Firstly, don’t rely on satnav, it takes you to a dead end! Use google maps. Comfortable room, good amenities, free wifi. Food good; stayed on a Tuesday evening and couldn’t believe how busy they were considering they wouldn’t get passing trade.

This was an awesome find as we spent the day at the Beamish Museum. We checked in late afternoon and the hotel itself was awesome. We had dinner in the restaurant and the meals were plentiful and tasty. Parking on-site at no charge was a bonus

2 night stay over to visit Beamish museum on our way further North. A bit off the beaten track, but everything you need is here. Room very clean and comfy, mattress a bit on the soft side for us, but that's just our preference. Nice breakfast and great choice of meals and drinks on the evening. Staff were brilliant to a man/woman, they all did their upmost to make your stay enjoyable and local information was great. Felt like we'd been coming here for years as we were made to be part of the family, nothing was too much trouble for anyone. Highly recommended if you're in the area for a stop over or just a meal. Plenty of parking as well.

What a great find this was. Yep it was cheap but also very cheerful, super clean and great food. I would be nit picking for faults. Perfect for Beamish or for base to explore the NE. I'm sure I will be returning thank you for a fabulous comfy nights stay

Stayed here for 1 nite after a trip to Beamish with my Mum, Partner and Son. Service was 100 percent all the staff were lovely and made sure we were looked after from start to finish. We had a meal here aswell and we couldn't fault it. Breakfast was lovely aswell. We would highly recommend and would definitely return again if we were in the area.

We stayed here for one night as it was a long way to travel in a day. Checking in was easy, access to the room easy. Plenty of tea and coffee in the room clean, tidy and comfortable. Breakfast was preordered at check in and got. To say it was of very high standard. Staff that we had contact with were pleasant and helpful. Would recommend this hotel to anyone.

We stayed 3 nights as part of a classic car group, room excellent, food great, staff very friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend. Very handy for Beamish and other local attractions with close proximity to A1. Although close to A1 no traffic noise when windows closed. Would recommend if using sat-nav to put hotel name in rather than post code.

We booked the hotel as our stop over for a golf competition at Ravensworth From the minute we checked in with Richard who also worked tirelessly through the whole night to the check out in the morning. Every single member of staff were exceptional. Very friendly and attentive to us through the entire stay.. The food in the restaurant was first class also. Great menu. You can tell the hotel and bar are run superbly the management and staff were faultless.. I’ll definitely be returning again to this fantastic hotel. I Really can not praise everyone enough.. Kind regards Ian Ryder

Visited with family, stayed five nights, food excellent with great choice. Staff very friendly and helpful. Room very comfortable and plenty of very convenient parking spaces. Great base for touring the area especially the Beamish Museum, Durham and Newcastle on Tyne. Highly recommended, and definitely stay here again.
