Looked nothing like the photos, service was terrible and was promised riverside view, wasn’t luxurious or riverside at all wouldn’t recommend this place even though it looks good on the photos the location wasn’t close to city and in a pretty dodgy area

We stayed in an apartment via Airbnb and what a place. Yes to gain access is a bit of a pain with security doors but once you are in you are in for a treat. What a view over the River Tyne and bridge, Easy access into the City. Secure parking.

A Lot More than a Disappointment Believing the 5*reviews and ‘luxurious’ description I decided to splash out and treat myself to this flat for a 4 night stay. On my arrival, tired after my journey, I wanted to just relax and sit on the balcony. Where do I begin with what greeted me? A very sticky entrance lobby should have alerted me, but then I found that the balcony door handle was broken off, the balcony floor was stained and dirty with a couple of empty condom packets on it and cigarette butts. Then I looked at the bed: there were toothpaste & makeup stains on the pillows & sheets, I stripped off the base sheet to find a really disgusting mattress topper with blood & other nasty looking stains on. Next I found large dark stains on the carpet and a big wet patch in the seating area. The carpet had obviously not been hoovered as there were lots of crumbs on the floor by the sofa and lots of bits on the carpet in all areas. There was even some dried pasta behind a cushion on the sofa. In the kitchen there were bits of food in the grill pan, and a filthy pair of oven gloves. In the bathroom I could hardly believe that a dirty, stained toilet roll had been left on the holder. It took over an hour to find (and photograph) all this. I had to make a couple of phone calls to the owner about this , and after a while she phoned to say she couldn’t come but would send her cleaner over in half an hour. I can’t say I had much faith if this was the “cleaner”. She came & I left for a short walk to give her space. When I returned she had left the door unlocked so that anyone might have walked in, stolen my case, or worse. The owner had said she couldn’t come herself until around 9pm with a fresh mattress topper and pillows to make up the bed. Meantime, this all took about 3 hours to sort out and I had been forced to put back a dinner reservation with a friend to get it all sorted. When I got back from dinner the bed had been made up and doorhandle fixed but I understandably felt uneasy about both the security issue and the cleanliness of the flat generally. I had hoped to eat in while staying but was totally put off. Later, I sent the owner a few pictures and told her about the security issue. I didn’t receive any reply. I got on with my trip and then wrote again to the owner on my return from further travel, and ironically she responded that she was on a family holiday and didn’t consider this merited an immediate reply! Well, it had been my holiday too…. Understandably I would not recommend this flat but do check out the photos and decide for yourself.

Beautiful modern apartment, very stylish, with everything you could possibly need. Lovely views from the little balcony. Really enjoyed our two days in Newcastle. Would definitely recommend this apartment.

Please beware of booking this property. I am still chasing the return of my £200 deposit 6 weeks after staying. I’ve had several promises that the refund was being ‘processed’ but it never appears to actually reach me. Communication is difficult, calls and emails go largely unanswered. Booking.com have been made fully aware of the situation and I’m awaiting an update from them. As for the apartment itself, the property is simply not maintained and there are pigeon droppings covering the whole balcony, rather ruining the ‘stunning views’ headline. See pictures attached. I have seen several negative reviews on several social media sites relating to deposits being taken but never refunded.

After we booked our card was charged an additional £200 as a "deposit" which was never mentioned - 3 months later we are still fighting to get this money back! We booked as a last minute trip and were instantly put off by the terrible customer service. We didn't once see the face of the man dealing with our booking - and in hindsight we see why. Going in the place looked lovely, but a quick look showed everything. It was filthy, shelves and door handles were literally hanging off, the boiler was leaking, there was almost no kitchen stuff and the things that were there were dirty. The bedding was covered in hair and crumbs, there were wires hanging out of the walls... The window in the bedroom was broken and didn't close (see last pic) which left the room freezing on one of the coldest nights of the year - the radiator was also broken so we couldn't warm up! Also, when we went to use the shower it went ice cold after 3 minutes - we had to boil water in kettles and pans to pour in the bath in order to wash. Honestly, this is the worst place I've ever stayed, everything about it was horrific. We were there for two nights and seriously considered coming home after the first. This was booked through Booking.com who say the owners of the apartment have now disconnected their phone line - so they have removed this apartment from the site - even so, it is something to be aware of.

My Apartment for 3 months ! was well enough furnished and had all amenities needed to live daily, down to the dish clothes. Clean, reasonable well furnished and good size bed and tv. Bed was comfortable and the rooms were a good size. The view I had was of a garage and an old granary building .. well if I strained I can see 10 sqm of the Tyne ( maybe that not a bad thing) and a little of the Millennium Bridge at the top only. Having said that each apartment will have different views .. the higher the better but I did note only one means of stairwell escape is in each block. The blocks are conveniently close to walk to town, railway station or Gateshead Metro station. Nearest bar is in Jury hotel 3 mins walk away. Very occasionally a hen or stag party would make excessive noise but I believe management is trying to stop very short term rentals. owise no issues

Well situated apartment near the centre of Newcastle just at the millennium bridge. The apartment itself was satisfactory although needed brushing up on some finishing touches, eg wall heaters in living room not working, sockets coming away from wall in various places, no place to hang wet towels for 4 people, insufficient bowls for us all to eat breakfast at the same time, no bedside light (lots of broken ones in cupboards). Otherwise, light and airy, modern and really well located. For the price, I’d return.
