arrives. In addition, as I am pregnant the pool and sun loungers are pretty much all I can use at the moment - but I couldn’t and felt uncomfortable as a result of all the kids.
Not at all relaxing, and was not advertised as a spa day where children would also be present otherwise I would not have booked. I have never been to a spa where children are allowed before.
Ultimately felt that I paid a lot of money for an experience which wasn’t what I signed up for. Would not recommend or return.
Note that other reviews have made similar comments - would suggest that the hotel could have set hours of the day where children are allowed in the pool which are outside the hours of spa day packages!

Dear E9343CVellenm, Thank you for your review of your recent visit to New Park Manor for a spa day. I am pleased to read of the positive aspects of your visits, however sorry to read of your disappointment regarding New Park being a family focused property. It was during school holidays during your last visit, which will mean that we will have more children enjoying our hotel and its facilities. Being part of Luxury Family Hotels, we do make clear our family focus, this does not always translate through when booking through a third party though (apologies I am unable to determine how you booked from your username). The team will be delighted to advise you on quieter periods when next you choose to visit us, so that we are able to better meet your expectations. We do monitor the use of the hydrotherapy pools, and as such experience feedback in relation to children not being able to utilise them. I hope that we have the opportunity to welcome you back to New Park Manor soon. Best wishes, Byron

My wife and I came here back in march 2020, we had a spa day booked and were looking forward to it, unfortunately a baby made a mess in the pool, so the hotel refunded everyone, gave each couple a complimentary dinner and offered a free treatment and nights stay.
Fast forward through covid to October 2021. My wife and I were given a free 1 hour treatment each and a free nights stay, we also had £70 to spend on our dinner courtesy of the hotel.
The treatment was amazing so relaxing and much deserved cant fault the the massages. We then went to use the pool and steam rooms etc.. but this is where there lies a problem, the facilities are fine but because this is a family hotel you have lots of screaming children running around. So you go from a relaxing massage to a room full of screaming kids splashing in the pool running in and out of the steam room sauna etc... so it just spoils the whole relaxing feel.
We then went to our room, dont get me wrong we got got this room for free but knowing how much this place charges I would expect a cleaner more up to date room, it was very dusty and the furniture had seen better days.
We now go for our meal, again they gave us upto £70 for free for the dinner and we ended up spending £108 including the £70. I was so disappointed the food isnt the best, not alot of flavour, the chicken was very tough my wine glass was dirty and the restaurant was dirty and dusty in fact my wife was sitting next to a dead fly, very disappointing knowing how much this place costs to stay and eat. We cant fault the staff all of which are friendly and helpful, the hotel is going to be building a separate spa for adults only so some of these issues should get resolved. Not worth the money they are asking, we would be even more disappointed if we had paid full price.

We recently spent the past weekend at New Park Manor Hotel for our work annual retreat. From the moment I arrived I felt a genuine warmth from the entire team. The decor was beautiful and the communal areas were incredibly relaxing.
The team at New Park Manor spent the weekend hosting us and were faultless. Nothing was too much trouble and attention to detail was meticulously executed. From front of house to F&B to the Spa team!
I’m incredibly grateful for the experience from start to finish and can’t recommend the hotel enough.
